Anastasia's POV

‎The next morning, we left Demetrios's estate.

‎The old man embraced me warmly at the door, his arms surprisingly strong for his age. He held me for a long moment, then pulled back to look at me properly, his eyes glistening.

‎"You're always welcome here, child," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "This is your home now too, don't forget that."

‎I felt a lump form in my throat. "Thank you, Demetrios."

‎"And if Nikolai ever gives you trouble…." He shot a pointed loo

  • Bound By A Billion-Dollar Lie   Blinded by her emotions

Nikolai POV My confrontation with Damon Pierce the previous night was all I could think about as I sat in the silence of my office. The meeting had been tense, charged with threats and posturing. Damon had made it clear he wasn't backing down. He'd looked at me with that infuriating smirk, his eyes glinting with satisfaction. "I think she's starting to see that you're not worth it, and she's slowly slipping away." he'd said. The words still burned. I'd made my position clear that I would destroy him if he touched Anastasia. I meant every word but even as I sat there, replaying the conversation, I couldn't shake the feeling that Damon was right about one thing. Anastasia was slipping away from me and I didn't know how to stop it. A knock on my door pulled me from my thoughts. "Come in." Elias entered, a folder in his hand. "Sir, I have the reports on Reed & Associates you requested." "Lea

  • Bound By A Billion-Dollar Lie   Emotional Rollercoaster

Anastasia's POVI stood frozen, my hand pressed to my stinging cheek, unable to process what had just happened. The pain was sharp, radiating through my jaw, but it was nothing compared to the shock. My father had slapped me. My own father had raised his hand to me like I was a child to be disciplined. He walked back to the office, breathing heavily, his eyes wild with anger. His face was flushed, his fists clenched at his sides."You've always been ungrateful," he spat. "Your entire life, I've given you everything, and you've thrown it back in my face. You deserve worse than this."I stared at him, my shock slowly transforming into something else, it was something cold and hard. Cold fury."You shouldn't have come back here, Get out of my office," I said, my voice low and dangerous. He laughed. "I'm not leaving until you give me what I came for. The money, the support and everything I've asked for.""I said get out.""Or what? You'll call security?" He stepped closer, his eyes mockin

  • Bound By A Billion-Dollar Lie   Who Needs A Father?

Anastasia’s POVI woke up the following morning to an empty bed.The sheets beside me were cold, a sign that either Nikolai didn't sleep here or he left too early. I reached out, my fingers brushing against the empty space, and the events of the previous night came flooding back. The kiss, the confession. The way he'd held me like I was the most precious and only thing in the world.I sat up, pressing my palms to my eyes, overwhelmed by the emotions swirling within me. I didn't know what to do with any of it. The possessiveness he'd shown, the way he'd refused to let me go, the raw vulnerability in his voice when he'd told me I was his.‘You're mine, Anastasia and I do not share what is mine.’ His words continually echoing in my head over and over again.I hated how much those words affected me. I hated how hard it was getting not to be taken by his charms. Every time I tried to build a wall between us, he found a way to tear it down, I'm so pissed at myself.Pissed that I'd revealed

  • Bound By A Billion-Dollar Lie   Confronting Damon Pierce

Nikolai POVI was totally taken by surprise. Her lips on mine, soft and hesitant at first, then growing bolder, more demanding. I'd expected her to pull away, to push me aside, to walk out that door and never look back. Instead, she kissed me like all she ever needed was me.When she finally pulled back, her eyes were dark, her breath uneven. She was still in my arms, her body pressed against mine, her hands fisted in my shirt."Since you ruined my date plans," she said, her voice low and daring, "you'll have to make up for it."I stared at her, momentarily speechless. Then a slow, predatory smile spread across my face."I'm more than willing to comply," I murmured.I kissed her again. This time, there was no hesitation. No uncertainty. She kissed me back with a hunger that matched my own, her fingers tangling in my hair, pulling me closer. I lifted her effortlessly, her legs wrapping around my waist as I carried her toward the bedroom.I laid her down on the bed, the red dress poolin

  • Bound By A Billion-Dollar Lie   An Invitation

Nikolai POVIt had taken every ounce of self-control I possessed not to go after Damon Pierce the moment Elias told me about his visit to Anastasia's office and the thought of him near her or even within her breathing space made my blood boil. But I held back and told myself to trust her, to give her space and let her come to me when she was ready. Then I saw her in that dress. The red dress. The heels. The hair styled perfectly, her lips painted a shade that made my mouth go dry. She was stunning, devastatingly stunning and she was dressed for another man.In that moment all my self-control evaporated. I walked towards her and pulled her into my arms, my body pressed against hers, my hand wrapped around her lower back. She was warm, soft, smelled extremely nice and so impossibly beautiful that it hurt to look at her.I couldn't lose her, not to Damon or to anyone else."You're mine, Anastasia and I do not share what is mine."The words had come out rough, raw, possessive in a way I'd

  • Bound By A Billion-Dollar Lie   You’re Mine

Anastasia’s POVI was on a video call with Zara, my phone leaning against the vanity mirror as I held up two dresses, waiting for her verdict.Zara was still at her office, handling some late-night job, but she'd insisted on helping me decide. Her face filled the screen, her expression amused as she watched me model the options."The red one," she said firmly. "Definitely the red one. It's giving bold and confident. It says, 'I'm here to take what I want.'"I held up the black one. "What about this?""Boring, you wear black every day. Tonight, you need to make a statement." She paused, a sly grin spreading across her face. "So, have you and Nikolai made up already? Or is this a 'make him jealous' kind of thing?"I set the black dress aside. "I haven't made up with Nikolai."Zara's grin faltered. "Wait, what?""I'm going out with someone else.""Someone else?" She blinked, clearly confused. "Who?""Damon Pierce."Zara's face went pale. "Damon Pierce? As in, the guy who's trying to dest
