Seraphina’s POV

I was married!

Although hours had passed since I was forcibly joined to my husband, I still found it very had to believe. The past few hours were like a dream an it was as if I would suddenly wake up just to realize it had all been a very long, albeit realistic dream.

Lycan Fabian killed Richie!

Even though he had never been good to me and chose my sister over me, I still wouldn’t have wished him death. He was my mate! Why did I not feel it in our bond the minute he lost his life?

Was our bond that weak?

I knew that wasn’t the questions I should be asking, but I couldn’t bring myself to ask the real questions.

Who was Lycan Fabian and why did my father not move a muscle when he killed his beloved son? I shivered as I recalled the life slowly ebbing away from my step-brother’s eyes. Was Lycan Fabian that powerful that even my father could not fight for his position or his son’s life?

I knew he hated me and would never move a finger to protect me, but my step-brother was his pride and he did nothing while his life was being taken from him.

Still occupied with my thoughts, I did not realize our car had stopped until Lycan Fabian’s voice rang in my ear.

“Do you want me to carry you?”

Startled, I almost jumped. Glancing around, I saw that we were miles away from Moon-ridge. Where was this place?

A growl echoed close to my ear and my eyes snapped to his outstretched hand. I swallowed. Before I could make the choice, he caught my arm and pulled me out of the car.

“Where are you taking me?” I queried, finally finding the nerves to fight for my life. If he was going to kill me, I wasn’t going to o down without a fight, I told myself. “Are you going to kill me?”

He stopped in his tracks, turning around to look at me like I just asked the most stupid question of the century. “Kill you?” he smirked, leaning closer than I would like. Despite myself, my heart skipped a beat and mouth dried.

“Goddess, no. what I have in mind for you, my dear bride is much better and ten times worse than what your brother got. Death would be a sweet relief by the time I begin.”

My eyes widened and a shudder ran down my spine.

Ignoring me, he began dragging me inside the house, not stopping till we were in front of a door. Kicking the door open, he shoved me inside. The bedroom was lavish and magnificent. If I wasn’t in this situation, I would have stopped to admire it.

But now, I didn’t have the time. All I could think about was what my fate was in the hands of a monster like this –

“On your feet!” he ordered.

I swallowed, scrambling to my feet before – goddess knows what went through the head of a man like him. Was he going to beat me?

He began unbuttoning his shirt and my heart started an erratic pound in my chest. Was he thinking of doing what I thought he was thinking of doing?

My eyes widened.

Oh goddess. I took a step back, trying to run for the door but I didn’t take two steps before his hand reached out and grabbed my wrist, pulling me back to him.

“Do you know what your father did to my mother?” he growled, his eyes a terrifying shade of grey that was both cold and inviting. I almost slapped myself at that last thought. What was I thinking?

He frowned, “When your father betrayed my family, he brought my mother to this room and forced himself on her.”

What? My father did what?

I opened my mouth to deny the allegation, to say that my father would never do something like that but did I really know my father? All my life, I only saw him from afar even though I lived in the same world as him.

All the stories I knew of him ere what I heard from people’s accounts.

I had no idea who the man they called my father was, so how could I even think of defending his image?

He smiled when he saw that I had nothing to say.

“You married me,” I said slowly. I wasn’t dumb, I knew what this marriage was, but he could easily have taken me as a slave too. He still would have owned me and reserved every right to do whatever he pleased with me.

Why tie himself to me?

It made no sense.

“Because I want t have a lifetime of making you suffer. As my bride, no one dares to come to your aid. No one dares interfere with how your husband treats you. You are mine!”

His eyes blazed and for a minute, I thought it looked black.

He pushed me away, glaring at me as if the mere sight of me disgusted him. I shrunk into myself.

“Get on the bed!” he snapped. “Let’s consummate our marriage. Your parents are downstairs and they will hear how I am fucking Haynes precious, spoiled daughter.”

The blood drained from my face.

No, no, no, no… please. I begged but couldn’t bring myself to say the words out loud. It was as though my mouth was sewn shut. My body was frozen in place and everything went by in a blur.

My heart beat was wild and my throat went dry. I took a frightened step back and a growl resonated from his chest. His eyes glowed fury, rage and vengeance.

Was this really my fate? This couldn’t be what the goddess planned for me. why did she make me to have such ill-fated luck?

“What?’ he asked. “I am beneath you? Am I not good enough for your precious body?”

He laughed, as if the joke was too funny.

“Everything that I went through because of your father, you will pay for it two folds. I told you before and I wasn’t joking. Death will be a sweet relief when it eventually comes.”

With one move, his big hands ripped my dress away, exposing my naked body. Twice in a week that I was being exposed like this, for goddess sake, why?

I threw my arms around myself to cover what little I could, but what use was it? Shame and embarrassment heated my face and body and I was sure I was as red as tomato.

He unbuckled his belt, allowing his pants drop to the ground. He stepped out of it fluidly, keeping his eyes trained on me.

“On your knees,” he growled.

My body obeyed before I even thought of defying him. Tears stained my cheek as humiliation burned through me.

“Look up at me!”

I did as I was told, flinching when I saw that he was now standing fully naked in front of me, his shaft right in front of my eyes. I looked away immediately, heat flooding to my face.

He growled, clearly displeased. “Look. Up. At. Me!”

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    The Final Stand.

Seraphina 's POV.Silence in the war room weighed heavily on me. I saw Fabian standing next to me, with a worried expression on his face and dark eyes. We received immediate and significant information about an enemy that was more dangerous than we had encountered before. It seemed like a grave and persistent threat. I hesitated. "Who am I thinking of?" I quipped, half-heartedly. Everything in my mind was shouting, "We should have seen that now before this. What happened? We need to uncover their identity,' Fabian replied with a raspy tone. "They have been playing games for us since they came on, but who knows?". I nodded and felt the familiar sensation of betrayal in my gut.. It was a fragile moment and we had made it through, but it felt like the weight of my bones would not hold up. How could we have come up with this sizable scheme? There was a feeling of being under the shadows. Following days of intense tension and growing suspicion.... All those who were part of our kingdom

Seraphina’s POVThe moon was glowing bright and golden above us, it seems it softening the sharp edges of the night like it was trying to comfort me. But it didn’t. I couldn’t feel comfort and not with this weight pressing down on my chest. It had been there for days, growing heavier. The air was heavily dense and still, it was hard to breathe as it was choking , like the whole earth paused itself so tight and was dearly waiting for something we couldn’t name. And the night and it was too quiet. But I could feel something apart from that silence, something heavy. Fear. though it wasn’t loud, even at that it was there and feels like it was pressing in, like the air itself knew what was coming. I felt it in as my heart was beating too fast in my bones, even in the way Fabian’s hand squeezed mine a little fingers tight, like he felt it too.We were standing at the balcony again. Fabian always managed to pull me out here, away from the war room and away from all the noise and chaos. I th

  • Bound To The Ruthless Lycan King    A Forever Bond.

Seraphina's POV. The morning was just setting though it was quiet. The sky was painted in soft shades of purple and gold, more beautiful than I’d seen in a long time. The kingdom was calm and resting at last. Still, all I could feel was the heaviness of what it had cost us the battles, the losses and the sacrifices we made to bring us here. I knew peace like this never really lasted. It seems so fragile like something you had to hold tight before it slipped away.Peace, as I had learned, was only temporary and needed to be held with both hands. It could never be taken for granted. I stood by the balcony, though my thoughts were drifting over the land. Fabian had always been the anchor I relied on, the sole one that has been constant in this ever-changing world. We had finally united the packs of Lycan and Moonridge and transformed the kingdom much more powerful than we had ever dreamed. However, there was a feeling of uncertainty within me. The feeling of fragile peace persisted des

Seraphina’s POVThe peace we had actually fought for and bled for now seems like an elusive dream, one I feared was beginning to slip away through our fingers. I stood on the balcony, as my eyes glanced over the kingdom below as the morning sun stretched its first light across the land. Under Fabian’s and my rule, the Lycan and Moonridge packs had been transformed, and for the first time, I could feel the stability beneath my feet, it felt like a fragile but it is real stability.Although I could hardly get rid with the uneasy feeling within me. We had actually fought and bled so hard for peace to be possible, but it still felt fragile, like it could fall apart at any second. The kingdom might look calm, but I knew better, peace never lasts.
