It was the crack of dawn, the sun slowly rising on the horizon, casting a soft golden glow in the room. Emma stirred from her slumber, extending her arms and legs, relishing the comforting warmth of the blanket against her skin. She caught a glimpse at the clock in the wall and realized it was already morning. As she slowly sat up, gently rubbing the sleep off her eyes, she was completely taken aback when her eyes scanned  the empty space besides her in bed. She felt a pang of unease as the entire situation of her wedding night came rushing back to her.

“What have I gotten myself into?” She asked herself.

She walked into the living room hoping to find him there but he was nowhere to be found. To her amazement, she noticed a stunning array of arranged dishes on the dining table .

“Is this for me?” she  whispered to herself with a  smile lighting up her face. Making a way to the table her gaze landed on a little notes placed near the dishes. The note reads:

“I hope this brightens your day”

Filled with excitement, she hurried to the bathroom to freshen up, quickly brushing her teeth. Returning to the table, she gazed at the delicious spread of food before her. “He’s so thoughtful, maybe he isn’t so bad after all.” she murmured to her self. With each bite, she savored the food.  After finishing her food, she settled on to the sofa and turned on the television. She search for an exciting show to watch. A gentle knock on the door startled her. She opened the door and saw a man standing there, holding a parcel in his hands.

“I have a delivery for Miss Emma.” he said.

“Who is it from?” Emma  asked.

“It’s from Mr. Mike Williams.” The delivery guy replied. “Please sign here.”

Emma took the pen and signed

“Thank you, have a good day.” Emma said.

She eagerly unwrapped the package, revealing a beautiful red dress and a shoe. On top of it was another note, telling her a car would be there to  pick her up in the evening. The note added “My first gift to you as my wife. Look beautiful, I have a surprise for you.”

Emma’s face lit up with a big smile. She was filled with anticipation as she prepared for her husband’s surprise. The dress fits her perfectly, the color complimenting her skin. She looked absolutely stunning. Her mind was buzzing with thoughts about what it could possibly be. A gentle knock on the door brought her back to reality. She opened the door and saw a man standing there.

“Good evening ma’am. I’m here to pick up Miss Emma” he said.

She smiled and followed he to the car. It was a quiet ride. Emma stepped out of the car and  into the hotel, her presence commanding attention. With a warm smile she greeted the receptionist.

“Good evening. I’m here to see Mr Mike Williams.” Said Emma.

“Ok, please hold on a minute.” The receptionist replied.

The receptionist dialed his number and after a brief conversation she replied “He’s expecting you. He’s in room 206.”

“Thank you.” Emma replied gratefully.

Emma made her way to the elevator. She ascended to the designated floor, her heart pounding with suspense. “What could be the surprise” she wondered aloud. Finally, the elevator door opened revealing a dimly lit Corridor leading to room 206. She approached the door, feeling a mixture of her excitement and nervousness. She raised her hand and knocked softly. The door swung open revealing a figure in the shadow. She walked into the room and  there he was, in a crisp white shirt  and a black trouser that fits his tall stature and broad shoulders.

“You look absolutely breathtaking in red!” Mike said as he handed her a glass of wine. His eyes traveled from top of her head down to her toes. He couldn’t help but noticed how the dress beautifully accentuated her curves. “Gosh, you look like a model.” He said complementing her again.

“Thank you” she replied blushing while sipping from her glass of wine. She took a quick look around the room and noticed petals scattered on the floor. The room was filled with aroma of scented candles and the bed was adorned with petals arranged to spell out the word “Love.”

“Wow, this is amazing.” She said. She  couldn’t help but feel touched by his thoughtfulness.

“How are you able to afford all this?” she asked.

“Don’t worry about it. I had a little help from a friend.” He replied. He held her close, his voice filled with tenderness as he whispered in her ears, “I really  want to apologize for last night, I should not have been so overwhelmed by my emotions.”  Instantly a wave of nervousness washed over her and he could sense it.

“Just as I said  I don’t  want you to feel pressured in doing anything you are not comfortable with.” Mike said, trying to calm her down.  “I’m more than willing to wait.”  He kissed her forehead and went straight to the bathroom.

She maintained a calm face, trying not to show any expression as she watched him heading for the bathroom. She sat on the bed and  murmured to herself  “He’s a gentle and loving man and there’s no denying the attraction I feel towards him. After all, he’s my husband.”

She gently took off her clothes. She pushed the door open and joined Mike in the bathroom. She went closer to him and gently placed her hands on his chest. Her eyes drifted to his lips and before he knew it, her lips are on his.

"You are not forcing me to do anything  I don’t want to do.” Emma said as she gently pulled away.

Hearing those exact words from her, he allowed himself to act on his desires. With one hand he dragged her closer and pressed a kiss on her lips. He scooped her up, cradling her in his arms as he carried her out of the bathroom. Tenderly, he wrapped her in a towel and carried her to the bed covered with petals. He kissed her passionately as he lay on top of her.  He hesitated for a bit, he looked at her with passion as called her “Mrs Emma Williams.”

Emma smiled,  dragged him closer and kissed him, as the kissing intensified he caress her body softly, grabbed her hips causing a delightful moan to escape from her lips. He brought out a protection and wore it.  Just as he attempted to enter her, he felt her tensed up, her eyes shut tightly, and her lips clenched in nervousness.

"I am sorry,” He said as he wrapped her with a towel. “I  shouldn't have gone this far, you are not fine yet, and we have the rest of our lives to do this.” Mike said looking guilty and he walked into the bathroom. He dressed up and spoke softly “the  car would be waiting for you when you are ready.”  He just walked away from Emma without even looking at her. Emma’s heart sank as she wondered, “Did I do something wrong?” She curled up, holding herself tightly.
