Kaiden’s Point of View

The memory played vividly in my mind, starting with Avery. The moment I brought her home and laid her in my chambers, tending to her wounds, I knew I couldn’t delay. Once she was stable, I left her to rest and made my way to the dungeon.

The rogue had been barely conscious when I arrived, his body slumped against the wall, his shoulders brutally disfigured where his arms had been severed. His blood had pooled beneath him, but his eyes still held a flicker of defiance.

I stepped into the cell, my boots clicking against the stone floor as I approached him. He looked up at me, trying to muster a sneer, but his pain betrayed him.

“Who sent you?” I asked, my tone calm, almost conversational.

The rogue said nothing, his jaw tightening as if to steel himself against what was coming.

I chuckled, low and dark. “It seems like you've forgotten who I am?” I leaned closer, locking eyes with him. “I am the Alpha King. I don’t need to try to get the information out of you. But

  • Bound To The Cursed Alpha King    144~ You Now Have A Wolf?

Avery's Point Of View I could barely breathe. The second I turned away from him, I felt the weight of everything crash into me at once—the ballroom, the stares, him. Julian. What was he even doing here? Of all the people in the world to show up tonight, why did it have to be the one person I never wanted to see again? My feet moved faster now, the sharp click of my heels echoing in the quiet hallway as I left the terrace behind. The wind cooled the sting of emotion on my skin, but my chest still burned. Every step I took, I fought the storm building in my heart. I should be celebrating tonight. I should be standing beside Kaiden, smiling as the world learned of our bond. But no. Julian had to ruin that too. I bit my lower lip to stop it from trembling. He had no right to follow me, no right to speak my name like it still belonged to him. “Avery, please... wait!” His voice chased me down the corridor like a shadow I couldn’t outrun. I didn’t stop. Not until I felt his hand

  • Bound To The Cursed Alpha King    143~ I'm Glad You Rejected Me

Julian’s Point Of ViewThe ballroom buzzed with hushed whispers and heightened murmurs, voices rising and falling like crashing waves, all centered around the sudden, violent outburst of the she-wolf, Maya. But I couldn’t care less. The chaos she created didn’t register in my mind, not even as warriors and guards rushed to subdue her, not even as gasps filled the air and scandal clung to every breath in the room. All I saw… was her.Avery.How on earth is she here?My heart was a battlefield… rage, confusion, longing, all clashing like swords in a war I didn’t even know I’d been drafted into. The longer I watched her from across the hall, standing beside Kaiden like she belonged there, the deeper my hatred for the Alpha King festered. That smug bastard. He knew what he was doing. He had to. This wasn’t just politics. This was personal. Avery Smith… as the Alpha King’s mate? No. No, I refuse to accept that. The scent of her was faint beneath the room’s perfume and sweat, but to me, it

  • Bound To The Cursed Alpha King    142~ She Can't Be His Luna

The grand ballroom glittered with a thousand flickering chandeliers, the walls draped in deep crimson and gold... the colors of power and tradition. The air was thick with the scent of expensive perfumes and the murmur of restless nobles, but none of it mattered to me.I stood near the back, my posture rigid, jaw clenched tight enough to taste blood. If it were up to me, I wouldn’t be here, not tonight, not at this pompous display. But the Alpha King had spoken. Attendance for all Alphas was mandatory. No excuses. And the reason? To announce his Luna. His Luna.I hated those words. My eyes locked on the Alpha King... Kaiden, standing at the head of the room like some god on his throne. His dark hair gleamed under the chandeliers; his sharp features were carved from cold stone. There was a smile playing at the corner of his lips, but I saw nothing kind or warm there. Only the calculating, ruthless ruler who had destroyed my pack, my family, my life.Just you wait, Kaiden. You’ll pay fo

  • Bound To The Cursed Alpha King    141~ I'm Sorry, Lucas

Maya’s Point Of View“And that’s not even the worst of what she’s done.” The words punched the breath out of me. My lungs refused to expand. My fingers turned cold. My vision blurred, then snapped back into focus like a camera adjusting under duress.I stared at Dren, mouth parted, heart pounding so violently I was sure they could all hear it—this uncontrollable, terrified thudding. He wasn’t done. Why wouldn’t he shut up? Why wouldn’t someone stop him?“Baby no...” I whimpered under my breath, though I wasn’t sure who I was speaking to. Dren? Kaiden? The moon goddess herself? My whole body trembled. Not from fear… no, not anymore. From rage. From betrayal. From the bitter, foul taste of panic swelling at the back of my throat.I could feel their eyes on me.Judging. Condemning. Despising.I wanted to scream, wanted to claw Dren’s throat open, shake him until the words stopped spewing from his mouth. But I couldn’t move. I was frozen. Glued to the marble floor as he began to speak aga

  • Bound To The Cursed Alpha King    140~ Dren Is Alive

Maya’s Point Of ViewNo.No, this couldn’t be happening. This couldn’t be happening to me. This was my night. My coronation. My dream. Not hers. Not Avery’s. And now the whole ballroom had gone deathly still, the murmurs building like venom behind fans and raised brows. All eyes… on me.Judging. Disbelieving. Waiting for me to break. I stepped forward, shaking my head violently, as if that alone could erase the words Avery had just uttered.“What do you mean?” I spat, voice rising, too loud, too shaky. “I never went near rogue territory! You’re lying! You’re just trying to pin your faults on me because you have nothing. You have no evidence! No proof!”Avery’s smirk deepened, and something cruel sparked in her eyes. Like she had just baited me into a trap I couldn’t see. “Oh really?” she said smoothly, her voice dripping amusement. “I have no evidence?”She tilted her head. “You sure about that?” A cold chill zipped through me. Wait… what? No, no, no, no, she couldn’t have… She couldn

  • Bound To The Cursed Alpha King    139~ What Were You Doing At Rogue Territory?

Maya’s Point Of View“It’s time to announce who your Queen is.” My heart stuttered. A hush fell over the entire ballroom, thick and electric like a storm on the verge of breaking. The chandeliers above sparkled brighter as if sensing the climax of a moment long-awaited.Beside me, Jenna grabbed my arm with excitement. “Maya, oh my goddess, this is it!” she squealed. “He’s going to call your name! I told you he would,” Tasha added, practically vibrating with glee.I forced a smile, my chest rising and falling rapidly. This was it. My moment. The years of waiting, of presenting myself perfectly. The deliberate appearances at court events. The carefully chosen red dress. The hair. The subtle perfume Kaiden once said he liked…All of it. For this.He was finally going to give me what I deserved. I took a breath and placed a hand lightly on the table, preparing to rise with grace when I heard it. “Welcome… Avery Smith.”I froze.Every hair on my body stood. My spine locked up, and I blinke

  • Bound To The Cursed Alpha King    138~ It's Time To Annouce Who Your Queen Is

Kaiden’s Point Of ViewThe ballroom fell silent the moment I stepped through the arched entrance. Every movement, every hushed conversation, every clink of glass halted. Heads turned in unison, like wolves sensing the presence of their Alpha. The chandeliers above cast a golden glow on the marble floor, and the hum of the string quartet faded beneath the weight of my presence. I didn’t have to speak. I didn’t have to raise a brow. My presence alone demanded reverence. My steps were measured, deliberate, each stride echoing off the high-vaulted ceilings of the grand hall like thunder. The royal guards stationed at each end of the hall straightened as I passed. The nobles bowed their heads respectfully, some with genuine admiration, others with carefully practiced diplomacy. The cloak that trailed behind me shimmered with obsidian silk, fastened with silver chains that draped across my chest like veins of moonlight. I could feel the weight of centuries of legacy stitched into the very f

  • Bound To The Cursed Alpha King    137~ They Wouldn't Dare Miss The Crowning Of Their Queen

Avery’s Point Of ViewThe steam from the bath coiled around me like a soft mist, soothing my skin and easing the last remnants of tension in my body. My hair was damp and fragrant with lilac and moonflower oils, the luxurious scents clinging to my skin like whispers of serenity. I took a moment to breathe — to really breathe.Today was the ball. And tonight, the entire pack would see me… alive. Not the broken girl Kaiden found in the woods. Not the forgotten outcast or the ghost everyone thought had vanished. They would see me.I stepped out of the bath, wrapping myself in a plush white robe just as the door creaked open. “Snowy!” came Laura’s chipper voice. “I hope you’re ready to be transformed into a literal goddess because we’ve got work to do!”She breezed into the room, her strawberry-blonde curls bouncing, a grin tugging at her lips like she was hiding mischief behind it. Her arms were full, brushes, palettes, sprays, little pouches that jingled like fairy bells.“Nervous?” she

  • Bound To The Cursed Alpha King    136~ Something's Wrong Kaiden

Avery’s Point Of ViewI should have been sleeping peacefully. Instead... I dreamt. No… it was a nightmare. In the dream, my wolf was there, just beyond reach, her white coat drenched in shadow. Her eyes were wild, filled with terror… no, with rage. She bared her teeth at me, snarling, her voice echoing through the vast, frozen landscape around us."Stay away from me!"Her words cut deeper than any blade. I reached out, trembling, desperate to touch her, to comfort her, but every step I took pushed her farther away. The ground cracked beneath my feet. Darkness bled from the sky, seeping into everything."Stay away, Avery!""You’ll doom us both!" I tried to scream, but no sound came. Terror gripped me, squeezing my lungs, freezing my blood.I was shivering violently now. I could feel it, even through the haze of sleep, my body convulsing, my teeth chattering. Somewhere far away, I heard a voice… low, rough, urgent."Avery! Avery, wake up!" Kaiden. But I couldn’t reach him. It was like I
