Talana left the Morrelli villa in Reggio Calabria and headed for Vibo Valentia, and headed for the abandoned factories. Approximately an hours drive.

Meanwhile, in Catanzaro, old man Sanchiano had organized for two of his very best to head to Vibo Valentia to protect Talana, giving them strict instructions.

Arriving at the abandoned factories, Talana stepped out of the vehicle and entered the property.

Searching, she finally found Gianna. "Hang in there, my friend," she whispered.

As Talana tried to untie Gianna, she heard a deep male voice and froze. "Doctor Fabrizio." The smug voice called out.

"Let my friend go. Say want you want, but let her go. She's innocent in all this." Talana reasoned woth them.

"All with in due time, my dear," he laughed.

Pablo Fabrizio walked over to Gianna and untied her.

As Talana was about to grab her friend, she was pulled back by other strong male. "Fiesty, aren't we Miss Fabrizio. I guess Morelli likes them this way. Too bad he won't get to taste you," the voice dripped with sarcasm.

"You fucking bastard!" Talana shouted at her father. "You think you going to get away with this? Max will have your head.

"Don't you think Max won't look for me?" her eyes blazed with anger as they locked on her father. "Max is coming, and when he does, there won't be enough place in hell for you to hide!"

A smirked lined on Drake's face. "You belong to me to do with as I like!"

Gianna, by now, was free, de Marco's henchman had blind-folded her and dragged her to the other end of the factory lots.

As they drove off, Sanchianos men picked her up and put her in their car, heading for Sanchianos villa. As they arrived, the old man ushered her in. "Where's Talana?" the old man asked.

"She's still inside. Her father and Drake de Marco are inside," she explained.

"Talana's still there. We have Gianna. It was a trap. They set Talana up. Exchange," Sanchiano explained.

"I'm going in," Massimo insisted.

"I'm sending my men with you," he insisted.

"There's someone else on the lookout," Gianna shouted.

"I don't know who he is, but he is not one of de Marco's or a Fabrizio," she explained.

Massimo paused. "Could this be the rat in my clan?" he thought to himself.

"I've got it, Mr Sanchiano. Send two of your men to meet me there," Massimo ordered.

Before de Marco and Pablo could do anything Massimo’s maserati sounded. The sound of three vehicles screeching to a halt.

At the entrance was Raphael. He hadn't had a chance to hide. "You bloody piece of shit," Massimo blazed at the sight of him.

"Matteo!" he roared, "take him back! I'll deal with him later."

Not sparing Raphael, another glance, his mind was on getting inside, he left Raphael to, Matteo, while he, and Lorenzo met inside with Sanchianos men.

"Did you really think I would leave her to you?" he roared. "Fabrizio, the only reason you're still breathing right now is because Talana asked me once to spare you. That mercy just ran out."

"Then kill me," he tested Massimo's patience.

"No, I want to see you suffer the way you made Talana suffer. I'll leave you to Sanchiano," Massimo's relished in the mention of the old man's name.

Pablo's face went ashen at the mention of his in-laws' name. "You wouldn't dare!"

"Oh, but I would. But not before I make you watch while I burn everything you, de Marco and Donatello have built, burn to the ground," he threated, his tone dripping with condescension.

Drake de Marco, hearing those words, gripped Talana tighter by the hair, with a knife to her throat.

"I'm warning you, hurt her, and I won't think twice of my next move," Massimo threatened as he edged closer to Talana.

As Massimo moved closer, Talana managed to get into a space where she could do some damage, enabling her to get free from de Marco's claws.

"This isn't over!" he yelled as he fired a shot that just missed Massimo.

Just as Massimo was about to shoot back, Lorenzo fired a short injury to Marco's shoulder, forcing him to release his grip on Talana.

"I am aware it's not over!" Massimo responded.

Talana dashed for Massimo, who caught her effortlessly in his arms. "You're safe now, angel," he responded.

"Gianna?" she asked.

"She's safe. I'll take you to her. There's so much you need to know," he responded.

Meanwhile, Drake was on the ground cursing as he clutched his bleeding shoulder.

Turning to Sanchianos' men, he said, "Take him, don't kill him. I'll speak with Don Sanchiano."

"You can't do this!" Pablo Fabrizio shouted.

"Oh, but I already have," his laughter thick with intent.

"Sanchianos residence," Massimo ordered.

Massimo in the back sea with Talan, holding her close to him. "Did he hurt you, angel?" his voice laced with concern.

"A little, but nothing I can't handle," she responded, laying her head on his shoulder. For the first time in forever, Talana felt safe.Someone else besides Gianna that she could trust.

Arriving at Don Sanchiano, Massimo helped Talana out of the vehicle.

"Why are we here?" she asked curiously.

"Well, for one, we need to get Gianna. Two, there is someone you need to meet," he explained in not so much detail.

"Who?" she quizzed.

"Remember I told you I would answer your questions. Well, today, some of those questions will be answered. Who I am and what my interest is in you," he explained.

Heading into the Sanchiano villa, Masso and Talana were greeted by Roberto Sanchiano and his son Mariano Sanchiano.

"You look just like your mother," Roberto Sanchiano said, admiring the beauty in his granddaughter.

"You knew my mother?" Talana asked.

"We did, but first come sit and have some refreshments. Mariano, go fetch the young lady," he ordered in a gentle tone.

Gianna came out, and the two friends hugged, reconnecting immediately. "Are you okay?" Gianna asked.

"I am now. I'm just glad you got to safety. I almost died when I heard they kidnapped you for me," she threw her arms around Gianna.

"Massimo, thank you for getting her out there," Gianna said, softening to Massimo.

"Wait? What? You're Massimo Morrelli? The Don of the Morrelli mafia?" her eyes were wide like saucers as she questioned him.

"That is me, angel, but I am here to protect you," he promised, "you will understand everything tonight, I promise. Just trust me."

They sat at the dining room table enjoying a family meal. For the first time since her mother died, Talana felt like she was home. She didn't know why, but all would be revealed soon.

The air in Tangier was thick with salt and spice, clinging to the skin like memory. Talana stood on the terrace of the El Minzah Hotel, her eyes scanning the glimmering shoreline. From here, the city looked like a dream painted in gold and ivory, but beneath it pulsed the dark arteries of a world she had come to cleanse."They confirmed," Aria said behind her. "Five syndicates. All sending senior delegates. De Marco’s ghosts will be there."Talana nodded. Her tailored suit was bone-white, the color of surrender and burial shrouds, she intended to give them both."Have the Blood Orchids arrived?"Aria handed her a velvet-lined case. Inside, six black orchids, genetically altered, poisoned at the tips. A symbol. A threat. A promise.Talana closed the case. "Place one at every table."Aria raised a brow. "Subtle.""Not meant to be."The summit was to take place in the old Palais du Bey, a forgotten fortress now reclaimed for its beauty and brutality. It had once been a house of concubine

The sky over Florence was a brittle shade of winter blue, the kind that seemed to hold its breath, waiting for something to break. Inside the private chapel of the Sanchiano estate, nothing moved except for the golden flicker of votive candles, casting long shadows against ancient stone walls. The altar was cleared. The icons veiled. What was about to take place here wasn’t sanctioned by Church or law, it belonged to something older.Talana stood at the head of the nave, a tailored black suit replacing the bloodied silks of war. Her hair was swept back, a single strand curling free against her cheek. On her finger, the Sanchiano ring gleamed. No tiara. No crown. Just the weight of inheritance.Gianna stood to her right, fierce and calm in a dark crimson coat, holding the family ledger in gloved hands. Aria was on her left, silent but coiled, a blade beneath her dress. Massimo remained behind her, the only one who knew what it had cost to stand here. The pews were filled not with pries

The morning broke grey over the Tuscan hills, mist crawling low over the vineyards like secrets trying to find their voice. The doorbell rang, a courier from the pathologist brought the envelope. Talana, was the first one up. She received the report and now stood at the edge of the terrace, the wond tugging at her sleeves, envelope in hand. Massimo walked behind her, two mugs of coffee in hand. "You not going to open it?" He asked handing her, her cup. Wrapping her hands around its warmth, envelope under her arm now. "I will, I just need to brace for whatever the results are."He took the mug from her hands, "Open it Bella Mia."Talana opened the envelope and read the results her eyes widening in confusion. "And?" Massimo asked. "Negative," she responded, "the results are negative."She stood there, the image of her mother still echoed in her mind, even though she now knew the woman in the photograph wasn't Rosalina.Whoever had written the letter and taken that photo had gone to

  • Bound By Mafia Blood   Chapter 126 - Coming For What's Mine

The photograph sat on the desk like a relic from another life. Talana stared at it for the third hour straight, as if her mother might suddenly blink or speak from within the frame. The woman in the image looked older, gaunter, her face more drawn than Talana remembered, but the eyes were the same. Rosalina Sanchiano, alive in 2019. Or someone who wore her face. She couldn’t stop turning the question in her mind: "Was this the truth, or another carefully laid lie? A misdirection planted by De Marco before his fall? A ghost conjured to unsettle her?"Behind her, the door opened without a knock. Massimo stepped in, silent as shadow, a glass of water in his hand. He placed it beside her, brushing his fingers against hers. "Still no sleep angel?" he asked gently. She shook her head. "How can I sleep when every answer opens a deeper question?"Massimo looked at the photo, then the letter. He picked it up, scanned it again slowly, as if trying to absorb every stroke of the pen. When he fini

The scent of old paper and cold stone filled the study buried beneath the east wing of the estate. Talana sat alone at the massive oak desk, the flickering lamplight casting her shadow long across the walls. Before her lay a single scrap of paper, aged, yellowed, but unmistakably deliberate.“La madre non è mai morta.”The mother was never dead. She must have read it at least twenty times already, memorized the slope of each letter, the smudge on the edge, the tilt of the final dot. It wasn’t Pablo’s handwriting. It wasn’t De Marco’s. It was from someone who wanted her to know something, or suffer from believing it.Her hands shook as she folded the note again. Was it real? A trap? Hope? Madness? The door creaked as Mariano entered, his steps slow, careful. He carried no gun, no files, no bravado. Just his eyes, which avoided hers.“Close the door,” Talana said quietly. He obeyed. The heavy click echoed like a judgment in the silence. She turned, lifting the note. “Who gave this to me

Talana lingered in the kiss, letting her lips soften against his, the night wrapping around them like silk. When she finally pulled back, her forehead remained against Massimo’s chest. His heartbeat was steady, but low, a sound she had come to rely on like a compass in a world that had spun far too many times.“Do you think we’ll ever stop counting losses?” she whispered.Massimo didn’t answer right away. His hand found hers on the rail, fingers interlacing. “No,” he said. “But maybe we can stop bleeding from them.”They stood like that for a while, two warriors dressed in night air and silence. Below, the sea growled softly, as if trying to keep its secrets.A knock came at the door behind them. Massimo turned. His posture shifted, not tensed, not hostile, but alert. He glanced at Talana before moving back inside.“Come in.”It was Marco, one of Mariano’s oldest men, graying at the temples, trench lines etched into his face like carved marble. He held a leather-bound case against his
