Elliot looked up from his desk late that night when he heard the door to his study opened. He saw Archibald and Ronald coming in and watch them occupy the two chairs in front of his desk.
“I just got word that SJ and Elli came back to the city a few minutes ago,” Ronald started calmly. He remained silent for a while before speaking again. “They’re staying at SJ’s residence.”
“Is that the reason why you, two are here?” Elliot inquired calmly. He leaned back on his chair and looked at them calmly. “What do you want to talk about? Are you here to convince me to drop the case against Jackson Kincaid?”
“In a way, yes,” Archibald answered. “You know that he’s never a part of that crime.”
“Yes,” Elliot stated calmly. “But, he knew where Alessandra and Elli were.”

Elli moved quietly around SJ’s house a few hours after she had arrived from Kincaid Tower, bringing along her things. She sat on the chair at the terrace and stared blankly at the garden for a long while.
