Alex had been waiting for Liza's call all morning. He didn't know if Liza had made the right choice by leaving Jonathan because he could see how torn she really was over leaving Jonathan. He knew that Liza was determined to find herself and he knew that once she set her heart at something she would never back away from it. But he worried for her. There was a time when he had loved Liza. She had been the only one to see past the mask he put on, the only one to believe in him when even his parents had given up hope. But that was a long time ago. He still loved Liza but like a friend. He had seen Liza when she had told him about when Liza and Jonathan had first met.
