Catherine's POV:
It's been two whole weeks. Often times I felt really nauseous and sick to my stomach that I needed to rush to the bathroom and puke in the toilet most of the time Ashley and I were working during the day.
After I'm done I would come back into the room with a pale paper white face. And I felt dizzy and unsteady when I walk.
Ashley brought me water to freshen up, but I think the water was making it even worse. I wasn't getting any better.
There was a day when we were working when I suddenly felt really sleepy and kept yawning throughout our discussion.
Ashley looked at me with a worried expression on her face.
"You should lay back down to rest first, Luna"
I would've refused given the hard-headed, stubborn part of me was. But surprisingly, Ashley acted pretty stricty like an angry mom who was controlling herself to not get angry at a silly child, me. This is ridiculous, I though. We're just in th
Catherine’s POV: After catching him kiss another goddess-damn woman, he surprisingly had the nerve to alpha tone me, angering my wolves as they growl with the depressing feeling of betrayal that was destroying every bit of me, little by little, piece by piece. My body froze instantly, and I struggled to move. My paws trembled, and I let out a loud, threatening growl aimed at Damien whose stinky scent is waving my way at the moment. That didn't stop the tears from flowing though. I still couldn't control my increased hormones because of my pregnancy, which apparently doesn't amount to anything right now knowing what he had just done. My wolves growled at him once again, taking the reins from me voluntarily and I let them. I receded back to my own, emoty space and finally succumbed to the darkness deep inside me. I kept ponderin
Samantha’s POV: Five years. Five years passed, but all I ever thought about was Damien. “When do you plan to come back? It has already been a whole year, an awful lot of time to spend your vacation. I’m warning you Samantha, if you don't come back to me...” That night, father called me and gave me a warning, saying if I wasn't planning to go back and assume my position as the president of our company, he swore he’d track me down and burn everything I love to the ground. It's a pity I’m the only child of the great oh Raymond Riley, President of the top mobile tech company, Appsider. Knowing he wouldn't be able to bear any more children in his age, he’d finally decided to hand me the responsibility I’ve always longed for. But then, everything changed when I met Damien. I learned about his world, and oddly my desire to take over my father’s company vanished in an instant. I took one look at his wonderful world, a place I never though existed, and
BACK TO PRESENT-- Samantha's POV: This isn't happening. Why the hell is this woman claiming to be Damien's mate?! Who does she even think she is?! Does she honestly think she can steal MY Damien away from me after enduring five long years without him staying right beside me all this time? Does she honestly think just because their so-called MOON GODDESS paired them together, she can easily snatch my lover away from me just like that?! I tried all my best to keep a neutral face in front of a seemingly lovers' quarell going on about here. "I’m so so sorry... But nothing happened between us.” Damien spoke up and I stared at him in utter disbelief. Did he forget already everything we've done in a whole year? We've done almost everything! I've given him everythine a man could possibly want! And yet there he stands and even has the audacity to tell his 'mate' that nothing actually happened
Catherine's POV: In the end, I was forced to stay at Damien's room, and he made sure I was being watched everywhere I go in every corner of that huge mansion. No matter how much Raya and MIdnight went against him on it, Damien is still the Alpha, Still, I couldn't forget what I saw that time, Damien kissed that human girl. All I know is that her name's Samantha, and Damien had lost her five years ago, in what they had always thought to be kidnapping. As for me, I doubt that was actually the case. Who would be able to get past plenty of patrol guards at night, especially in broad daylight just to kidnap someone from the inside? Unless, of course, she left on her own. I was combing my hair while sitting on Damien's bed. I just got out of the shower to freshen myself up after a long f*cking day and a three-hour drive from the Silver Moon Pack territory to the Blood Moon Pack. Midnight still can't calm herself do
Samantha’s POV: Last night, Damien led to me to the guest room. I kept glancing at him and everything but he won’t even look at me in the eye. The air surrounding us was dead silent. I couldn’t contain my own emotions in front of him but he still won’t say anything, so I though of a little something. I looked down and purposely tripped myself to stumble beside Damien. I shrieked as though I was really shocked and I even almost fell face down the floor. Luckily, my expectations were met. Damien caught me right on time, as he held my head and legs while leaning down to balance my body on the floor. I immediately grabbed his shoulder and we finally gazed into each other’s eyes. I smirked while his brows furrowed at me. “What’s the matter, Damien? Didn't you always liked holding me like this before?” I asked sarcastically. Damien sighed and put me back on my feet. He was about t
Catherine’s POV: The next morning, I woke up and found Damien was gone. His covers were slightly messed up, as traces of him getting out of bed were left there for me to see. I touched the empty space he lied on and noticed it was still warm. That means he just got himself out of bed before I woke up. I glanced at the wall clock, and frowned when I saw it was already nine-thirty in the morning. I quickly got up, and headed to the bathroom to take a shower. After I was done preparing and changing into clean clothes for the day, I went my way down the staircase. My stomach was grumbling so bad, and realized I haven’t eaten at all last night because of that incident. It instantly made me lose my and the baby’s appetite when I saw Damien kissing that girl like he did me. Seeing them that way somehow made me all queasy deep inside, pulling
Catherine's POV: "I've been thinking, and wondering. When you rejected me and after I accepted your rejection, something happened to me. I thought it was just because of the pain from the unfortunate events that happened between us, but it turns out to be something else. My heart kept on beating intensely everytime I show myself to people in this pack, especially Demiana." He explained. Wait, did he just say Demiana? Damien's older sister? My ears perked up as I suddenly felt the feeling of excitement rush through me when I heard him say her name. "Go on," I urged him, listening attentively as I leaned in closer to him, and he did the same. We put down our egg sandwiches before we spoke further about his situation. "That day, when I regained my consciousness, I woke up and saw Demiana sleeping by my side. I don't know why, but I felt really weird, like my heart co
Alpha Damien’s POV: Catherine was sleeping peacefully on her side of the bed, and I didn’t want her to wake up just yet seeing the dark eye bags under those emerald green eyes. She looked like she really needed her sleep, so I let her. It’s currently eight-thirty in the morning, and I feel like a douche lying here wide-eyed while starting at Catherine’s sleeping face. Anyways, I wanted to gaze at her beautiful face a little bit more before going down to make her breakfast on bed. I reached my hand out in front of her and waved my hand at her eyes, testing whether she was still awake or still in a deep sleep after a long trip from her
