Elsa’s Pov

The hall had begun to empty, though the laughter of guests still drifted from the courtyard. My arms ached from serving, my throat dry as dust, but I refused to falter. Convocation day had ended in Crystal’s triumph. tonight, she was restless. And I was her favorite target.

“Elsa,” her sharp voice cut across the hall.

I froze where I stood, clutching a tray of empty goblets. Every guest, every maid, every warrior still lingering in the room turned toward me at once.

“Come here,” she ordered.

I swallowed hard, forcing my feet to move. My steps echoed in the vast space as I approached the dais where she lounged beside Caleb, her golden gown glittering in the candlelight.

When I reached her, she smiled sweetly, the kind of smile that promised pain.

“You looked distracted earlier,” she said lightly, though her eyes were like knives. “Were the tasks too heavy for you? Or…” Her gaze sharpened. “…were you watching someone you shouldn’t?”

My stomach dropped.

Had she seen?

“Answer her,” Caleb said coldly, his voice carrying through the hall. He leaned back in his chair, unreadable, but his eyes pinned me like a predator cornering prey.

I lowered my head. “No, Luna. I was only serving as ordered.”

Crystal’s nails clicked against her goblet. “Lies.” She stood, her gown whispering across the marble. “I saw your face when the Red Claw Alpha entered.”

The air in the hall shifted. Murmurs rippled across the guests who lingered near the doors. Red Claw Alpha. My chest tightened.

Crystal’s smile widened. “Should I test your loyalty, Elsa? Should I prove to everyone that you’re still the pathetic girl who thought she deserved Caleb’s side?”

She raised her hand. “Kneel. Right here. In front of everyone.”

Gasps echoed. Amy growled in my chest, thrashing. Don’t. Don’t bow to her again.

I clenched my fists. My knees shook, but before I could decide, a voice cut through the hall like a blade.

“Enough.”

The sound silenced the room.

Every head turned.

Dylan stood at the far end of the hall, tall and commanding, his dark eyes fixed on Crystal. The torches seemed to burn brighter against his shadow.

“You will not touch her,” he said, voice low but powerful.

Crystal’s face drained of color. “Alpha Dylan… this is not your concern…”

He moved before she could finish, striding through the hall with the confidence of a predator. Warriors shifted uneasily, but none dared block his path.

When he reached me, he didn’t hesitate. Strong arms swept me off my feet, lifting me as if I weighed nothing.

Gasps and whispers exploded around us.

“Put her down!” Crystal shrieked, her composure shattering.

Caleb surged to his feet, fury flashing across his face. “What do you think you’re doing, Dylan?”

Dylan’s gaze never wavered. He looked only at me, his grip steady and protective. His scent wrapped around me power, danger, something that set my wolf howling with joy.

Mate. Ours. Claim him.

I shook my head weakly, heart racing. “No… not here, not like this…”

But my wolf surged, drowning me out.

Dylan lowered his head, his breath brushing my ear. “I told you. Survive. Fight. Now you’re mine.”

And before I could stop him, his lips crashed against mine.

The world froze.

His kiss was fire, scorching through every wound, every scar I carried. Amy roared in triumph, clawing to the surface. My body trembled, caught between shock and surrender.

Then, sharp heat seared into my neck.

I gasped as his fangs pierced my skin, sinking deep.

The bond snapped into place with a force that nearly shattered me. A tidal wave of sensation power, belonging, home flooded through me. Amy howled, exultant.

Mate. Marked. Ours forever.

I clutched his shoulders, dizzy, the world spinning.

When he pulled back, blood glistened on his lips, his eyes glowing with possessive fire.

Chaos erupted.

“She’s marked—!” someone cried.

“By Dylan, the Red Claw Alpha!”

“This is madness!”

Crystal’s scream split the air. “No! No, she’s nothing….she’s mine to command!”

Caleb’s voice thundered over hers. “Dylan, you’ve gone too far!” His fists clenched, fury blazing in his eyes. For the first time since he cast me aside, there was emotion in his face jealousy, rage.

Dylan’s head turned slowly, his gaze locking with Caleb’s. “You had your chance. You threw her away. Now she belongs to me.”

The words fell like stones into the silence that followed.

I shook, torn between disbelief and the bond that burned hot and unbreakable in my veins. Marked. Claimed. The richest, most feared Alpha in the region had chosen me.

But the hall was against me.

Warriors shifted, guests whispered furiously, elders looked scandalized.

“She can’t be Luna of Red Claw..she’s a servant here…”

“She’s disgraced…”

“It’s an insult to the Crescent Moon Pack!”

Crystal’s eyes glittered with venom. “You’ve ruined everything,” she spat, pointing at me. “You planned this, didn’t you? You seduced him, you…”

Dylan’s growl silenced her, deep and dangerous. “Careful.”

Caleb stepped down from the dais, his expression dark, deadly. “You think you can walk into my hall and take what’s mine?”

The words sliced through me. What’s mine. Not who I was. Not what I meant. Just possession.

Dylan’s arms tightened around me. “She was never yours. You treated her like dirt beneath your boots. But I see her. And now she’s mine in truth.”

The bond pulsed in agreement, my wolf trembling with fierce joy. But I… I was drowning.

My gaze flicked between them.. Caleb’s fury, Dylan’s possessiveness, Crystal’s hatred, the pack’s shock.

I had wanted freedom. I had wanted strength. But now, marked in front of the entire pack, my fate had been sealed in a way I had never imagined.

The hall erupted in shouting as elders demanded explanations, warriors prepared for conflict, and guests argued about alliances and insults.

But all I could hear was the echo of Dylan’s words.

Now you’re mine.

My heart stuttered in my chest. It couldn’t be Dylan—if it were, I would have already felt his presence, the heavy command of his aura pressing against my wolf.I sat up quickly, clutching the edges of my robe and tying it around my waist. My bare feet sank into the thick carpet as I moved toward the living room. The knock came again quieter, hesitant.I pulled open the door. And my world stopped.Standing there, wide-eyed, trembling, was Lila.I froze, my throat closing, convinced I was dreaming. My hand shot up to my face, wiping at my eyes, desperate to clear the illusion. But she didn’t vanish. She was real. And before I could speak, she threw herself forward and wrapped me in her arms. Her familiar scent warm, earthy, threaded with lavender hit me all at once, and my knees buckled. My arms wrapped around her

  • Broken Luna Rise Back   The Alpha’s Watch

Dylan’s POVThe night was too quiet.I’ve learned over the years that quiet doesn’t mean peace….it means danger. It’s the breath before the strike, the pause before the knife comes down. A pack’s silence was never empty. It was heavy, charged, waiting.I stood on the balcony outside my chambers, hands resting on the stone rail as I looked down at the courtyard. Torches burned low, their flames bending with the night breeze. Guards patrolled in pairs, their boots clicking against the stones, their movements sharp and disciplined. My pack always moved with precision. That was how I kept them strong. That was why no other Alpha dared test me.And yet, I could feel it like a draft seeping through cracks in the walls. The air wasn’t clean. Whispers were spreading, like insects burrowing beneath the skin.I didn’t need to hear the words to know where they came from.Veronica.My jaw tightened. She hadn’t approached me directly since Elsa arrived, and that alone told me everything I needed t

  • Broken Luna Rise Back   The Mistress’s Fury

Author’s POVThe maid’s words echoed in Veronica’s mind like a cruel bell: “She sat beside Lady Selene. The Lady held her hand. Even Neris likes her.”Veronica’s fingers dug into the silk of her gown as she paced her room. The rich fabric that once made her feel like a queen now felt suffocating. How could this be happening? She had spent years weaving herself into Dylan’s life years of smiles, whispered promises, and stolen nights. She had endured his coldness when he grew distant, clung to the warmth when he allowed her close again, and convinced herself that in time, he would see that no one else could stand at his side the way she could. But now…now some little slip of a girl had walked in from nowhere, and suddenly the Luna’s chamber belonged to her.Veronica slammed her fist against the vanity, making the glass perfume bottles tremble. Her reflection glared back at her: flawless beauty, dark eyes sharp as knives, lips painted the color of blood. She had been told all her life sh

  • Broken Luna Rise Back   Weighing Shadows

Elsa’s POVLady Selene still held my hand as though she didn’t want to let me go. Her grip was steady, warm, and stronger than I expected. It was strange how she made me feel safe in the middle of a room that reeked of tension.“Sit with me, child,” she said, patting the seat beside her.The maids quickly adjusted the cushions, clearing the space. I lowered myself onto the chair, my back straight, hands folded in my lap. My heart beat fast, though I forced my face to remain calm.Neris plopped down at my other side, cheerful as ever, her curls bouncing. She leaned so close I could feel her excitement radiating. Lyra, however, chose to stand near the window, her posture elegant, her expression unreadable. She crossed her arms, eyes fixed on me like a hawk watching prey.Lady Selene spoke first, her voice low but carrying weight. “You must forgive my daughters. One is too quick to trust, the other too slow. Both are young still, learning the ways of this world. But you…” Her sharp gaze

  • Broken Luna Rise Back   A Different Kind of Strength

Elsa’s POVThe morning light was soft when the knock came at my door. I had barely finished fastening the silver clasp on my gown when the guards appeared to escort me. My heart thudded as we crossed the long corridors of the packhouse and descended the stone steps. Outside, the air was crisp, scented with pine and faint traces of smoke from the chimneys.“She is waiting,” one of the guards said gruffly, and I followed, my palms damp inside my sleeves.Lady Selene’s residence stood separate from the main packhouse, though close enough that her presence could still loom over everything. The building was elegant but quiet, its white stone walls climbing with ivy. It felt older than the other structures, filled with a kind of weight that whispered of history and power.I stepped inside. The scent of herbs and polished wood filled the air. The chamber was wide, warmed by a great hearth. There, near the center, Lady Selene sat on a high-backed chair draped with wolf pelts. Two maids knelt

  • Broken Luna Rise Back   Shadows of Expectation

Elsa’s POVThe gown lay across the bed like a trap. Rich velvet dyed the color of midnight, its sleeves embroidered with threads of silver that shimmered like frost. It was beautiful, far more beautiful than anything I had ever touched, let alone worn. But as I sat on the edge of the bed staring at it, I felt no pride. Only heaviness. The Luna’s chamber was quiet except for the crackling of the fireplace. Everything around me gleamed polished wood, silk curtains, a carved wardrobe filled with gowns I had never dared imagine. And yet all of it felt alien. A cage wrapped in velvet. My mind wasn’t here. Not in this room, not in this house, not in this life that had turned upside down in the space of a single day. My thoughts drifted back, again and again, to Lila.I pictured her small frame hurrying about the servant’s quarters, her bright eyes flashing when she scolded me for forgetting to eat. Was she safe? Was she still at the mercy of Crystal’s venom? I had left her behind without a
