Seraphina’s POV

I was tired from all the travelling. Lycan Fabian looked like a man who had money and power, so why didn’t he use flight instead of travelling by road when the journey was so long? I could hardly count how many days we spent on the road, minus all the stops we had to make.

Most of them very unnecessary.

Just when I started to give up hope of us ever arriving at our destination, the car stopped. I peeped at the man beside me and frowned. What was the problem now?

The man stepped outside first, then came round the car to open my side of the door. “We’re here,” he announced without looking at my face. I bit the inside of my cheek as warmth spread all over me.

Now, came my suffering.

Maybe I shouldn’t have been so impatient for us to get here. But I couldn’t bare sitting in the car one minute longer.

Grabbing my bag, I slipped out of the car, my mouth lowering open when I took in the sheer size of his land. Then there was the mansion, which hovered above me, dark, gloomy a

Fabian's POV. But the wind that penetrating the ruins of our once but mighty fortress didn't seem like it. The scent of ash, blood and an old fashioned feeling was present. The war was over, but we were finding it more challenging to achieve peace. Every move I made in the stone corridors was too loud to hear. We found that all the survivors we encountered felt haunted, wracked and judged me. I was not considered a hero by them, but rather as someone who had caused their own demise.Seraphina had remained silent that morning, her silence becoming too much for even a thousand war drums. Her green eyes had a storm she refused to unleash, but her posture was still delicate, as if she were afraid of losing her strength with one move. On the high balcony, she observed the rising of smoke from the outer villages. I didn't disturb her. It wasn't until I had no idea what words would be appropriate to fix this that I was unable to do so. The temperature in my council room was higher than us

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    Fabian's Strategy

Fabian's POV. The icy weather was not just a matter of the air, but also existed in our bones, in the silence of our soldiers and in all the cracks that made up the kingdom. Our hopes for success were quashed if we didn't achieve our objectives. Looking at the fading sigil in the snow, I understood that peace was just a temporary respite. They were watching us. Seraphina felt it. I did too. The type of observation that caused irritation and awakening like a scream in your stomach. What happened next? Despite our victory over them in the battlefield, they were still lurking in shadows. They'd only shifted. As I stood on the ramparts, my breath stayed cold. Our people hurled logs, patched up walls, and incinerated the dead. What happened below? They believed we had the answers.’ The. Despite the possibility that allies could be traitors, it was not an easy task to find solutions. Before it grew, I had to eliminate the decay. My second in command's gaze caught me while I closed my

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    Blood in the Snow.

Seraphina's POV I was gripped by a wind that carried through the barren trees, its coldness so great that it almost bit my bones. Blood soaked the ground below my feet, and the snow turned a deep shade of red, creating traces of the long-standing war on earth. I couldn't breathe. During combat, swords, wolves, and pain collided to produce a violent outburst that could take my breath away. Despite our best efforts, we encountered a gradual decline in the number of supporters.' His closest allies, those who were part of Fabian's team had already perished. The men and women who had supported his cause, were being killed one after the other. Their bodies were scattered throughout the battlefield, in a frigid state. The anger was reverberating inside me, like a fire that could devour anything. My fear was fueled by the belief that my magic would become more powerful as I faced the loss of every life and soul from this world. It swung in my veins, tugging at my very essence, pushing me

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King     A Legacy of Power .

Seraphina's POV I felt the weight of the crown on my head as day went on. It was a powerful buzz that I could feel, alternating between blessings and curses. Thank goodness for it! I was shivering on the balcony, watching the kingdom from the side, when my legacy slowly began to creep in like a thick fog. The land I possessed, now called my kingdom, was still silent. The wind blew through my hair, leaving the fresh scent of an imminent storm. Losing so much had left me as the last hope, the key to everything. . This combination of factors could either save us or bring about our downfall. I had always been a shadow of my legacy. The slender daughter of Alpha Hayes, who was abandoned and raised in the dirt and shame. It seemed as though the blood that was flowing through my veins had made me a unique entity and not just the answer to world war zero.I had just become a different person, and it was the one that could change everything for me. The words "You have not been very quiet" e

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King     The Siege

Seraphina's POV The crashing sound of the imminent conflict rippled through the atmosphere, creating a profound vibration that seemed to rattle the very substance beneath us. Before us, we could see the gates of the Lycan kingdom, which were shattered by previous battles but still impressive. But as I stared at them with fear in my heart, I felt something. What could have happened?... Our only option was to confront the enemy forces, who had already encircled us. The battlefield was no longer a distant object to contemplate. It was here. Now. Now is the time for preparation was gone. I stood beside Fabian, his arm rubbing against mine as we looked out at the gathering of enemy men.? He had a storm-like grey eyed mass on the horizon, his face firm but visibly shaken with fear beneath all that. This was unlike anything Fabian had encountered, having fought in numerous wars and leading warriors into battle. This was so personal. "They're coming," he whispered, his voice being low. I

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    Betrayal 's Edge

Seraphina's POV The night was heavy for us, a dense thick noise that permeated the empty camp. The training ground we had been preparing for was left in shadow by a faint flash of firelight in the distance, which made it difficult to see clearly. The alliances we were creating were my prayer and expectation. Our confidence was capable of enduring the imminent threat of Rylan Thorn and the rogues. As the wind blew and carried me by, I felt a sense of unease. . There was something that we were unable to grasp. I couldn't remember why. I stood beside Fabian, my hand touching his.’ The. I could feel the tension in his muscles, his body unnaturally stiff, and his eyes distant enough that my stomach sat on it for hours, even after hearing nothing but hear nothing. Fabian: What the hell was up with you? I sounded off and forth, barely speaking. He turned towards me, his grey eyes filled with an incomprehensible feeling. "Nothing." I couldn't put it into words. Just tired.”. My knowledg
