AVA

I got suspicious looks from my parents when I got home, but I guess that’s to be expected when your daughter rocks up late at night with her own clothes bundled under her arm just wearing a t-shirt that smells of one of the Alpha heirs.

I did explain that we’d been to the lake after dinner and I’d just gotten wet, but they definitely didn’t believe that was all that happened.

Fortunately, they just let me head to bed without asking awkward questions.

Once I’d showered and changed, I flopped down in bed with a giggle as I thought about the night’s events, before my thoughts were disrupted by the sound of my phone pinging with the creation of a group chat with all four of the boys.

The Five

Callum: I had a great time tonight, little one, and I know you did too.

Oscar: I’m going to go to sleep thinking about how you feel in my arms.

Noah: I hope you’re still wearing my t-shirt, Princess.

Ava: Of course, I put it back on after my shower and everything. My parents did look at me funny when I turned up smelling of you though, Noah.

Theo: Thanks for the visual of you in the shower, now I’m never going to sleep.

Ava: Goodnight, boys, don’t stay up too late dreaming of me.

Callum: No promises there, little one.

By the time morning came, I’d hardly slept either, my thoughts constantly interrupted by the four of them. And I’d agreed to spar with the four of them in training. I slept for three hours. I just had to hope they hadn’t fared much better.

The Five

Ava: Good morning, boys. I hope you slept well and are ready for me to knock you on your asses later.

Noah: As long as you end up on top of me, you can knock me on my ass whenever you want, Princess.

I chuckled at Noah’s response. Absolutely shameless.

Ava: I’m going for a run, I’ll see you all at school.

Callum: I’m counting down the minutes, little one.

Beta Alexander was already at the training ground again when I got there. “Ava, good morning!”

“Morning Beta,” I yawned.

“Did you not sleep very well, Ava? Does this have something to do with my sons?”

I chuckled, trying not to cough. “I’m not sure you want me to answer that question, Beta.”

He smirked. “You’re probably right, Ava. They might be my sons, but if they hurt you, I’ll kick their asses for you.”

“Thanks, Beta,” I smiled. “Luna promised the same thing if her sons hurt me.”

“Running with me again today, Ava?”

“If you’re game, Beta.”

We raced through the woods in our wolf forms until it was time for me to grab breakfast and head to school.

The school day dragged, only interrupted by brief moments of elation when I saw one of the boys. I was exhausted, but it looked like the boys were even more tired than I was. Fingers crossed I could actually knock them all down…

And guess what? I did.

“Jeez, Ava,” Noah winced. “I think you’ve broken my shin.”

“It’s just bruised,” I laughed. “You’ll be fine.”

The surrounding pack members all laughed at my interaction with the four boys after they were all on their feet again.

Before I could grab a bottle of water, I was cornered by the Alpha and Luna. “That was amazing, Ava!” Luna Amelia exclaimed. “Our sons definitely needed taking down a peg or two.”

“Mine did too, Ava!” Beta Alexander shouted across the field.

Before I could respond, I was surrounded by the four of them; trapped in between four muscled but very sweaty bodies.

“You might have taken us all out, Princess,” Noah whispered in my ear, his hands running through my hair. “But I still need you.”

I smirked up at him, gasping when he bent down, pressing his lips to mine.

“Oi, boys!” Beta Alexander shouted out across the field. “Put my assistant trainer down, we’ve got stuff to do.”

“Sorry, dad,” Oscar and Callum mumbled.

Next, Beta Alexander had me take down five trained warriors at once to demonstrate how best to deal with multiple attackers. I was sluggish from lack of sleep, but on the plus side, I still managed it. It just meant the warriors landed a couple hits more than they normally would have done.

I wiped the blood away from my nose once the spar was done with, grimacing at the feel of a broken nose healing. Thankfully, Artemis meant I could heal anything pretty quickly these days.

“Good job today, Ava,” Beta Alexander pulled me into a hug as he spoke. I smiled back at him, rubbing my arm where the bruises were healing.

Isabella skipped across the field towards me, flinging her sweaty arms around my neck. Leo was just behind her, and the twins were bringing up the rear. “You’re amazing!” She held my face, tilting it back and forth, her brows furrowed in confusion. “You’ve already healed?”

I nodded. “I heal very quickly.”

Once Isabella stepped back, Leo pulled me into a hug. A hug that drew growls from the twins behind him. “I have never had more fun at training than I did tonight watching you put these four on their asses, Ava,” he chuckled. “Now I’m going to run away before one of them kicks my backside for touching you.”

Theo pulled me into his arms, checking me over for wounds too. “I’m fine, Theo, honest,” I protested. “I’m just tired and I was a little sluggish.”

All four of the boys were suddenly smirking at me. “I hope that wasn’t our fault, little one,” Callum chuckled.

“You know fully well it was,” I retorted. “Thanks to you four, I had a broken nose, again.”

Their faces dropped, Theo inspecting my face more closely. “Are you okay? Do you want us to take you to the hospital?”

I chuckled. “I’m fine, Theo. I heal very well, it’s already healed.”

“Wait, again?” Oscar asked, his face a picture.

I rolled my eyes. “Yup. I train hard, I’ve had a lot of injuries.”

Beta Alexander came to stand behind me, his arm around my shoulders again. “Me too,” he chuckled. “Of the last five times I’ve come home with a broken nose, our little spitfire here probably caused four of them.”

AVA"Is this really necessary?" I grumbled, stumbling over what felt like the hundredth root as Oscar's hands remained firmly clasped over my eyes. The midnight air bit at my cheeks, my breath forming small clouds that I couldn't even see."Stop whining," Theo said, his voice warm with amusement as he guided me from the left. "We're almost there.""It's freezing, I'm tired, and these shoes were not made for hiking through the woods at midnight," I complained, though there wasn't much heat behind my words. Curiosity had overridden my irritation about twenty minutes ago."Just a few more steps," Noah promised from somewhere ahead."You said that ten minutes ago," I muttered, but allowed myself to be led forward.

AVAHours later, we finally emerged from our suite, dressed in our finest. I smoothed the crimson velvet of my gown, the gold embroidery catching the light as we descended the grand staircase. My Kings flanked me in their matching formal wear—black suits with crimson accents that proclaimed our unity to all who saw us."Ready?" Noah murmured, offering his arm.I nodded, taking a deep breath as we approached the massive double doors of the grand dining hall. The guards stationed outside straightened, then swung the doors open wide. The scene that greeted us stole my breath. Every table in the vast hall was filled, the space transformed by evergreen garlands and twinkling lights. Though many festival visitors had returned to their own territories for Christmas Day, a

AVAThe first light of Christmas morning filtered through the curtains, casting a golden glow across our bedroom. I blinked awake, momentarily disoriented by the tangle of limbs surrounding me. Last night's Christmas Eve celebrations had ended with the five of us curled together in our new matching crimson pajamas, reading winter tales until we'd drifted to sleep.Christmas. The realization jolted me fully awake, excitement bubbling up inside me like champagne. I carefully extricated myself from between Noah and Theo, my heart racing with anticipation."Wake up!" I bounced on the mattress, jostling my four sleeping Kings. "It's Christmas!"Groans answered me as they stirred reluctantly."Come on, get your asses up!" I tugg

AVAI woke to whispered voices and the unmistakable feeling of being watched. Sunlight streamed through a gap in the curtains, painting a golden stripe across our massive bed. As consciousness fully returned, I realized I was thoroughly tangled in a knot of warm male bodies—Callum's arm heavy across my waist, Oscar's legs intertwined with mine, Noah pressed against my back, and Theo's hand somehow laced with mine despite being on the far side of Callum. And they were all very much awake. And very obviously up to something.I cracked one eye open to find four pairs of eyes staring at me with barely contained excitement."What are you lot going on about at this time in the morning?" I grumbled, voice still rough with sleep. I made a half-hearted attempt to burrow back

AVAI woke with the dawn, feeling more refreshed than I had any right to after dancing until the early hours. But today was special—the part of the festival I'd been looking forward to most."Everyone up," I called, nudging my sleeping Kings. "The Kingdom Run starts in an hour."Noah groaned, burying his face deeper into his pillow. "Five more minutes.""Not a chance," I said, yanking the covers off all four of them. "This was my idea and you're not making me look bad by being late."Theo sat up first, ever the dutiful one. "Coffee first," he mumbled, rubbing his eyes.Within thirty minutes, we were dressed in simple robes, easy to remove before shifting. I could bare

AVAI stood at the window of our suite, watching the sun start to dip below the horizon. Below, the courtyard glowed with thousands of twinkling lights strung between towering evergreens. The moment I'd been planning for what felt like forever had finally arrived."Ready, love?" Noah's voice was warm against my ear as his hands settled on my waist.I turned to face him, heart skipping at the sight of him in his tailored suit. The white gold tie clip gleamed against the black fabric, the tiny ruby at its centre catching the light."Almost can't believe it's here," I admitted, smoothing my hands over the crimson fabric of my gown. "The nineteenth of December. Our first Christmas festival."Noah's blue eyes softened as he rea
