HIS SWEETEST OBSESSION (PART THREE OF THE MAFIA OBSESSION SERIES)
I was stolen. Taken years ago by a ruthless man who wanted my parents dead. Ivan Gambino. Turned out to be a Slovakia Mafia.
I thought that was the most horrible thing that could happen to me until I was sold to a more ruthless man. A flesh peddler. A heartless disgusting scum. A demon on earth by the name of Tymon Mazur. A Polish Mafia.
Now the life I once led as Chloe Skylar Duval is dead and buried. I'm now known as Skylar. The Little Red. Tymon’s most prized possession.
I have no idea if my family's looking for me, or even if they're alive. I'm all alone. I'm trapped in a gilded cage of hell. There's no more hope. Only servitude and pain.
Then I met him. Savio Russo. Son of one of the men I detested.
My first thought was to hate him for the sins of his father, but I just couldn't. Not when he storms into the hellhole I've grown accustomed to. Like a bright light at the end of a tunnel. But he's far from an angel. He's also a ruthless man behind the seductive stares and endearing smile.
Savio saves me from hell and gives me a chance at what was left of my old life. A fresh start with my sisters.
But I'm not the girl I once used to be. I'm a shadow of myself. Even though I'm free it feels like I'm still trapped in that hell beyond salvation.
But he's always there beside me with his soothing words and vows of protection.
Just when I start to believe in a reality I crave. One of true freedom and lack of fear, my nightmares are back. The monsters return. And they want me back to the hell I was saved from.
And I know without a doubt they'll succeed, because the monsters in my story always win.

(SEVEN MONTHS AGO IN MONTENEGRO)
SAVIO RUSSO
It took me everything not to pull out my Heckler & Koch and empty my bullets in Frizz Nowak's head. I'd been tempted for months since I'd been working undercover as one of his contacts as Raffelo. A flesh peddler who takes pleasure in trafficking women for sex.
My jaw ticked at the disgusting thought and the urge to rip off my mask was too tempting. And in this situation, too stupid. It would only put Ronan's sister, Leona, and the thirteen other girls who were abducted. Six from Las Vegas, including Leona, and seven from other countries.
“Almost there, they're exquisite,” Frizz gloated from pride and I could do nothing more but stare at the back of his head, silently promising him a torturous death. As I glanced over at Ronan who was closely beside me, I knew exactly what he was thinking the same as me.
We kept moving straight, moving from one container to another, and I knew every one of them contained women stolen from their lives and were about to be dragged to hell.
My blood boiled hotter and forced down any emotions. We reached another container and Frizz ordered one of his men to open it. Soon, we were staring at several women, sandwiched together inside the container. Some were scantily clothed, others having one form of injury or the other.
I searched through their faces, hoping Leona would be one of them. And there she was, crouched in a corner with her arms around another girl. The other girl looked barely above eighteen. The instant Leona's eyes met mine, they widened, but thankfully her expression remained impassive.
“You were right, Frizz, they are exquisite,” I whistled, falling back into character and hoping I was slaying the role regardless of my simmering rage.
“Make your pick,” He turned his proud eyes full of self-satisfaction to Ronan and me.
I took a moment to pretend I was conflicted before my fingers landed on Leona. I wished I could free them all this instant, but I couldn't. Not until I found out who the bigger bosses running this operation were, and then we would burn all of them to the ground.
“Good choice,” Frizz sent a smile my way, ordering his men to drag her out.
I could feel the heat of Ronan's rage at the surface, and I sent Ronan a warning look.
“No!” Leona screamed, fighting back at the man who was dragging her away from the young girl she had been holding. “I'm not leaving her,”
The next thing that was heard was the sound of Frizz's hand against Leona's cheek. The air turned silent. It grew heavy with a deadly chill. And this time it was almost impossible not to put a bullet through the motherfucker's head. Maybe I would have if we were not interrupted.
“They're here,” One of Frizz's men informed him. “Thomas looks pissed, and he hopes the girls are ready for movements,”
I knew the drill. The women held in the containers were usually moved to what I suspect was their permanent hell. That was all I knew. I had no idea where they were taken or to whom they were taken.
“I'll take the other girl,” Ronan pointed at the girl his sister was fighting for, and then to another young girl. “I like them young and I do enjoy a good threesome,”
Frizz barked out a laugh, giving his men the orders to take the girls out, before turning to us. “Let's call it a night here. It's a pity I couldn't introduce you to Viktor tonight, we'll see how tomorrow goes,”
I nodded, feigning as though I cared. Viktor was the bastard son my father, Salvatore Russo, had with another woman he deemed held more value and importance to our own mother. But that was far from the only reason I hated Viktor. He was the reason Salvatore had given the order to his right-hand man, Harold, to have my brothers and I killed. He was also consigliere to Davano, the Turkish Mafia don who was as annoying as fuck. The only reason Viktor hadn't shown up tonight was because my brother, Lorenzo, and Dimitri had already gotten to him. It was better that way because the fucker would recognize me the second we meet.
“Keep walking,” I muttered, gripping Leona's arm tightly while Ronan handled the other two girls. While I wished I could stay behind and figure out who Thomas was and where the girls were being taken too, we had to take Leona and the two girls to safety first.
We were almost at our car when my eyes took in three figures from a distance. Two were armed men flagging at both sides of a young woman.
My legs instantly force to a stop. My gaze fixed on the woman in the middle. She was wearing a long dress, her light brown hair moving with the slight breeze of the night.
She was beautiful, slim and I found myself staring longer than I should. She must have felt my stare because she tilted her head slowly and met my gaze. Instantly, her deep blue eyes struck me with a sense of deja vu.
I had seen her before. I definitely had. She had an uncommon face, her beauty flawless but there was a certain familiarity in her. She looked almost like Elena Duval.
Then I froze.
Suddenly, hell opened up before me, threatening to swallow me.
No. Fucking. Way.
It was not possible. She couldn't be. This woman was supposed to be dead. I'd searched for her for years. I'd been asked a favor by Dimitri to take up the search for Elena's sisters. Hell, Owen and I were the first to find the remains of her body— her teeth and hair in a massive grave among the other remains of sex slaves.
“Is something wrong?” Ronan grabbed my attention for a second and I realized he had helped the women into the car, waiting for me. “Do you know her?”
“Something like that,” I glanced back at Chloe Skylar Duval, but her gaze was no longer on me. I took out my phone, discreetly taking a picture of her, immediately I forwarded it to my brothers and Dimitri hoping they were together.
““Lorenzo…” I called the instant he answered the god-damned phone.
“Savio, what the fuck…” He started but I cut me off in a rushed whisper.
“Is Dimitri there?” I asked, keeping my voice low.
“You're on fucking speaker, what's going on?” Dimitri responded.
“We got a fucking problem,” I stated, sending another glance at Chloe.
“What about Leona?” Lorenzo asked.
“We got her and two other girls out. Ronan has led them to the SUV now—”
“And you're fucking making a call now? Get your ass out of there,” Lorenzo said.
“Wait,” I heard Dimitri say. “What happened Savio,”
“Except I'm fucking seeing ghosts now, but I just saw her. She isn't dead. She's fucking alive, and she's here,” I rushed, keeping my eyes on her to ensure she wouldn't vanish.
“What the fuck are you talking about—”
“I just sent you a photo,” I voiced. “It's her, isn't it? It's the other Duval, she's alive,” There was an eternity of silence before I heard Dimitri's deep voice.
“This doesn't make sense, is she with the other girls?” Dimitri asked.
“No. It seems she's been in Montenegro for a very long time. She's here to pick up the girls with some men, and take them to their new home,”
Silence filled the air once again. And as the seconds ticked by I knew I couldn't leave this place without her. It had crushed Elena to find out her sister had been dead. And now I found her, the fuck was I letting her out of my sight.
“Savio, whatever you're thinking is too risky,” Dimitri spoke again.
“I can't just leave her here—”
“Like fuck we will,” Dimitri almost growled in frustration. “But now's not the time. We'll get her out, but not now. We need information from Viktor to know what we'll be working on. Take Leona, and you and Ronan should get out of there,”
My grip on my phone tightened. This was risky, I knew it. It would be much better to get the information we need from Viktor first. That way, we'd have an idea of what was going on and who was leading this sex trafficking operation.
That was the logical thing to do, but for some reason, I just couldn't leave her. It was impossible to.
“Fuck. Ronan will take the girls out. But I'm not going anywhere, I can't just leave her here. She has to know Elena has been looking for her for years, and she even thinks she's dead,” I voiced, letting them know my mind was made up.
They knew better when I'd made up my mind, nothing could stop me.
I heard Lorenzo sigh in frustration.
“Don’t lose sight of her, Savio, and stay alive,” Dimitri said right before I disconnected.
I threw the keys to my SUV to Ronan. “Get the girls out of here. I'll keep in touch,”
He caught the keys, nodding. “Don't get yourself killed,”
I rolled my eyes. Besides Dimitri, Dario, and Lorenzo, Ronan and Vito were special to me.
I watched Ronan drive away, before I turned, daring to approach the trio with guarded caution. She didn't look my way, but I could feel her attention on me. She already considered me a threat. Only if she knew I was the last person she should be scared of.
SKYLAR DUVAL I stared at the darkened ceiling, unable to sleep after Elena and the doctor had checked up on me, even though I insisted I was fine.Tymon was dead this time for sure. Ana was safe and so was my family. I just wished I could have helped the other women as well.I didn't know where Savio was at the moment or how long he would be gone. The only thing I was certain of was the discomfort of not having him near. I wanted him. I needed him.I couldn't see myself without Savio. He was my everything. All my happiness and comfort was woven with each of his breaths.I shut my eyes and tried to picture what a future would look like between us. It was beautiful. Happy. And I would give anything to have it.It wasn't until sleep brushed me with a gentle stroke that the bedroom door squeaked. Open, then closed. Then Savio measured footsteps and made their way to the bathroom; the door clicked shut.My stomach warmed as the shower started. The thought of Savio relaxing beneath the wate
SAVIO RUSSOIt had been over twelve hours since Skylar had left, and I was starting to lose my mind. The only thing that had kept me sane so far was the alarm from the facial recognition scan from my phone that kept proving she was still alive. I'd been keeping track of her location through the tracker on the bracelet from the moment Elena discovered she was missing to the boat she had been taken to. We had been tracking her on air, knowing it was leading us directly to the fucker, Tymon, and now her location showed she was being held on a property in the middle of nowhere. It was time to end this fucking war with him.We took the helicopters previously, but now in our SUVs as we drove towards the property. It was barely morning yet so it was still dark as we touched down the short distance from the building where Skylar was being held. And this was the best, they wouldn't see us coming. Everyone was armed to the
After a while, the car came to a stop and I used the opportunity to get out and made my way to the location he had sent. And now that I was waiting in the exact location Tymon had sent, I felt my nerves rising. I wasn't prepared to see the face of the bastard who tortured and abused me for years, but this was the only way to help Ana and the others.Suddenly, a van came to a screeching stop in the street, and men poured out of the vehicle, grabbing me from behind. My heart instantly thundered in my chest, and a terrifying sensation spread over my skin as I was hauled up from the waist and thrown into the van.The van sped away with screeching tires and I struggled to keep my balance as we swerved around a corner. One of the men grabbed me by the back of my hair, and another asshole pulled out an injection from his pocket. I was pinned down on the leather seat, my hands and legs con
SKYLAR DUVALSavio held the door open to the hall and we walked in comfortable silence towards the voices coming from the living area. Everyone was there— Dario, Luca, and Torin at the dining table; Dimitri and Lorenzo had just stepped into the living room from outside; Zoey and the nanny were playing with twins Nico and Kath while Elena and Tiffany were in the kitchen with Greta and Lydia.“It’s about time you two got down here,” Lorenzo jutted his chin towards us as everyone sat for dinner.Once dinner was over, the men left for Dimitri's office, while the nanny, Zoey, Tiffany, and the twins were playing on the sofa.I flicked Elena a glance as I stalked for the glass doors leading outside. She followed behind me until we stood close to each other, staring into the starless sky.I swallowed the adamant pulse in my
SAVIO RUSSOI rolled my shoulders to ease the tension in them while my fingers kept flying over the keyboard.I hadn't slept a wink throughout the night and still couldn't track the fucking bastard. It felt as if everything I'd done in the last few fucking hours was a waste of time.Letting out a frustrated growl, I slammed my fist down on the fucking keyboard. The last time I'd gotten visual on Tymon was in Greece a few hours ago, but after a thorough search of the location he'd been sighted, he fucking ghosted.A knock on the door pulled me out of my thoughts, and the door pulled open. For the first time in weeks, I was not excited at the possibility of seeing Skylar. Not when I didn't have answers for her.I'd been unable to track Tymon down or figure out how they kept finding us wherever we went and I still hadn't f
SKYLAR DUVALI squirmed, pressing my thighs together. If Savio noticed, he didn't react, but his grip on my hip tightened the slightest bit. I put my free hand up against his naked chest and felt his muscles flex beneath my fingertips. His skin was covered with scars, and I began tracing them curiously until l accidentally grazed over his nipple. He groaned into my mouth, jerking slightly, to meet my eyes. "Tell me how you feel,""I'm okay,”"That's not a feeling,”"I'm feeling okay," I said again with more force. "Only a bit overwhelmed,”"Maybe we should stop,”I didn't want to stop. I shook my head. “No, you need to keep going,” I said breathlessly. I couldn't quit here or I may never return. His strong hands reached for the hem of m
