Chapter 7: Madam Delilah

Melissa's POV

“Caius" I said, looking sternly at his eyes.

He moved back immediately I stared at him, if I was right he blinked his eyes twice before turning his face away to the other side of the room.I couldn't really say what had happened again, it was obviously the same thing that happened the other time.

“Dont call that name again. what made you think you can call my name, it's only meant for mom and dad" he continued as he staggered back, this time he wasn't looking directly at me, it felt like he was talking to the ground, he seemed helpless , and emotionally wounded.

Why wasn't he looking at me? What was exactly wrong with him? Why did he seem so helpless? What was really happening that I seemed not to understand nor comprehend?

The sound of the metal bar on the floor made some noise as I snapped out from my thoughts and stared back at Caius who his father had just held tightly from tripping over.
