Percy stood and reached for my hand, but I shook him off.

He looked confused by my reaction. After a moment, it seemed to click. He assumed I was still sulking and gave a helpless smile.

"Alright, stop making a fuss. I came to get you, didn't I? I actually forgave you a long time ago. I just wanted you to fix that nasty temper of yours. I'm doing this for your own good."

I frowned. "Who do you think you are to me? Why should I go with you?"

I turned and walked away.

Percy grabbed my wrist, guilt written all over his face. "I know you're still mad at me. I know this is all my fault. As long as you come back with me, we can just pretend none of this ever happened."

My back teeth ground together. He'd put me through hell, and he thought an apology could wipe it all away. He expected me to go back with him and act as if nothing had happened.

How could he be this shameless?
