LOGINMelissa's POV
Alpha Magus acted strangely as he talked, not like the normal
His son didn't utter any word, although I wasn't looking at him, and I didn't even know what he was up to at that moment, but I knew he was silent.
“Caius”
I muttered silently as my head was buried to the ground, I bit my lower lips.
“Caius, that's his name”
I muttered silently again as I lifted my head slowly from the ground
This was the first time I was hearing his name, we never introduced ourselves that night. We obviously met that night for fun per say and there was no way we thought we were going to see each other again.
“She is Princess Melissa Thornhart, the daughter of Alpha Lawrence the leader of the Eclipse Pack of the North” Alpha Magnus voice roared out loud like a lion.
At this point, he was standing close to the door, But as soon as he was done talking, he walked closer to where I sat and stood just beside his son Caius.
“Princess Melissa?”
Caius asked in disbelief as his voice rose to a scream.
He stared at his father with his eyes opened widely before staring back at me who sat just opposite him. It was clear that he must be shocked of my identity.
He probably couldn't believe his eyes that a princess of the Eclipse Pack of The North would stoop so low to have a one-night stand just that easily. He definitely would have heard how high and mighty my father was and how he had spoiled me with things.
My eyes met with that of Caius and for a moment, my heart pounded faster not like the usual, it was actually something different, I could feel it, it was nothing like the ordinary, I tried to figure out exactly just happened but I couldn't.
"Yes, he felt it too, I sensed it," I thought as my eyes widened, immediately he looked away just like his heart melted away.
I just noticed, he still didn't say a word. His father still standing beside me
“He is still shocked” I thought to myself
But suddenly, he turned to me slowly, squatting just very close to me just then his next word sent cold chills to my spine
“Kill her now !!”
Kill who? What exactly did I just hear? I thought to myself.
Yes !! Caius had every right to be irritated, but I was never expecting him to spill this out.
“What do you mean Caius?” His father voice rose up but this time in a mild tone
This was the first time Alpha Magnus had spoken mildly ever since I found myself here, he wasn't harsh, nor sarcastic in his choice of words.
I could read from his father's lip, that he also wasn't expecting to hear that from him, not now, not even at this moment.
He had probably thought that Caius was going to make mockery of me and then maybe encouraged him to have me to himself through the night.
“Yes father. Why hesitating? You should have her killed this minute” Caius voice sprang up like the blaring of a phone in an empty room.
His father didn't utter a word, he just stared at him, probably waiting for the next word from him.
Just as expected Caius knew the assignment as he turned again, this time, he looked directly at me, his eyes piercing my soul like a sharp sword.
“I can't stand seeing her alive, her father killed mother, and I wouldn't just let that pass, she is unfortunate to be here today, and just like you have always said an eye for an eye, father, a tooth for a tooth. Isn't that right father?” Caius continued, his eyes still boring into mine.
To be honest. It sounded like a joke when he had made the statement for the first time earlier, but a second time meant that he was playing no games.
His father had obviously told him that I was the daughter of his enemy —The one who had slain his mother, and honestly I knew my father would do the same if he was in their shoes.
My heart ached as I tried to speak, my lips trembled as words failed to proceed from my mouth. It seemed like the words were too heavy. I tried to force the words from me as tears streamed down my cheeks again. I had thought that this part was over, it felt like going back to the beginning to solve a puzzle already halfway done.
“Please, don't kill me, I beg you, I beg you” I said as I began to cry profusely.
Honestly. At this point I just didn't know what else to do, I had begun to regret why I had run away from my father, maybe getting married to Ronan wouldn't be as bad as being killed in a strange place.
I just couldn't get killed. Jace and Brandon would never forgive themselves if they heard that I didn't get to the penthouse safely and was killed by my father's greatest enemy — Alpha Magnus Vortan
“You shouldn't beg me, I have no reason to forgive you. Your father ruined everything that I had, and you know he took the best thing of my life away from me, do you know how it feels to live without a mother. Do you !! ?” He roared as his voice echoed through the hallway.
“I know. I obviously don't know how it feels, I'm spoilt, I've been with my mom and dad since I was born, but I'm sorry if my father hurt you and took something precious from you” I replied as tears rolled down to my cheeks.
“Yes, this is the reason, that's the point. They should also know what it feels like to live without a daughter as well, I'm going to take their precious girl away from them” Caius roared again as he reached out for a metal bar close to him.
Jace's POV Brandon and I exchanged a nervous glance as we stood outside the pack, our decision to visit father hanging in the balance. We knew he had explicitly told us not to set foot in the pack, but I couldn't shake off the feeling that he would want to see us, despite everything. After all, we were still his sons, regardless of our differences. As we entered the pack, one of father's guards rushed to me, his face etched with concern."Prince you need to come quickly," he whispered urgently. "There's a problem with your father and mother in the chambers. I overheard them discussing...about Melissa and Alpha Magnus." He said as his voice continued to shake while he spoke My heart skipped a beat as I exchanged a worried glance with Brandon. We hurriedly made our way to the chambers, my mind racing with worst-case scenarios. As we approached the door, I could hear mother's voice, laced with desperation, pleading with father to abort the pending war. Father's response was cold and un
Luna Jasmine's POVI stared at my pretty young daughter and smiled genuinely, as she spoke, I mean which mother wouldn't understand her daughter when she spoke in such a way.I could tell from her lips and mouth that she really do care about the father and son, just like She had explained..Although , a part of me thought she might want to make an option from both men, but I didn't want to butress in that . I felt like if she wanted to choose from both men , I had her back , and if she decided to be with both men, I still had her back , and I would be here always to protect her.“I’m sincerely happy for you, I'm happy that you have people around who care for you" I saidBut Melissa looked at my eyes in tears as she stared at me“I’m sorry mother , I hope you don't get mad at me for loving my father's enemy and the man that kidnapped me" she said.“Oh no baby , I can't be, You have a life to live , Your father and I maybe had lived outside, we might have been made mistakes while living
Melissa's POV"I missed you, Mom," I whispered, my voice muffled against her shoulder."I missed you too, baby," she replied, her voice shaking with emotion. "I've missed you so much."We stood there, holding each other, crying and laughing at the same time. The tears streamed down our faces, mixing with our laughter, creating a bittersweet moment of joy and pain.As we stood there, I felt a weight lifting off my shoulders, a burden I hadn't realized I was carrying. I felt like I could finally breathe again, like I had finally found my way back to myself."I thought I'd lost you," she whispered, her voice cracking with emotion."I'm here, Mom," I replied, holding her tightly. "I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere."We stood there, holding each other, the tears slowly drying on our cheeks, but the love and emotion between us remaining strong."I'm so sorry, Melissa," she whispered, her voice full of regret. "I'm so sorry for everything."I pulled back, looking into her eyes, and saw th
Melissa's POV As I stepped into the garden, I was immediately struck by its serene beauty. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers, and the soft rustle of petals in the gentle breeze was like music to my ears. The garden was a true oasis, a peaceful haven that seemed to transport me to a world of tranquility and calm. The path ahead of me was lined with vibrant flowers, their petals unfolding like tiny works of art. Each bed was meticulously manicured, with every stem and leaf carefully pruned to create a sense of harmony and balance. The flowers were arranged in intricate patterns, with different colors and textures blending together in a beautiful display of nature's craftsmanship. As I walked along the winding path, I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder at the attention to detail that had gone into creating this beautiful space. Every flower was a masterpiece, with delicate petals and vibrant colors that seemed to dance in the sunlight. The garden was a tr
Caius's POV I sank into the bathtub, the warm water enveloping me like a gentle caress. As the heat penetrated my skin, I closed my eyes, and suddenly, memories of Melissa began to flood my mind.I remembered the first time I met her at the bar, her striking beauty and fiery spirit captivating me like a moth to a flame. I recalled the way she laughed, the way her eyes sparkled, the way her hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall of gold.I thought about the training period, the way she pushed me to my limits, the way she challenged me, the way she made me feel alive. I remembered the moments I began to notice my feelings towards her, the way my heart skipped a beat when she was near, the way my soul felt like it was awakening from a deep slime. As the memories washed over me, I felt a pang of longing, a deep ache in my chest. I missed her, oh, how I missed her. I missed everything about her - her smile, her laugh, her touch, her kiss. I missed the way she made me feel, like I wa
Melissa POV It's been a day since I was rescued, and I'm still trying to process everything that's happened. I was grateful to whoever helped me escape Ronan's claws, but I ccouldn't shake the feeling that whoever sent them is someone connected to me, someone who knows me well.I can't help but wonder if it was one of my brothers or someone else entirely. I hope to find out soon and thank whoever it is for saving me.But for now, I knew Alpha Magnus doesn't know where I am, and he's probably still searching for me in the woods. I asked the people who rescued me if I could see their master, the one who orchestrated my rescue. I wanted to thank them, at least. But they told me that's not possible, that their master doesn't want to reveal themselves to me. They said I don't need to meet them, and they'll relay any information I want to pass on.One of the young men said.“You can tell us anything you want, we'll relay the information to our master."I nodded, grateful for their kindness
