Chapter 43: The Fight

"Are you done spending time with the tenant downstairs?" Carden angrily asked when the woman entered the room.

It was almost ten pm, and she should be out by six pm. That alone made Carden as pissed as he is right now.

Dalmi sighed and act as if she didn't hear anything. The noisy roads of Manila drained all her energy that she didn't have time to argue about anything right now.

She wanted to take a rest. However, she still thinks walking past him without even talking for a second might make him more annoyed, so with small, lazy footsteps, he went towards him and sat beside him.

Carden couldn't take his eyes off his wife. He could feel anger surging up in him when he never sees a glint of response in her face.

He was expecting her to deny it, but the woman only took a deep breath and lazily unlocked the straps of her shoes.

With a blank expression plastered on her face, Dalmi glanced at her. "Can you give me some water?" she said.
