Chapter 5

Adam lifts her up in his arms ready to walk away but Grandma’s voice stopped him. Both had to pray in the temple of the royal palace before both start their marital life.

“But Grandma, New queen and Prince Adam cannot stay with each other for the next 5 days. Priest had told so...” Stacey informed, inwardly smirking evilly... in those five days, I would send this girl back to her home.

Adam stopped and looked at his bride in his arms, I care a damn whether it is five days or five births. He thought ruefully before putting her down to her feet.

Julio was relieved that she will have 5 days to make Adam agree to work on the marriage and accept Georgina because she wanted an heir for the Richardson.

Georgina was little upset with this info however she ignored the feeling...she is happy to have him her husband now...nothing matters to her. Moreover, it’s only few days separation...she had waited for him more than this...few more days won’t harm her. She thought putting her feet on the roses bed which Stacey had made for the welcome of new bride of royal Richardson’s. The path had reached until the small temple.

Adam just has removed his shoes to walk with his bride to the temple when he heard her small yelp. Georgina was not aware about Stacey’s evil plans that she walked on the rose bed and feels her feet getting injured. At first she didn’t realized what pricked her but when second time it did, she couldn’t’ bear the pain.

Georgina was badly hurt now that wasn’t able to walk properly now.  Adam looked at her, her face mirror the expression of pain.

She was about to faint when Rajeev Richardson held her from her shoulder. ‘It's my duty to always support you at each step since you are Queen of Richardson’s.’ His other hand was about to move around her waist when Prince Adam grabbed her in his arms. 

"My bride is my responsibility and I know how to fulfil my responsibility." He told sternly while his eyes spitting fire. He picked her in his arms, shocking the audience thereby.

He gingerly puts her on couch when Julio asked her, ‘how did you get hurt, dear?’ 

Georgina was silent, then said meekly, ’maybe some thorn pierced in the rose bed.’

Julio was furious so was Grandma listening to her, Julio scold the servants, ‘Who ever laid the petals, why didn’t check for thorns.’

All were silent putting their head down while Georgina felt bad for then when suddenly she looked down at Adam who sat on his one knee before her and asks for it.

She was startled as she denies by the nod of her head but he keeps her feet up on the armrest and pulls all thorns out of Georgina's feet, “it will cause pain.’ 

She holds his hand, shutting her eyes in pain. Her lips were quivering, trying to control the sobs.

The royal servants bring big water bowl and napkins to clean her feet. She watched his reflection in the water and he saw her reflection...she was lost in a moment while he washes her feet with his own hands & pats them dry with napkin.  

Georgina thinks that she now believes that he care for her, he didn’t let her walk in pain. Prince Adam truly loves her a lot.

Later on, Jenny the royal maid and personal assistant of Julio Richardson, shows the room to Georgina for her stay for the next five days.

Adam stormed in his room angrily as he tore his shirt apart in a way. He couldn’t think straight as the scene which happened down stairs just swirled before his eyes disturbing him badly. Thus to distract himself he strode to his mini bar and made himself a drink.

His thoughts took him back to the memories of past month when he stepped in this hometown of his parents. Adam Richardson was successful Businessman, have taken the reins of Richardson’s business at the tender age of 19. In those 11 years of life he had taken Richardson’s business to the new heights where no one will think to follow even. 

It was his sheer hard work and dedication that had brought him this up in the ladder of success. In this span of time he only frequently visited the town. But today he was returning after good 4 years...that too for some business deal...

As soon as his private jet landed...he was took back to the memories of the only woman apart from his Grandma who was close to his heart but she was no more to share his love and care now. The thoughts were painful that’s why he had always avoided them and so the place.

He was known to be strictly professional that’s the reason he had climbed the ladder of success in short span of time. Here to he kept his personal feelings away from his business. He put the goggles on to mask his emotions and got down.

Huge range of security and officials were there to receive him. He gets into the car which took him to the Richardson’s Palace.

A girl was riding bicycle when two kids came there stopping her in a way, sister Georgina...Georgina...” 

“What’s the matter Ron...why you are running...” she asked curiously.

“Prince Adam is coming home today & few days after tomorrow, a ceremony is organized in his honour. 

Georgina was elated that Prince Adam is coming back after long years. She had only seen him in magazines and on news but always yearned to get his one real glimpse. Having done her masters in architecture in city, she had been call back to her home town by her orthodox mother. Her father Tim Caroll has his own private company in City. 

Although he visits his family back in town two times a week...for he loved his wife and daughter dearly...wanted to take his daughter to the city once he establish his firm and flourish it further.

Georgina had always wanted to fly high, achieving something big in her life against her mother’s constant nagging about her marriage. Her father loved his child so much that he accepted her every wish to fulfil her dreams. He had worked hard and stays hungry to fulfil his dear daughter’s wishes. 

While achieving her dreams, Georgina never knew when she started admiring her ideal and silently unknown to her was falling in love with him.

He was none other than Adam Richardson...she had always admired his hard work...his aura...his attitude...the way he had accomplished the success with his sheer hard work. 

People consider him ruthless and egoistic but my heart says Prince Adam is different. She thought with tender smile on her face.

Kids see her beaming in happiness, “You seem so happy as if he is your king...’ they teased her giggling away. 

She rushes & in hurry bumps into the tree, in result falling down along with her cycle. The kids broke into laughter teasing her further, “Why are you in a hurry?”

She denies being excited for Adam’s arrival & goes with the kids.
