21. Not blue

I looked around and noticed expensive paintings hung up on the walls. His house was just as spacious as Damien's. But still the walls here had more light in them. Like the walls ik Damien’s home didn't get many moments to hold in them, craving to hear those touches of family laughter. Maybe because Damien was almost alone every night.

Evan came running down the stairs, almost jumping and skipping all the stairs. Smiling wide he came and stood in front of me. Then as if not sure, he came near me and poked me with his finger. When he realized that indeed I was here, he let out a sigh of relief, "It's you."

"In the flesh," I replied back.

"Mom told me that you were waiting for me. I couldn't believe her so I ran here just to check if it really was you."

"You satisfied?"

"Very much... Anyways would you like to have something?" He asked.

I just had some bread before coming here, so I shook my head in denial.

"Come on, pizza?"
