At exactly 8:25 a.m., Liliana stepped into the pristine lobby, her pulse tapping an anxious rhythm against her neck. Despite being early, the sleek black town car was already waiting at the curb, its glossy surface gleaming like obsidian in the morning sun.

The driver stepped out as she approached, his expression professional and unreadable. “Miss Vale,” he greeted with a small nod, just as he had the morning before. He opened the rear door for her without hesitation.

The routine was the same, but she was not.

As she slid into the back seat, her skirt inching higher on her thighs than she would’ve liked, Lili became painfully aware of herself in a way she hadn’t been yesterday. She tugged it down as much as she could, but there wasn’t much to work with. Her reflection in the mirror before she left had stopped her cold. The girl looking back at her had been polished, styled, expensive.

After the healthiest meal she’d had in months, organic oatmeal with berries and almond butter from the fridge, she’d followed a prenatal yoga video on the gym’s wall-mounted screen, moving through stretches with soft pink dumbbells and matching mats. Then she’d curled up on one of the absurdly soft sofas with a fuzzy blanket to binge reality TV while sipping chamomile tea.

And no one stopped her. No one knocked to say she didn’t belong here. No one handed her a bill.

She’d had the quietest, calmest day of her life.

And yet, it had exhausted her more than a ten-hour shift at the florist.

She’d gone to bed just after sunset and slept for ten full hours, waking to an entirely new reality.

The clothes had arrived.

She’d walked out to the penthouse’s vast foyer to find it transformed. A sea of luxury, designer garment bags, stacked boxes with gold lettering, racks of clothing, and curated collections arranged like a boutique. Soft tissue paper peeked out of bags. Silk ribbons held tags with her name.

Someone, likely multiple someones, had done all of this while she slept.

And the message was unmistakable: this was what she was expected to wear.

There had been delicate silk pajamas in pastels she could get used to. Casual pieces too, high-end jeans, chic tops, plush sweaters. Even a pair of shearling-lined flats.

But the office attire had been unmistakably… curated.

A row of fitted white blouses. Several very short dark skirts. Black stockings. And a range of designer heels that were all high enough to make her ankles nervous.

The underwear had drawn a nervous laugh from her lips: nothing but lace thongs and front-clasp bras, in shades of ivory, blush, and black.

She hadn’t dared to think too long about how they knew her size.

Now, sitting in the back of the town car, the soft leather cool beneath her thighs, she tugged once more at the hem of the skirt and exhaled slowly.

She was on her way to spend the day with two men who had offered her ten million dollars.

And there was no doubt in her mind, they intended to make sure she earned every cent.

The moment she stepped back into the towering office building, Lili’s pulse quickened again. The same receptionist from before greeted her with a polite smile and directed her wordlessly to the elevators.

The ascent felt longer this time.

As she rose higher, the memory of Cade’s amused smile and Beckett’s cold stare swirled in her chest like smoke. Her fingers fidgeted with the hem of her blouse, smoothing it for the hundredth time. She glanced at her reflection in the mirrored wall, trying to gather herself.

Was it her imagination, or did she look even more like someone else's fantasy now?

When the elevator doors parted with a soft chime, she stepped out into the familiar hushed corridor. The polished floor seemed to gleam with expectation. A waiting assistant, dressed immaculately in black, greeted her with a nod.

“Right this way, Miss Vale.”

Lili followed, every step echoing too loud in her own ears.

The doors loomed ahead. The same enormous, intimidating double doors from the day before.

The assistant knocked once, then pushed them open.

Lili stepped inside.

There was a change in the room. Where one desk had been, imposing enough on its own, there were now two. And behind them sat both brothers.

Cade, lounging with casual dominance, looked up first. His dark hair was slightly tousled, storm-gray eyes sharpening with interest. He wore a tailored navy suit, the cut so precise it almost looked carved into his frame. That knowing smirk tugged at the corners of his mouth.

Beckett was beside him, seated with stiff posture, his all-black ensemble accentuating the sharpness of his jaw and the forbidding line of his mouth. Despite the disdain smoldering in his gaze, his eyes trailed down her body, as if he couldn’t stop himself from tracing every inch of her outfit.

She felt their stares like heat licking along her skin.

Cade stood first, easy and fluid, and approached with the smooth grace of a man who always got what he wanted.

“I hope you found the apartment comfortable,” he said.

“Yes, thank you. It was... incredible,” Lili replied, her voice holding steady by sheer force of will.

She’d half-hoped that proximity might dull the illusion. That up close, some flaw would reveal itself in Cade’s impossibly handsome face. But no. He was even more devastating at this distance. Late twenties, she guessed, though there was a youthful arrogance to him that contrasted sharply with Beckett’s older, colder composure. She was sure Beckett had to be the elder of the two.

“And I hope the clothes were alright,” he added, gaze dipping to her thighs and back again. “They suit you.”

“They're lovely,” she said, then hesitated. “The skirts are, um, a little shorter than I’m used to—”

“Ah,” he interrupted smoothly, “I think you’ll find them quite helpful.”

He took another step closer, eyes gleaming with a sharper, darker amusement.

“Let’s not forget your primary goal here, Miss Vale—as our ‘surrogate’, your main objective should be to entice my brother and I to fuck you as often as possible.”

The silence stretched, thick with tension.Lili stood trembling in front of their desks, another black mat had been placed in front of her, centered like a stage. Her breath came shallow and fast. The weight of their gazes pressed into her skin, but neither man spoke. For a moment, the two brothers exchanged a look across their desks, a silent conversation she couldn’t begin to read. Her pulse skittered, thighs clenching. Were they deciding what to do with her? How far to take her today? The waiting was a torment all its own. Then, for the first time, Beckett spoke first.“Kneel.”The single word cracked through her like a whip. She dropped instantly, her knees sinking into the mat as though her body had been waiting for the command all along.“Spread your knees wider than your shoulders.” His voice was a low growl now, dark and steady. She swallowed hard and obeyed, thighs parting until her hips ached, the damp heat between her legs exposed to the cool air and their gaze as her skirt

  • Breeding the Surrogate   Restless

Lili tossed and turned beneath the crisp, expensive sheets, sleep nowhere in sight. Her body still hummed with unsatisfied need, every inch of her sensitized beyond reason. The phantom press of Cade’s fingers and the rough pinch of Beckett’s grip haunted her skin, pulsing through her with every shallow breath. She shifted restlessly, thighs tense beneath her silk pajamas, heart racing. Logic told her to calm down, to rest, to let her body settle but her body refused to listen. Her mind, no better. She couldn’t stop replaying the afternoon, over and over. The way they had touched her. Spoken to her. Held her. They want me. They own me.The thought sent another flush of heat racing through her. Then a new one crept in. One she couldn’t shake. That sexual exclusivity clause… it applies to me. But does it apply to them? The idea of either of them doing those things to another woman made her stomach twist. Jealousy wasn’t supposed to be part of this, she knew that. But the thought of Becke

The soft chime sounded again.Five o’clock.Lili stirred slightly, blinking as the sound pulled her back to awareness. Cade’s hand gave one final, soothing stroke down her spine, then stilled. An hour. A whole hour had passed like that. Held, touched, stroked, commanded. The time had blurred and stretched, leaving her lightheaded and aching in ways she couldn’t name. She would have sworn it had been minutes, not an hour spent curled in their arms. And now it was over.“That’s time,” he said gently.Time. The hour of 'intimacy' was over. For a moment, she remained curled against Cade, hesitant to move, her body reluctant to give up the fragile sense of peace she’d found there. She could still feel Beckett's gaze, steady and unrelenting from the seat next to her.But then Cade’s tone shifted, lighter now, all business. “We have some work to finish.”She straightened slowly, cheeks flushed, heart racing at how quickly they could change the mood.“You’re free to go for today,” Cade contin

  • Breeding the Surrogate   Intimacy

A soft chime sounded through the office. A low, melodic tone that made Lili flinch.Four o’clock. Her heart skipped, breath catching as she processed what that meant. Intimacy hour. The words sounded deceptively soft, but she wasn’t sure what they truly meant. After everything so far, she didn’t trust the shift. Was it more control? More tests? Something else entirely? Her pulse raced with uncertainty. She knew only one thing for certain, they expected her to obey, no matter what came next. The hands on her body withdrew. Cade’s fingers lifted with deliberate care, as if to remind her that control could be as gentle as it was commanding. Beckett’s grip released last, slower, almost reluctant. Or resentful. She couldn’t tell which, but the heat of it lingered long after his touch was gone.“That will do,” Cade said softly. “For now.”She swallowed, body trembling as the ache between her legs throbbed unanswered.“Lili,” Cade continued, voice warm now, coaxing. “Come here, sweetheart.”

  • Breeding the Surrogate   Surrender

A chair creaked softly beside her.Her heart stuttered, pounding so violently she was sure they must hear it. Every nerve in her body was on fire, her core aching and clenching at the words Cade spoke next.“We’re going to touch you now, Lili.”The simple declaration sent heat rushing through her, her breath caught halfway in her throat. She dug her fingers lightly into her thighs, grounding herself, fighting the urge to tremble.Touch me how? Where? The questions spun wildly in her head, feeding the dangerous coil of heat low in her belly. She didn’t move. Didn’t risk a glance. She kept her gaze locked forward on the desk, as though it might anchor her. As though it could somehow protect her from the two men flanking her now.She didn’t dare close her eyes, he hadn’t told her to. And part of her wasn’t sure if shutting them would make the moment easier or infinitely worse. She tried not to focus on the scents surrounding her. Subtle, masculine, expensive. The clean spice of Cade’s co

Lili’s pulse hammered as she obeyed. She crossed the office with slow, careful movements, her heels clicking softly in the charged silence. Cade remained seated behind his desk, watching her with an unreadable gleam in his eyes. But it was Beckett’s gaze she felt most keenly. He sat farther back, arms folded, his eyes shadowed and unreadable, but unwavering. Dark. Searing. As though he could see through her skin and straight into the thrum of arousal low in her belly. She stopped in front of Cade’s desk, her throat tight. Her hands hovered at her sides, unsure of where they should go. Her breath came quick and shallow, heat pooling low in her belly despite the nerves crawling over her skin. She waited.Cade didn’t speak at first. He leaned back in his chair, studying her with that slight, dangerous smile that had the power to unravel her. Beckett didn’t move, didn’t blink, just watched her, that cold, assessing stare making her want to squirm. The silence stretched, wrapping around he
