My eyes fluttered open to the strike brightness of what looked like a hospital room. I squinted at the sudden intrusive of light and my heart was racing with disorientation. The stark reminder of what I had just escaped filled my mind-the dungeon I had been thrown into, the escape and the accusations, the betrayal and death of my mate.

“Awake, I see.” The deep voice sent chills down my spine. Turning my head slowly, I found the Alpha leaning against the wall, arms crossed and eyes boring into me. His expression serious that it made my stomach turn. I wanted to scramble from the bed and run away. I couldn’t be here anymore. I knew he would banish me from this pack and then what? I would die at the hands of rogues.

“Alpha please,” I whispered, unable to keep the tremor from my voice. I expected his fury. I had been blamed for the death of the beta after all. My mate. I should be grieving and being comforted for my loss not blamed and forced to feel like a criminal. I deserved that at th

Craig’s POV I ran a hand through my hair, torn between the accusations stinging in Carolina’s words and the heavy weight of reality hovering over us. “I didn’t choose this, Carolina,” I replied, my voice low but firm. “I didn’t want any of this to happen.” “Yet here we are,” she shot back, her gaze unwavering. “You think hiding in this old hunting lodge will save us? If they find us, it won’t matter if we’ve barricaded the door or not. We need a real plan, Craig—one that goes beyond survival. We need to fight back.” “Your father messed up big time and now you’re the one paying the price. Imagine how Alpha Zane is going to act when he finds out you’re not even dead. And Avery? You think she would come running back to you? She’s happy with Alpha Zane, I can’t believe this even happened.” Carolina continues to vent. I closed my eyes and sighed. “Stop,” I said, cutting her off before her words could wound me further. “You don’t understand.” “Then explain it to me!” Carolina sn

The darkness shuddered violently, tendrils flailing wildly as the creature's form flickered and blurred. A deafening crack echoed through the cathedral as the shadowy mass convulsed, pulling back from the strike, as if wounded—yet still alive, still malevolent.Craig’s chant grew louder, words spilling from his lips in an ancient, guttural tongue. The air thickened with energy, shimmering with arcane power. The rune-etched blade in Zane’s hand pulsed brighter, resonating with Craig’s incantation, creating a shimmering barrier of light around the creature’s core.“Hold the line!” Carolina shouted, her voice cutting through the chaos. She backed away slightly, ready to defend her companions from any further assault. The creature’s eyes burned brighter, now furious and desperate. Tendrils of shadow snapped and lashed outward, trying to engulf everything in darkness once more. But the barrier held firm, shimmering with an unearthly glow.Suddenly, the Keeper’s voice echoed in their minds,

The tremor beneath their feet intensified, a low, thrumming pulse that sent shivers through the group. The dawn’s light cast long shadows over the abandoned warehouse, but the darkness that threatened to rise again was already stirring beneath the surface of the city.Zane clenched his fists, eyes scanning the horizon. “That’s not just residual energy. Something’s waking up. We have to move—now.”Craig grabbed the ancient talisman, feeling a strange warmth radiating from it. “The ritual we performed only delayed it. If we don’t find the source—the core—it’ll come back stronger. We need to find the Heart of Darkness.”Carolina nodded grimly. “The factory was just a node. The real power lies somewhere else. I’ve seen enough shadows to know that. It’s like a web, and we’re at the center of it now.”They hurried toward the city, the streets eerily silent, save for the distant rumble of thunder and the faint hum of unseen energies. The city that once thrived now seemed ghostly, abandoned,

  • Bound To My Alpha Mate    Leading the way

The rain hammered against the windows as we stepped out into the storm-lashed night. The wind tore through the trees, their branches whipping wildly, as if the very earth was protesting the darkness we were about to face. Each of us moved with a grim sense of purpose, knowing that every moment we delayed increased the danger—not just for us, but for everyone who might fall victim to the shadow.Zane led the way, his shoulders squared and eyes sharp. The storm’s chaos seemed to match his intensity as he scanned the streets, already planning our route. “We need to split up,” he said over the howl of the wind. “Cover more ground. Craig, you and I will head for the old library. Carolina, you take the outskirts—see if you can find anything unusual nearby. The rest of us will check the city center. We meet back here at dawn.”Craig hesitated, as if weighing the risks, then nodded. “Agreed. The texts I found mention a place called the ‘Threshold,’ a point where the veil between worlds is thi

  • Bound To My Alpha Mate    Silence

The room fell into a heavy silence once more, each of us lost in our own thoughts. Outside, the wind’s howling seemed to soften just a bit, as if the storm itself was listening, waiting for our next move.I glanced around at the others—Zane’s jaw still clenched, Carolina’s eyes sharp with suspicion, and Craig’s face marked with the weight of secrets finally beginning to surface. We were standing on the edge of something monumental, and I could feel the tremor of fear mingling with a flicker of resolve within myself.Suddenly, Zane broke the silence, voice rough but steady. "If what you’re saying is true, Craig, then we need more than just plans and hope. We need to know what we’re really up against—what kind of enemy we’re fighting. Because if it’s as old and powerful as you say, I want to understand what that means for us."Craig nodded slowly, eyes darkening with a mixture of determination and weariness. "You're right. Knowledge is our strongest weapon. I’ve uncovered some ancient t
