Bride of Convenience

Julio Richardson walked into her son’s chamber only to notice it empty. She was scared for a while but then he walked out from washroom. He looked at his mother’s worried face and instantly knew what she was thinking.

“Don’t worry, I won’t break my promise. I am just getting ready.” He said in rueful voice while his jaw tightens.

“I am doing everything, only for you, son.” Said Julio.

“For my Grandson or for your own purpose you are doing all this?” said Grandma walking from behind although she too wanted to see her grandson settled down but not like this with force.

Julio closed her eyes to calm down her anger, she respects her mother in law but she wouldn’t for once try to understand her.

“I am doing everything for Richardson Empire...I have fulfilled my responsibility, now it’s your turn, son.” She said to her son instead.

He presses the locket of neck piece which he was holding in his hand so hard that his palm bleeds badly.

She sat lost before the dressing table as the ladies of household and some beautician got her ready for her engagement with none other than the Prince Adam Richardson.

Her mother walked in behind her, seeing her lost she sighed and sent the girls out of her room who had got her ready now.

“Georgina, where are you lost, dear?” she put her palm on her shoulder jerking her back to reality.

“Nothing mother, just thinking about sudden turn of events in my life. Everything happen so fast...I didn’t get the time to ponder over anything.” she said lost in the past events that changed her whole life drastically.

“Whatever it is, Georgina, this is the only reality of your life and you have to accept it.”

“I have accepted it mother...but he...” she was still unsure about his take on this relationship.

“I know dear, he too like you that is why he took such a decision.” her mother said with a smile bringing beautiful shy smile on Georgina's face as well.

Carroll Family got down from their car before the enchanting Royal Palace of Richardson.

Georgina has been nervous and anxious with the event going to take palce in her life...she couldn’t stop blushing all the while in her whole route.

Richardson welcomed the bride’s family royally. Tanya, the daughter in Law of Richardson puts a veil on Georgina’s face hone, our soon to be queen, new bride of the royal Richardson’s need to cover their face in the family.” and she makes her sit on the stage.

After a while Adam arrived with his mother and grandmother on either side of him. He looked at Georgina and thought angrily, ‘that veil won’t help you.’

The ritual has started as Adam settled beside her, the priest has been chanting the mantras. 

Georgina was both nervous and excited while Adam looks angrily at her. What’s the use of hiding your face, your greed is visible from your desire to become Queen...the daughter in law to Royal Richardson.

Upstairs, the man with the gun in his hand hides behind the pillar. His job was just to kill the prince of Richardson, create the chaos and escape as per his boss’s order.

She tried to look at him through the veil, when her friends teased her, take a hold, would be Mrs. Richardson, you have your entire life to drool on Prince Adam.

She blushed furiously averting her gaze down. She stood up for the ritual when Julio asked him as well, Adam stand here with Georgina.”

“I will forever hate this name.” He thought ruefully coming near her.

Julio looked at the timid girl and thought to herself, no value of a simple girl’s life in front of my son. She is just a pawn in this game...

The engagement ring was brought to Julio who handed it to Adam asking him to put the ring on Georgina’s hand...

Adam looks at the ring then stares curtly at his mother. He holds the ring and remembers the woman who used to have the possession of it. 

Georgina was anxiously waiting for him to put the ring on. Adam just stared at her clearly in denial of this whole thing. The killer took the aim.

Julio repeated her words while Grandma closed her eyes trying to control her emotions seeing her grandson like this. She knew how he might be feeling now...but she couldn’t do anything right now.

Everything was happening as if destiny’s plans.

Georgina was excited about wearing the ring. Adam takes her hand.

He became furious, he just couldn’t move further and put the ring on her...everyone was waiting anxiously now seeing him taking time. Finally Julio held Georgina’s hand and gestured to Adam.

That’s when he notices the bracelet in her delicate hand and was stunned. He wonders how she got these...

He was stunned seeing the same bracelet on her hand which he had given to the girl in the Church.

He was staring her angrily when priest said, “Now Prince Adam has to see the face of his bride now to complete the rituals.”

The mirror was placed on the table beside them and as per the royal ritual he watched her face in the mirror. He was taken aback seeing her face. He gets furious and lifts her veil to see her face clearly.

She was the one he had collided with a few times now. This father and daughter have played a big game with him, He thought furiously glaring her down. 

While Georgina was blushing heavily, having beautiful shy smile on her face unknown of the storm coming her away in the form of Adam’s anger.

You played with me and my heart...trapped me in our dirty game. I never thought this pretty face has an ugly heart. But today the truth came out and I'll never forgive you for this deceit.

The killer was still trying to target the Prince but now Julio was standing in between. She asks Adam to exchange the ring with Georgina. His hands are shivering in rage and he drops the ring on floor. Everyone gets shocked and starts looking for the ring.

The killer got tense seeing that everyone is moving so much that he has been unable to take aim. He changes his position and then takes the aim.

Georgina became tense and tried to locate the ring, suddenly she spotted it on the floor and points to it shouting... “there it is...”

Her veil falls from her head during this...oblivious to it she was happy having found the ring but others were unhappy seeing her head uncovered. Adam was just glaring her angrily.

She looked at him and realizes it that she instantly covers her head.

The ring was again in his hand unfortunately or fortunately. He holds Georgina's wrist tightly pressing it hard...she winced in pain and looked at him.

He looked extremely angry & puts the ring in her finger. She smiled that only angered him further and jerked her hand roughly without much notice of everyone. The hall buzzed with the clapping sound.

Georgina adjusts the ring in her finger and stared at the ring happily really unknown about the storm going on in her prince’s heart.

When it was her turn, her father handed her the ring.

Adam clenches his fist in anger. Reluctantly, he extends his hand & Georgina puts the ring on his finger feeling overwhelmed.

Thunderous applause follows.

Priest asks the bride & groom to feed each other sweets. Adam was frustrated with whole ritual drama now still he has to follow it.

Georgina looks at her ring & thought; this ring is symbol of our love Prince Adam. I shall forever be indebted to you for giving me place in your heart.

Adam looks at her ring & thought, this ring is mark of your & your father's betrayal to me which I'll never forget.

Julio affectionately puts her hand on his shoulder but he stops her angrily and left the stage.
