Chapter 85

Elli sat quietly on the couch as she read through the statement that the PR team had prepared for them. It has been three hours since SJ told her what they need to do for now and she has finally informed him that she’s ready.

She changed into an off-white crepe, vest with a wrap silhouette and gold buttons at the shoulders. She also put on a simple strappy sandal and wore the jewelry her mother gave. She tied her hair into a half ponytail and applied light make-up.

“You’re beautiful as always,” SJ admired with a smile. He buttoned his polo shirt except for the top two and tucked them neatly in his pants. He put on his coat and Elli immediately straighten it out. “Do you know that I had envision you doing this to me?”

Elli smiled up at him.

“Thank you for telling me,” She answered as she straightened his collar. “Next time, I’ll do your tie as well when this is all over.”
