“Sometimes, destiny doesn’t knock. It crashes through your life when you least expect it.”

The first thing Aurora Vale noticed was the silence.

Not the comforting silence that came before sunrise, but the strange, unsettling kind that made the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end.

She paused at the front door of her small apartment, her fingers tightening around the strap of her backpack. Usually, the streets of Ashwood buzzed with life—cars passing, neighbors chatting, birds singing from the towering oak trees.

Today…

Nothing.

It was as though the entire town had stopped breathing.

Aurora frowned and looked up at the sky.

Dark clouds drifted lazily across the morning sun, casting long shadows over the quiet streets. The air felt unusually cold for early autumn, carrying with it the earthy scent of damp soil and pine.

A shiver crept down her spine.

“Get a grip, Rory,” she muttered to herself. “You’re just imagining things.”

She locked the door behind her and started the familiar walk toward Moonridge University.

At twenty-one, Aurora’s life was painfully ordinary.

She attended classes, worked part-time at a cozy bookstore, and spent most evenings curled up with a fantasy novel and a mug of hot chocolate. She had no exciting love life, no family fortune, and no idea who her father had been. Her mother had died when Aurora was twelve, taking every secret about their family with her.

Since then, she’d learned not to ask questions that no one could answer.

Still…

There had always been moments she couldn’t explain.

Dreams of wolves howling beneath silver moons.

A man with crimson eyes calling her name.

A woman’s voice whispering, When the time comes, don’t run.

Every time she woke, the memories slipped away like mist.

She’d convinced herself they were only dreams.

Until today.

A car horn blared.

“Earth to Aurora!”

She looked up to see Selene Hart leaning out of her little blue hatchback, waving dramatically.

“You planning on walking in slow motion all day?”

Aurora laughed and climbed into the passenger seat.

“You know, normal people say good morning.”

Selene grinned.

“And miss the chance to make fun of you? Never.”

The two friends drove toward campus, chatting about assignments, impossible professors, and whether they should skip afternoon lectures for coffee.

For a little while, everything felt normal again.

Until they reached the university gates.

Aurora froze.

Standing across the street was a man she’d never seen before.

He was impossibly handsome.

Tall.

Broad-shouldered.

Dressed entirely in black.

Even from a distance, she could feel his eyes on her.

Dark.

Intense.

Unblinking.

The moment their gazes met, a strange warmth spread through her chest.

Then—

He disappeared.

Not by walking away.

Not by turning a corner.

He simply… wasn’t there anymore.

Aurora blinked.

“What?” Selene asked.

“There was someone…”

“Where?”

Aurora pointed toward the empty sidewalk.

“He was just standing there.”

Selene looked.

“I don’t see anyone.”

Aurora stared a moment longer before shaking her head.

“I’m probably just tired.”

Neither of them noticed the pair of crimson eyes watching from the rooftop above.

Nor the enormous black wolf hidden among the trees beyond the campus.

Both had found her.

Neither intended to leave without her.

⸻

That evening…

Rain tapped gently against Aurora’s bedroom window as she changed into her pajamas.

She rubbed her tired eyes and glanced at the clock.

11:47 p.m.

Outside, the clouds slowly parted.

Moonlight flooded her room.

The silver light settled across her skin like warm water.

Suddenly…

A sharp pain exploded beneath her collarbone.

She gasped.

Her knees buckled.

“Aah!”

The pain burned deeper, spreading through her chest like liquid fire.

She stumbled toward the mirror, gripping the edge of her dresser for support.

Her reflection stared back at her.

Then something beneath her skin began to glow.

A delicate silver crescent moon slowly appeared just below her collarbone.

Its light pulsed with the rhythm of her heartbeat.

“No…”

Aurora touched the mark with trembling fingers.

It was warm.

Real.

The lights in her room flickered violently.

The windows burst open with a deafening bang.

A freezing wind swept inside, carrying whispers that seemed to come from everywhere at once.

“She has awakened…”

“The Moon’s Daughter…”

“The prophecy begins…”

Aurora backed away in terror.

“What is happening to me?”

Far beyond Ashwood…

In Ravenfall Castle, the Vampire King slowly opened his crimson eyes.

A smile, cold and full of longing, touched his lips.

“At last.”

At the same moment, deep within Blackthorn Territory, the Alpha King threw back his head as his wolf roared inside him.

“Mate.”

Kael’s golden eyes blazed.

“Find her.”

Neither king knew the other had felt the same awakening.

But fate already did.

And before the next full moon, the paths of the vampire, the werewolf, and the Moon’s Daughter would collide in a way that would change their world forever.

  • Bound By Two Moons   The Moon Goddess’s Secret

Aurora stood frozen. She couldn’t move. She couldn’t breathe. Before her stood the Moon Goddess. But this wasn’t the divine being she had imagined. This was a memory. A memory from six hundred years ago. Aurora looked down at herself. She was a child again. Small. Young. Wearing a silver dress and a tiny crescent-shaped crown. Beside her stood the Moon Goddess. And standing on the other side was Darius. But he wasn’t the Shadow King. He was younger. His eyes were silver. His face was gentle. And he was holding Aurora’s hand. Aurora’s heart ached. “You knew him,” she whispered. The memory continued. The Moon Goddess knelt before young Aurora. “You must never tell anyone what I am about to tell you.” Young Aurora nodded. “What is it?” The Goddess looked toward Darius. “Your destiny is connected to his.” Young Aurora looked at him. “Darius?” He smiled. “I’ll protect you.” The Goddess’s expression became serious. “He will become your guardian.” Aurora wa

And when it did, it would use you to destroy every kingdom.”Aurora shook her head.“So you killed me to save everyone?”“I thought I was saving you.”“You didn’t even give me a choice.”Orion’s eyes filled with tears.“You were eighteen.”Aurora froze.“You were only eighteen when the prophecy was revealed. The Moon Goddess showed me what would happen if you remained alive.”“What did she show you?”Orion hesitated.“A battlefield.”His voice cracked.“Vampires. Werewolv
