Tree man and little man III

The rain kept falling and Baji was drenched yet still hiding behind the tree from The creature. 

His breathing was laboured and his body hurt all over, but he knew he had to do something to escape. 

The rain had given him a sliver of hope,  he may not just have to die today. 

The creature came closer and closer to Baji's location as it tried all what it could to find him fast before the situation got any worse. 

Baji as well knew he had to move quickly or the creature will find him, so he stood up gently and began moving from tree to tree and he moved away from the creature. 

He moved to the first and then to the next, but when he was about moving to the other he stepped on a twig and it broke with a loud snap that the creature heard. 

The creature heard it immediately and focused its attention in that direction and immediately found Baji.

"there you are little man "

It said And immediately Baji's heart sank into his chest and he just ran away,  towards where he could hear the running water. 

The creature followed after him, it extended its spiky Right arm like a projectile towards Baji ,hoping to impale him and it extended the left to grab a tree to propel himself forward. 

Baji avoided the right arm that wanted to impale him just in the nick of time as he turned but the creature slammed right into him as it propelled itself forward.

The force at which it slammed against Baji sent him flying back and crashing out of the forests into a clearing.

Baji winced in pain and coughed out blood but then he realized he was at the edge of a cliff,  a cliff that led to a running River.

Baji struggled to get up quickly before the creature came, but it was too late. The creature Came close and grabbed Baji by the neck with its vine like arm and attempted to crush him .

"it was a good one, little man. But you have to die now."  

The creature said and baji struggled and clawed on the creature as he was being crushed,  but it was to no avail since the skin of the creature was as hard as tree bark.

Baji reached into his pocket desperately and took the pen he had in his pocket and plunged it into The only vulnerable place he could find. He plunged the pen into the creatures one eye. 

The creature screamed in agony as it let go of Baji immediately to nurse its punctured eye, it thrashed about violently. Yelling and cursing in a language Baji did not understand.

The creature could no longer see and the rain had dulled its senses so it just staggered about trying to Navigate.  

Baji staggered to his feet and then ran aggressively to the creature and pushed it over the cliff And Into the violently running river. 

The creature fell over the cliff but extended his vine like Hand to grab Baji along with him.

"I want to go home "

Sophia cried Out Loud As the rain hammered heavily against her. 

"I don't wanna die,  I don't wanna die "

She cried out in agony and fright from what she had just witnessed. 

Her voice and the rain brought every one back from thier frightened daze. And many of then dropped to thier kneels and on the floor and wept. They wept for those they just lost and for the entire situation.

Damian was still stupefied and had passed out from the experience.

Hanson was just kneeling under the rain and had not said a word since then.

The rain washed away the blood of them that had been killed by the creature coloring the ground red with bloody water. 

"guys we have to do something"

Anita managed to speak after recovering from the trauma.

But no-one was listening to her,  she yelled it again

"GUYS WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING.?"

"DO WHAT ANITA? "

Cordelia shut back immediately with tears and rain falling from her face,but it was impossible to tell that it was rain.

"Class rep is going to die. "

Anita said weakly 

Cordelia remembered Baji the class rep had just saved them few moments ago.

"forget about it he's already dead. "

Hanson said from his position on the ground.

"why will you say that? " Anita rebelled. 

"did you see that thing? how can anyone survive that " Hanson barked angrily. 

As much as he was grateful that Baji had saved them for the moment, he was more beaten up because he could not do anything but shiver in fear. But the weak willed class rep was who stepped up to save them.

"...but but we have to try ?" Anita said weakly, with tears building up in her eyes 

" and how do we do that? " Cordelia said as she still sobbed. 

"...." Anita was unable to answer and she just kept quiet and cried. 

The rain was beginning to subside,they could not tell how long it had been but they knew it had been for a while.

The rain had washed away the blood and everything on the ground leaving everything drenched and gloomy, even themselves..

The bushes ruffled again and twigs snapped as something was forcing itself through them.

"guys it's coming back. " Felix cried out as he fell back on his feet and struggled to get up to run again.

"it's back to finish the job I guess. Back to kill us all " Cordelia cried and fell down, knowing there's no running away from it. 

She accepted her fate and was ready to die. 

Some of them began running away in fright since it was the only thing they could do. 

"I'm not going without a fight this time " Hanson said as be picked up a stick to make a stand. 

Some guys as well joined him, if they were gonna die, it's best they died fighting.

The bushes parted slightly and a wounded bleeding and exhausted Baji emerged holding a severed arm of the creature like a stick.

He looked at everyone who was completely surprised to see him Alive and then he fell and passed out. 

"look everyone, it's the class rep."
