“So Kai’s position is called a Pakhan, and Konstantin is his Brigadier or second in command?” I asked Viktor, who was currently busy explaining how the hierarchy worked in the Bratva. He nods.

“Yes, you’re getting the hang of it. We don’t work according to the entire structure since we’re werewolves, and Kai basically runs legitimate businesses. He refuses to touch drugs, which is something a normal mafia boss would be itching to get their hands into.” He explains as we sit in the powder room area that overlooks Central Park.

It’s pretty exciting learning about a different mafia family, and from what Viktor has told me, there is a lot more to it than your average Italian mafia. There’s also much more honour amongst the Volkov family, something I am genuinely not used to.

Viktor looks at his wristwatch and sighs. “It’s seven, and I think you’ve learned enough for today, little wolf.” He says and stretches out on the couch. I s
