We set off after Linda's mother and I had a little chat.

While I was away, I instructed Fiona to take charge of the kingdom and if something happens to me, she would take over as the Next lycan king.

As for Linda, she would chose whether to stick around or leave the kingdom and continue with her life.

I know she loves her profesion so I did the only thing I thought was good for her, setting her free.

With me gone, i don't think she will be comfortable living with the lycans. Not like my people won't accept her, it's just that staying back would only give her pain.

" We still need you, she needs you. " Leo mindlinked me as we approached the prison where the battle would be held.

I smiled, albeit bitterly

I didn't want this for myself, for my kingdom and most especially for my mate but some things are inevitable.

This battle will only end with my death.

I nodded at him.

Leo looked away. I could see the pain in his eyes yet he remained strong.

" Change of plans. Your mate will t
