Lucien rushed into the vip ward, Jamie lay pale and unconscious. He held back his emotion and calmed his raging beast

First thing first

Jamie's health was his priorities

Sitting on the visitor couch, his gaze never left Jamie's fragile figure and the foetus scan pictures he held dearly.

Immediately he noticed the sign of waking up, he walked towards Jamie, holding his hand affectionately but his gaze was chilling

Their relationship was getting dangerous but no one knows how long he had waited for Jamie to be born and become his mate.

Jamie fluttered his eyelashes, adjusting to the unfamiliar room, recognizing that he was in the hospital, he looked around to see the unfamiliar but familiar Lucien

Lucien's aura was dark and heavy, his obsidian thorn pheromones were almost going berserk, his expression unreadable but his whole demeanor completely exposed that he is angry, worried and guilty.

Jamie lowered his gaze, he was guilty, he knew he acted recklessly but he simply didn't want Lucien to misunderstand. Misunderstanding leads to distrust and that's the beginning to ruining a relationship,”

" I'm sorry, I …..I ..," Jamie's words fluttered and he sighed.

“That penknife was yours, the fingerprint is yours, I didn't spoil your plan but putting your life and the baby's life in danger is wrong and vicious,” Lucien's cold voice rang out.

Jamie shivered

“I'm sorry, I don't want you to misunderstand, I…, I won't act recklessly again,” Jamie accepted and apologized.

Lucien sighed, he looked at Jamie's guilty and pitiful state and lost control

Pulling out his mask, he raised Jamie's face and kissed his lips, releasing his anger and frustration. Jamie gripped Lucien cloth for support and tugged when he wasn't breathing

Lucien ignored the little reminder and dived deeper

Jamie knew this was a punishment in form of a kiss, it wasn't gentle or passionate but aggressive and possessive, he could feel something else, ‘vulnerability’

Lucien let go after successfully tasting the metallic taste of blood to his fill

Jamie gasped for air, his lips swollen and biting.

Lucien looked at his handwork and smiled satisfied

Jamie couldn't bring himself to hate or get angry, he was so satisfied and relieved that Lucien wasn't angry and his aura had soften

Immediately, Jamie heard footsteps walking towards their direction.

He picked up the mask and clumsily covered Lucien's face

Lucien smiled in understanding, Jamie was overprotective with his face and body

Jamie blushed when he noticed his sudden action but it couldn't be help, “this guy is mine”

Felix walked towards Adam, his expression unreadable but confidently

Adam stared at Felix and smirked

“Wanna still play with me?" Adam asked, just like a flash, his hand held Felix neck, not tight but strong

Felix shivered and looked at the completely unfamiliar Adam, he gaze in that deep bottomless eyes and asked

“Why did you have to eat the heart? Do it make you stronger and powerful," Felix asked concerned while looking down at the lifeless corpse

“Aaaaaa haa haa," Adam laughed dangerously and hopeless, looking straight at this foolish or ignorant being in his mercy

“Do you wanna end up like that?" Adam's cold voice rang out

Jamie retracted his gaze from the corpse and to him

" Do you dare hurt me?” Felix provoked, the incident shake him but not his resolution, determination or mindset

The incident excites him, Felix loves indulging in anything dangerous.

" Being reckless, huh!" Adam asked and threw Felix to the ground making sure he crushed a bone before walking away

He couldn't hurt Felix so it's of no use, he needs more prey, his monstrous nature is clouding his sense of reasoning so letting this clown live will be worth it for the meantime

Felix winced in pain but didn't back down

“You know I don't mind giving you my body and blood to sort your estrus and craving but my heart is off limits for devouring,” Felix muttered seeing clearly through the pain Adam tries to hide with his cold and scary facade, Adam gave him a murderous and unfriendly look before beckoning on Silvester

“Take him home," he ordered then leaped away from the high building window

Felix mouth were wide open

“Wow, I wish I've super powers like him," he stated

“Sir Evans, please I'll be your chauffeur," Silvester reported

Felix stared at Silvester for a long time and gave up, he had seen guards like him, always tight lipped.

He tried standing up and bent instantly, his face distorted as he frowned in pain. A vampire strength wasn't to be underestimated, though Adam pushed lightly but he ended up breaking Felix bone

“Sir Evans should try to avoid Sire Adam, he isn't someone to play with or be around with, you're just like a lamb walking into the den of wild lions,”Silvester warned and aided Felix

Felix wasn't interested in those advices, he was suffering from a deep pain

“Sir Evan, I'll take you to the hospital," Silvester stated starting the car engine

“No, I want to go home," Felix refused, he caused this and he will nurse the pain

Silvester stared at him but said nothing, he drove the car away

Adam leaped away, he witnessed their whole interaction

“Still interested in enduring all these, he is your mate for crying out loud, just accept it and he'll help you alleviate your sufferings or are you still mourning Nora?, Lucien have moved on from aurora so you should,” Collins voice echoed, smirking as he enjoyed Adam misfortune.

Adam ignored Collins who frowned in annoyance

“Since you're gonna reject him, I'll approach him, I heard he like anything that's attractive and handsome," Collins shouted and leaped away but he was easily tackled by Adam who gave him a heavy blow that dislocated his jaw before disappearing leaving mist as his remnants

Collins spat out blood, his eye orbs turned into slits and he smirked playfully but hideously

“Soon or later," Collins murmured.
