31. Lie

"Amelia Woods." The guy yelled out.

I spat my drink out.

And just like that, all the spotlights were focused on me. I tried to cover my face with my hand but the damn lights won't move. The guy moved towards me.

"Amelia Woods, can we please have you in the middle?"

"No," I replied.

"Excuse me?" He asked seeming surprised.

"I mean, it's not me. You might have gotten the name wrong. It can't be me." I shook my head in denial

"It is very much you. So can we please have you in the middle?" He said and turned around leaving no space for further argument.

"Fine," I mumbled.

I moved in the middle and sighed, "Can we please get over with this? I'm not interested in your guest at all." I said to the guy in a whisper but apparently the microphone was too close that everyone heard it.

There were gasps all over the crowd. What? I just stated the truth.
