Chapter 1

Author's POV

"Doctor, how is my brother?" Elena asked the doctor.

"His condition is getting worse" The doctor said and Elena's eyes went watery.

"But he was fine yesterday. What happened to my brother?" Elena asked the doctor.

"Because of the accident your brother's brain damaged badly. We need to operate on him as soon as possible otherwise we will loss him" The doctor said to her professionally but little he had known his word has broken her heart.

"P..pl..please operate on him. What you are waiting for? Please save my brother" Elena requested him joining her hands while tears rolled down on her cheeks.

"Ms. Carson I can understand your emotion but we are bound by hospital rules. We need to deposit 10,00,000. Only after this we can operate on your brother. Try to arrange this amount or it will be late" The doctor said.

"10,00,000" Elena whispered while a fat tear rolled down on her right cheek.

Elena stood up and left the doctor cabin. Her shaking legs lead her towards her brother's room.

When she reached there, Elena looked inside through the glass window. She saw her little brother laid on bed like being lifeless. Multiple machines around him.

Elena opened the door and entered the door. She went towards the bed and sat on chair.

Elena took his weak hand on her and kissed his palm. Tears rolled down on his hand.

"Sis, is very bad. Sis, always failed on you. Your sis is very bad Ace" Elena said in her broken tone while a painful past came in front of her..

Six Years Back

Fifteen years old Elena and five years old Ace, they both were sitting in their living room.

Their parents went nearby market to buy gifts and food for their children.

Elena and Ace were watching television.

"Sis, water" Ace spoke up sweetly.

"You want water baby?" Elena asked and Ace nodded his head.

"Sit here baby. I am going to bring water for you" Elena said and left from there.

Little Ace took the television remote and starts changing channels. When he saw a market was burning in a news.

"Sis, fire" Ace shouted.

Elena entered the room immediately and handover him the water glass and looked at the television.

Her little body starts shaking when she saw the news.

She saw the market was burning and it was the same market her parents went to buy their gifts and food.

Elena picked up Ace in her arms and ran outside.

When she came near the market she was the shop was burning heavily. Fire service was trying to control the fire but it was already too late.

"Sis, why we are here?" Ace asked in his baby voice. He got scared watching the fire. He wrapped his little arms around her neck and hide his face in her neck.

"Don't get scared baby. I am here" Elena said in her broken tone and looked around.

After an hour the fire service able to control fire. Then they started taking out several dead bodies from the shop.

Elena looked around to find her parents when her eyes fell on two familiar bodies.

Their body were almost burnt. The the fire service team put the bodies on ground Elena ran towards them.

Ace looked down at his parents and shouted in fear watching their brunt faces.

Ace hugged Elena tightly and hide his face in her chest.

Elena was silent but her eyes were begging her parents to woke up.

Eleven touched their bodies with her shaking hand.

"M..mom dad" Elena whispered but they were silent. Her dad didn't smile at her this time. Her mom didn't reply her this time.

"Woke up. Please woke up" Eleven cried out while shaking their bodies.

Ace looked at his sister being confused. He didn't understand why his sister was crying and calling them mom dad?

A doctor sat near the bodies to check their pulse.

Elena looked hopefully at the doctor.

The doctor looked at the little girl and shook his head as no.

Elena cried out loudly. She can't believes her parents are no more. She can't believes they will never open their eyes.

She can't believes they will never come back. She can't believes they are orphans now.

After their dead, Elena was so broken. Her heart used to cry out every time when Ace asked about their parents.

When their uncle came in the picture. He took Elena and Ace at his home. Not because he loves his brother's children because his brother left a nice amount of money on their name. Being their guardian he took all money from them.

For a year they behaved so nicely with them but when the saving got finished they show their real faces to them.

Her Aunty made Elena her maid. She started abusing Elena physically and mentally. But Elena was silent. She used to bear every pain silently because she had no place to go with her brother.

Elena started working as a waiter. She used to work after her school. But her uncle and aunty were went blind in money.

They started abusing the little Ace when the Elena not around.

One day Elena took leave from her work place and came back home earlier than she used to come.

When she entered the home her heart broke into multiple pieces when she saw her little six years brother cleaning the floor while crying hard.

Elena ran towards him and took him in her arms.

Ace hugged his sister for safety. Elena saw a brunt mark on Ace's hand.

When Elena questioned him about it Ace explained they didn't give him lunch. Unable to control his hunger Ace took a biscuit to eat when their aunty saw this and put hot rod ob his hand.

Ace also told her they often starved him. They always made him do many works when she went outside and threatened him if he reveal this to his sister they will kill him.

Elena's felt like she failed as a sister. That night she cried her heart out. Ace  fell asleep on her lap.

Elena kept crying whole night and decided that they will leave from here.

After that night Elena left the home also her dream to become a doctor.

She started doing multiple jobs as at homes and hotel.

She went back to her parents home and then she started struggling to survive in this cruel world.

After four years Elena got a decent job at a school as music teacher.

Ace starts going to school. They were not rich but leading a happy life but again black shadow fell upon them.

One day Ace was coming back from school when a rich drunken woman hit him and left from there without caring about the little boy.

Some people admitted him at hospital.

Their happy world broke down again when the doctor said Ace went in comma.

End Flashback

"Sis, is sorry Ace. She couldn't able to save you from the accident. But don't worry I will save this time. I will not fail this time. You have to live. I will arrange this money even I have to sacrifice my life" Elena kissed his for last time and left the room.
