First Person’s PerspectiveElenaYesterday was fun.It was simple, but it made me happy. Me and Salvatore had gone down to the river. Just the two of us. The sun was warm, and the water was cold. He chased me in the shallow end, splashing water everywhere like a big child. I screamed and laughed so hard that my stomach hurt.At some point, he picked me up and dropped me into the water. I came out coughing and laughing at the same time.“Not fair!” I had shouted. He just grinned and said, “You were moving too slow.”We sat on a big rock after that. My wet hair stuck to my skin. He brushed it away gently and kissed my forehead.“Sometimes I wish we could stay here forever,” I told him.“I know,” he replied, holding my hand. “But the world won’t let us.”It was peaceful. Just for a moment, we forgot about the problems in the pack. About the enemies. About everything. Now, this morning, we were sitting at the breakfast table. Just me and him. He made pancakes. Burnt the first two. I tease
Third Person’s Perspective - LimitedAresThe night was quiet, but Ares felt nothing close to peace. He stood by the open window of his cabin, looking out into the dark forest. The wind blew hard, but the fire inside him was hotter. Something didn’t feel right. His chest had been tight all evening. His instincts were screaming. He turned when he heard footsteps. It was one of his men. A trusted one. A wolf named Malvin.Malvin looked nervous. He stood by the door, breathing hard like he had run all the way there.Ares narrowed his eyes. “Speak.”Malvin stepped forward. “It’s Ron,” he said. “He did it.”Ares’ jaw clenched. “Did what?”“He went after her. The girl, Elena.”Ares walked forward fast. “What do you mean he went after her?”“He used one of the plans. The second one. He set it in motion tonight. I heard from one of the guards who helped him. He didn’t wait for your signal.”Ares pushed the chair beside him, and it crashed into the wall. “Is he crazy?! The trap wasn’t ready!”
Third Person PerspectiveRon was not the same man anymore. He paced in the dark room like a wild animal. His hands were bloody,he had punched a mirror earlier. Pieces of glass were still stuck in his knuckles. His eyes were red from lack of sleep and filled with rage.“She thinks she can take what’s mine,” he whispered to himself. “She thinks she’s safe.”He grabbed a bottle of liquor and threw it across the room. It shattered against the wall.“If Salvatore thinks he can steal my mate, then I’ll do the same. I’ll rip his whole world apart.”His voice was cold. Controlled. But his mind was spinning. He remembered Elena’s face. The way she stood in front of him, fearless. Like he was nothing. Like she wasn’t afraid anymore.“I’ll make sure she doesn’t live to see the next day,” he muttered. “I swear it.”His hatred had doubled. No, tripled. He hated Salvatore for stealing Percy. He hated Elena for standing against him. And he hated Percy most of all,for making him look weak.Ron walked
ElenaI woke up early. The sun was still rising, soft light coming through the window. Salvatore was still asleep beside me, his arm around my waist. His face looked peaceful, even though his lip was still a little swollen from yesterday’s fight and you know…ahem! ActionI slowly got out of bed, trying not to wake him.I had someone to check on.I walked down the hall and stopped at the guest room door. I knocked softly. There was no answer.I opened it gently.Percy was sitting on the bed, knees pulled to her chest. She was wearing one of my nightgowns. Her eyes were open, but she didn’t look at me.“Hey,” I said, stepping in. “Did you sleep at all?”She looked at me, her face tired. “A little.”I came to sit beside her on the bed.“I wanted to check on you.”Percy stared at the floor. “Is Salvatore okay?”“He’s fine. A few bruises, nothing serious.”She shook her head slowly. “He got hurt because of me.”I sighed. “Don’t say that. He got hurt because Ron is a monster, not because of
Third Person’s Perspective"Alright Grandma Lola, I'll make sure to drop by and check on your grandson" Salvatore said to the old woman"Okay, drive safely on your way, Alpha" she replied and he kissed the back of her palm before she turned and walked away"Take care of yourself" she said as she moved to her car and the driver pulled the door open"I will" he replied and waved at her, it seemed like he was somewhat eager that she was leaving"Hhh! Now I can have the time to start my paper work, I have plenty of them" he said as soon as she was driven awayAttending to the old people in the pack was one hectic job he didn’t like muchNot because he hated the old people, but the fact that required very special and close attention with a drum or rather, drums of patienceOn his way to his study, he called on Elena, but got no response"And where the hell is she?" He complained as he took the hallway leading to their bedroomHe got to the door, and knocked, but got no response again, afte
First Person’s PerspectiveElenaI opened the door to one of the guest rooms on the second floor of the mansion.“This one is yours now,” I said, turning to look at Percy. She stood in the hallway, looking unsure, like she didn’t know if she should come inside.“Are you sure?” she asked softly. “I can stay somewhere else. I don’t want to cause more trouble.”I stepped aside and waved her in. “You’re not causing trouble. You’re safe here.”Percy walked into the room slowly. She looked around at the clean bed, the large windows, and the soft carpet. She touched the curtain like she hadn’t seen one in years.“I don’t deserve this,” she whispered.I stood beside her. “You deserve to breathe. To rest. That’s all this is.”Percy turned to me. Her eyes were red but dry now. “Thank you, Elena.”I gave her a small smile. “You’re welcome.”We stood there for a moment. It was quiet.“I’ll let you settle in,” I said and began to turn around.Just as I was about to close the door behind me, I hear
