Amelie’s POV

…His head turned slightly from the impact and for a moment I felt very proud of myself.

The hit wasn't as hard as I would have wanted it to be, but it still works for me.

A slow smirk spread across his face. Not angry. Not mocking.

Just Impressed.

Impressed that I had hit him?

“Good,” he said. “Do it again.”

I blinked. “Seriously?”

I found it hard to believe that a hit as sloppy as that made him this impressed with me.

Matteo stepped backward, lifting his hands. “You think I’d waste breath lying to you?”

I didn’t answer. I just squared up, fists raised—awkward but determined.

He struck first this time, a slow jab. I blocked it—barely—and retaliated with a hook that went too wide.

“Too slow,” he barked, sidestepping. “Commit or don’t bother.”

I scowled, then moved in again. He caught my wrist and flipped me easily onto my back.

“Oof,” I grunted as I fell on my back.

The air left my lungs in a rush and I lay there, blinking at the ceiling like that had all the answers rhat

  • Bound By Blood: The Step-Brothers' Temptation   Nico

_Author’s POV_Amelie stayed at a spot for what seemed to be hours. Who she was waiting for? She couldn't tell. Luca hadn't left his office since she sank down at his door and she was happy he didn't. What excuse would she give it he asked what was wrong with her?She couldn't say that she was stuck between which brother to choose. She couldn't say that she was scared of what his brothers would say if they found out. She also couldn't say that she might also have feelings for his brothers. So she closed her eye and let herself feel every emotion hitting her at once.“Why the hell are you there?” Liana screeched, crossing the distance to Amelie in long strides. She had searched her over for her until she saw Amelie sitting here like some abandoned child..Amelie didn’t even flinch. She remained curled in the hallway corner, knees pulled tight to her chest, her back pressed to the cold wall outside Luca’s office. Her eyes were red-rimmed, dry but heavy, like she’d already cried e

  • Bound By Blood: The Step-Brothers' Temptation   Choice

The silence in Luca’s office felt like warm after what they had shared.Amelie sat on the edge of the leather chair across from his desk, her fingers loosely knotted in her lap. Her clothes were back on, hair tucked behind her ears, but her skin still hummed from what they’d shared. She wasn’t sure if she felt whole or shattered. Maybe both. She hadn't regretted anything they did, but some part of her questioned it all. Especially since she had told him she loved him. At that moment, Nico and Matteo had flashed through her mind. And she wondered what their reaction would be when they found out. Luca didn’t say much after. Just a quiet hum as he pulled his shirt back over taut muscle and went back to shuffling papers. He hadn’t dismissed her. That mattered to her in ways she wasn’t ready to unpack. Then—he brushed a hand gently down her back, fingertips pressing just enough to make her breath hitch.“You’re quiet,” he said, not looking up.But he felt it, she was thinking of so man

  • Bound By Blood: The Step-Brothers' Temptation   Undone

Amelie’s POVHis words echoed in my bones. You’ll be my undoing, Amelie.I didn’t realize how much I wanted to be undone too—how badly I wanted to shed the guilt, the distance, the ache of pretending I hadn’t broken something precious between us.We were so close I could feel the tension in his breath, the restraint in his jaw. I hadn’t meant to kiss him like that. I just couldn’t not. The moment begged for it. His eyes dared me. My soul ached for him to taste my regret and decide to forgive me with his mouth. Now we sat in the stillness after. His forehead rested against mine. One of his hands was cradling the back of my neck, and the other still lingered on my thigh from when I climbed onto his desk and dropped my pride at his feet.“Say something,” I whispered. His thumb brushed over my skin again. “If I speak, I might ruin it.”“You won’t,” I said. “You can’t.”“Don’t be so sure.” His voice was low, cracked with emotion. “I’ve ruined plenty of things in my life.”I leaned in and p

  • Bound By Blood: The Step-Brothers' Temptation   My undoing

Luca’s POVI had buried myself in paperwork since then. Ink bled across contracts I wasn’t reading, I signed documents I didn’t give a damn about. My eyes moved, my hand scrawled initials, but none of it mattered. Not when every second felt like a war—my body burning with restraint, my mind screaming for silence.Silence from the echo of her voice. Silence from the memory of her doubt.Because all I could think of at this point was her. And her betrayal. The look on her face when I asked her to believe me, and she said she couldn't. She hadn’t believed me. When I told her the truth, she had looked at me like I was the monster under her bed. And maybe I was. But not to her. Never to her.So I stayed away, because that was the best thing to do. Because keeping my distance was the only way I wouldn’t do something reckless. Something I couldn’t take back.Like drag her into my arms and kiss the apology out of her mouth. Like ruining her just to feel whole again. And God knows just ho

  • Bound By Blood: The Step-Brothers' Temptation   Kiss or Kill

Nico’s POV Somewhere between obsession and control, there’s her. I watched her from the surveillance feed—center mat, sweat-soaked, fists trembling, barely upright. She had no idea I was watching. She never did. That was the problem. The way she looked at Matteo when he wiped the sweat from her brow—frozen, breathless, like he’d handed her the sun. He hadn’t. He gave her exactly what I told him to: pain. Precision. Fear. But she didn’t flinch from him. Not the way she should have. We all knew what she did to Luca. How she had accused him without wanting to believe his words. And it hurt him more than he let out because if the reverse was the case, he wouldn't even think twice before he believed her. I leaned back in the chair, fingers steepled in front of my mouth, the glow of the monitor reflecting off my eyes. Matteo’s voice echoed faintly over the speakers—“Same time tomorrow. Don’t be late.” Good. She needed this. She needed to stop playing pet and start ac
