I felt sick walking behind Jake and Lucas. I had a bad feeling about whatever Lucas wanted to discuss. When I got to the hall, he was already waiting for me, or rather, his warriors were waiting for me. The same warriors I used to train with. Now that was not a problem, the problem was the level of respect they gave me, and they kept calling me Luna.

Maybe my dear friend told them that I was Jake’s mate, at least that is what I thought until we got to Lucas. The man had a sickening smile on his face, and he was overly friendly with me. I thought he was pleased because William was dead but by the way; he was going on; I think there is more to it than that.

I did not get to ask questions because Jake called me to the stage and introduced me as his mate to everyone, wiping the smile off Lucas’s face. The way he has been eager to talk to Jake made me think of the worst. We got to the third floor where Jake’s office was, and he opened the door letting Lucas and me in then closed it
