Sam sat in the window seat staring at the sun sink slowly into the city skyline. A few snowflakes fell slowly to the street below. She always thought she’d hate big cities but since she moved to Indianapolis she found she loved it. It was exactly what she needed. A fresh start or close as she could get to one. David was never very far from her mind. She had thought about calling him several times. Sam even dialed his number a few times but quickly hung up. She was just too ashamed of herself. He probably had already moved on and didn’t want to hear from or see her. It was selfish, but Sam didn’t think she could stomach that kind of rejection from him.
