Catherine's POV:
My face still burned in embarrassment and humiliation as I faced an entire different pack. Closing my eyes, I tried to tell myself over and over again not to show any weakness in front of them, especially my new mate.
'It's okay, Catherine. Our mate is here. He will protect us, and I'm sure of it." Raya said that to cheer me up and bring me out of my depressed state.
'Maybe you're right this time, Raya. I think so, too.' I admitted. It's true that I felt Alpha Damien's scent more fragrant and comforting, far from what it seemed like with Easton. I had sensed a genuineness that eminated only from Alpha Damien. Despite his terrifying aura and appearance, I could tell he's not really an evil person, or anything of the sort.

Catherine's POV: All at once, I heard the door swing open with a loud bang. My head jolted to face the direction where I heard the sound and saw, him. I though I had skipped a beat just when I saw his eyes turn full black, meaning his alpha wolf might just take over his body any moment now.
