Katie had kept her fear and anger under control while in the middle of the festival, but now that they were out on the darkened street, this was her chance. She had seen the way Sam looked at her. Like she was a stranger. Just moments before he had been talking about how she’d changed the world for the better—his world. And now? Well, he wasn’t going to be any help. Katie was just another problem he had to deal with. But one thing was for sure. She wasn’t going to go with Teddy quietly.
