The bond cracked open in me like a fault line.

I fought the urge to reach for him. Every muscle in my body screamed to move, to touch, to scent-mark, to kneel and press my forehead to his stomach in ancient submission. But I didn’t. Not yet.

He was looking at me, eyes wide, lips parted, as if he too had been dropped into a dream he couldn’t wake from.

And gods..... he was beautiful.

But it wasn’t just his beauty. It was his presence. His truth. The kind that makes you want to fall to your knees and beg the universe for another chance to be whole.

I had thought I was past this.

Past believing in fate, or mercy, or miracles.

But then he stepped into the cleansing ground

And my world began again.

He stood before me now.

Closer than I ever dreamed he’d be. Close enough that I could hear the way his breath hitched, see the pulse fluttering at the base of his throat. His scent was everywhere woven into the air, clinging to my skin, settling into my lungs like it belonged there.

  • Bound by the moon   Stay

CAELThe shadows closed in before I could even run. Faces blurred, voices sharp.“What is this thing doing here?” one sneered, though their mouth stretched too wide, teeth glinting.“Maybe he thinks this place belongs to his kind,” another hissed.Hands like iron clamped me down. No matter how hard I struggled, my limbs were useless, heavy, as if sunk in water. Laughter echoed, shrill and endless, circling me. Kicks and blows rained down, yet I couldn’t tell if they were striking flesh or if the ground itself was breaking apart beneath me.I prayed to wake, but then he appeared, his silhouette glowing against the dark. For a heartbeat, I thought he would reach for me. Relief rose in my chest… until he smiled. Not kind, not gentle, cruel. He stepped forward, and with him, the pain grew sharper. There is nothing worse than watching the one you crave hope from become the one to wound you. His eyes, colder than the others, cut deeper than their fists.I tried to call out, but no sound lef

  • Bound by the moon   my truth

"I was made for you," I said. And I meant it, with every breath, every trembling bone, every echo of longing that had lived in my body since before I even knew what it meant to be his.I said it in submission, not as surrender to power, but as offering. As devotion. As truth.I wasn’t kneeling for a king.I was offering myself to my Alpha. The one the moon carved from stardust and stormlight just for me.His breath caught, just for a moment, but I felt the shift in him. The way his soul recognized the shape of mine. His hands cradled my face like I was something sacred, something breakable in the best way. Like he’d waited lifetimes to be gentle with something soft. His scent wrapped around me like a cloak, warm, spiced, deeply grounding, and I leaned into it, letting it soak into my skin, into my bones. His lips brushed my temple, then my neck, pausing over the place where my bond mark would bloom.I tilted my head back.Willing. Ready. His.Time didn’t exist in that moment. Only bre

  • Bound by the moon   The wait

THORNE I’ve stood on countless battlegrounds, I have heard the roar of dying kings, felt the earth split beneath my claws in war but nothing stirs the wild in me like this place. We got to the Cleansing Ground, a place hidden beyond the northern ridge where moonlight never falters, this sacred glade has seen more truth than any throne I’ve ever sat on. Only Lunas and Alphas before their coronations are meant to enter here, a place hidden away from the rest of the pack. I remember this place from my youth, long before age hardened my heart and the weight of the crown pressed down on my instincts. But tonight, in the hush of sacred ground, I feel something ancient stir within me. However, only the Luna during their crowning and mating ritual come here barefoot, bare-souled, their scent unmasked by the perfumes of the world and the pheromone suppressants. It’s where they come to shed what no longer serves them, to be reborn in the eyes of the goddess. I shouldn’t be here. Since

  • Bound by the moon   Please stay

So in general I am both a blessing and a curse to my mate is what you have said. "Yes that is what your father was against when he tried to flee. And it's the same reason your powers where locked away" At this point there is nothing to think about the reason for my strenght and gifts being locked away is only to protect me and put others at risk so what is there need. In a way Lunarava has been in peril because of me and the only way I could help is by helping them take the famine away. "When can we start the process" I asked her seeing no reason to delay any further this has been going on long enough. "It's the full moon tonight so we can start today and you can seal your bond at the peak of the full moon." "Can I speak with you sweetheart" Thorne asked "Yeah sure" "I'll leave you two for now while I send someone to get your rooms ready" Siora Sains as the stood up to give us some privacy. "Cael I want you to know that you don't have to force yourself and it's not y

  • Bound by the moon   MOON HEART

CAELThe journey to moon heart Grove was a quite ride. Thorne sat with me never attempting to touch me, I could see his struggle evidently he has been struggling since the night before. At each interval I woke from my dreamless slumber I would hear him grunt and groan trying to suppress his urge. The fact that he fought with his innate desire to mark his mate made some of the walls I built crumble a bit. We got to the end of the road where cars could take us. "Sweetheart we have to walk down the path" "It's okay, I can walk" We walked down the narrow path. The road twisted like a forgotten whisper through the forest, narrow and overgrown, as if nature herself tried to hide it from unworthy eyes. Moss crept along the cobbled stones, softening each step with damp silence, while gnarled trees arched overhead, their limbs tangled like ancient fingers weaving secrets into the canopy. Shafts of pale light filtered through the leaves, catching on silver mist that clung low to t
