Chapter 23

Catherine's POV:

'Oh, he's blushing alright.' Raya emerged in my thoughts a little while after Alpha Damien exited my room.

'Maybe he just got skittish. Don't think too much about it,' I told her.

'Girl, admit it. You obviously like him, too'

Rolling my eyes, I bent down to pick up his lounge coat, lifted it to my nose, and sniffed it. Goddess, his scent. The scent of sweet, hot cocoa and fresh vanilla filled my nose and sent comfort to all the right places of my body. I inhaled his scent once more and for a third time, when I just realized what I was doing. Although I was merely sniffing out his coat, it felt more like I was commiting a sin.

'You can say that,' I decided to place his coat down on the mahogany four-poster bed and take my mind off of his scent, his beautiful blood red eyes, and his cute bashful expression upon seeing my naked body just a while back with only the two of us in a single room.

I looked around the room. Ther
