The Three Alphas (Part 2)

“How is she?”

Asked a man with a slick hairstyle in an expensive suit, his demeanor was elegant, and with a very handsome face, he looked absolutely dreamy. As Payne turned his head to him, looking annoyed, the man just raised his hand, giving up to ask further. “I am just asking, Payne, since I let you come to my territory to keep her in hiding.”

“And I am grateful for it, Gale, really grateful, but please be discreet, this young woman is going to become one of the most wanted women in our entire society,” Payne said to Gale, with gritted teeth. He wanted to avoid asking for help, but sadly his territory wasn’t close enough to Arthur’s territory in the west region.

When he remembered her desperate phone call last night, Payne immediately ran in his werewolf form, just leaving behind a small note to his trusted Beta, thankfully he didn’t forget to ask permission to enter Gale’s territory and seek temporary protection from the noble Alpha. Gale is of noble blood in the werewolf society, which means his family tree consists of every pure-blood werewolf. Unlike Payne, who was born from two hybrid werewolves, although also a powerful hybrid, he doesn’t have the moon magic like Gale but has the physicality like no other.

Gale poured some wine and gave one glass to Payne. It is time for him to get the truth from his friend. “Who is she, Payne? I never saw you so desperate to seek some help just from some girl, before, well, I’ll admit she is a pretty one, but to have you crossing a territory, and not to mention Alpha Arthur’s territory, she is no ordinary young lady, am I right?”

“She is… the late Alpha Noah’s daughter…” Whispered Payne, his eyes stared into the wine on his hand.

“Oh, by the moon, I am sorry, Payne. I never saw her before. She was always sheltered by her Beta grandparents.”

Nodding his head, agreed with Payne’s statement, “Yeah, her f*cked up grandparents kept her inside that huge mansion, I met her once, when I got invited to one of the Bluedawn’s party a year ago, a very sheltered young lady indeed.”

Her long hair, shined in the moonlight, with her rose cheek and beautiful cat eyes, Payne got enamored by her looks immediately. Something about her makes him crazy and possessive, but the time that he spends with her gives him a lasting impression of who is Skylark Bluedawn. Daughter of Alpha Noah Bluedawn, his best friend, his savior.

Payne was only a twelve-year-old young wolf when he met Noah, a seventeen-year-old Alpha who had just gotten married to a beautiful girl from another country. They bonded through their struggles as a young wolf with an Alpha power, and when Noah loses his life, he vows to look into it and get an act of revenge, especially when he sees two-year-old Skylark at her parent’s funeral.

“Accident, that was the family statement in the end, right? I remember my father and grandfather talking about it, granted I was just a twelve-year-old wolf back then.” Said Gale to him, he had known Payne when they embarked on a human export business five years ago. They have become best friends, along with another Alpha from the Asian Branch. “By the way, I called Soma. He will come here as soon as possible.”

With a scoff, Payne looked into Gale and asked. “Why do you need to involve Soma in this?”

“Because his territory is the farthest, and we have our agreement with each other, remember?”

Payne gruntled, he put his empty wine glass on the table and walked into the window, a morning sunrise already peeking through the clouds. “Does he even here, in our country, right now?”

“Yes, he got some business in my territory. He will be here in an hour.” Gale confirmed it to Payne, as calm as he can be.

Looking at his best friend, Payne can see how calm and collected Gale can be. Although he always had a sadistic side of him hidden, he took a sigh and asked him. “Do you think she is the one?”

“I don’t know. Do you want her to be the one?” Asked Gale back, a smirk came onto his face, as he sat and looked into Payne so confidently.

“Who? The girl that you kept rambling on the telephone?” Payne and Gale turned their attention towards the man in the door, a tall and handsome Asian man, with a good physique and gorgeous smile. “I must say, it got me curious though, that’s why I came here as soon as possible.” He gave them a salute and got comfortable on one of the chairs.

While they discussed Skylark, the girl in question finally awakened from her sleep. She looks around the room, confused and in utter panic state. Medical staff who kept her in check were trying to keep her calm, while one of them called for the Alphas to come inside.

Payne came rushing into the room, where he held her in his arm, whispering calming words, with his hand brushing her hair. “It’s okay, Sky, I am here, with you, calm down.” Said Payne, while she cried and whimpered.

The other two Alpha saw her, with the exact same expression, they were attracted to her. Somehow, the animalistic instinct of their wolf's nature came. Something about the young woman is giving them all sorts of feelings. Lust, devotion, possessiveness?

“Soma… can you feel it?” Asked Gale, while his eyes kept staring at Sky in the bed.

“Yeah, I think this is it, Gale. We have found her. She is the one.” Muttered Soma, and just like Gale, his eyes never waive away from Sky.

After she felt much calmer, Gale ordered the medical staff away from the room, the three of them circling the young woman, who sat on the bed, looking confused by the three of them.

“Are you feeling okay now?” Asked Payne to her, he looked at her with a cautious expression. He is not a man who can express his feelings pretty easily in the first place.

Sky still looks around the room, the other two men have already introduced themselves as Alpha Soma, and Alpha Gale, friends of Payne. “I… I am fine… Just, confused…” She tried to make sense of her situation. “Where am I?”

“In my house… Well, the exact answer is you’re in my territory.” Answered Gale, he was leaning on the window frame with his eyes still looking at Sky.

With a frown on her face, Sky feels a bit uncomfortable by the constant staring by the Alphas. “Uhm… Alright, but, why do the three of you keep looking at me like that?”

Soma laughed at her, his towering height and also his piercing eyes of his, giving Sky a stomach cram. Strangely, not just a stomach cramp, but also another knot feeling under her belly. She likes it, but she never knew anything about this sensation.

“You’re a very strange girl, a pretty one, but also strange,” Soma said to her with a wicked smirk on his face. “I bet you’re also a virgin.”

While Sky gasped after the shocking words, Payne then glared at Soma, voicing his disagreement, “What the f*ck, Soma! Have some respect.”

Shrugging at Payne, Soma chuckles at him, “What? I mean, the sheltered princess is definitely gullible about the real world.” He turned to Sky so suddenly, “Tell me then, do you know about the bird and the bee, at least?”

Soma kept teasing her, it made Sky's face reddened and, with her pale complexion, the red blushed, making her face almost the same shade as a tomato. While Payne scolded him, Sky answered his question nervously. “I… I do know the logic, of course.”

“Well, at least your governess knows what kind of basic education that you need.” Snickered Gale on the sofa, he rarely talks, because he likes to become the listener or the watcher. Even at a certain activity, he likes to watch and will join after a little bit later. The three of them always have some preference, but never in their life, they will have to share.

“That is so sick, Soma, seriously just stop.” Gruntled Payne, while he keep trying to ask him to sit, even though he ignored his friend and kept standing in the corner, straightly looking at Sky.

Gale tried to calm the other two. “Well, at least I know where this is going. Am I right, Payne?”

“Yeah, I can see it in her.” Muttered Soma. Finally the jester is gone and he becomes more serious than before.

With a frown on her face, Sky looked directly at Payne. “Excuse me? Something in me? What are they talking about, sir?”

The question that came from Sky, gave the three of them wonder. Did she never know about her power? When they saw her, they knew immediately, that the girl would never be with just one Alpha. They saw her potential, something so powerful deep inside of her, and the three of them intended to reach into the power and keep it for themselves.
