Kieran's POV:

Yes, she was right. Maybe I should start looking at the brighter side of the picture but I was too messed up to look at this.

I looked at her.

“You’re the only one left, Sera. Everyone else is gone. Noah… Leander… I don’t even know who I can trust anymore.”

She stepped closer, eyes steady. “You can trust me.”

“Why?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. “Why are you still here?”
