LOGINFernandez stood tall, looking at Lily. His dark inky hair rested on his face while his hands were in his pocket. At first, his gaze softened but quickly turned cold, which made Lily not to notice it. he slowly looked away from Lily and walked to his car, where the damage was made. He softly sighed and folded his arms. He wore a black polo and black trousers, and he was absolutely stunning.
His black outfit and the black rolls Royce made his fair skin stand out in a very handsome way. He was out of this world that anyone would think of him as someone who existed in another dimension. His features were beyond the average human features.
Lily didn’t put any makeup on and her low hair bum became messy. Why do people you don’t expect to see come out when you look rough?
“Uhm…, M-m-mr” she stuttered, her throat ran dry. She closed her hands and sighed deeply
“Mr. Fernandez, I’m so sorry” she clasped her hands together “I was trying to stop…”
“how are you going to take care of this damage?” his cool yet firm voice cut her off. She still found his voice deep and pleasant as she remembered.
“please believe me, it was never my intention to damage your car”
“how does believing you repair the damage done on my car?”
“uhm…” Lily’s voice was shaking, she decided to take a deep breath while looking at the ground to calm her nerves down.
With a deep breath, she looked up “how much do you think the cost will be to repair your windscreen?” she swallowed while Fernandez peeled his emotionless eyes from her to the old man.
“Sir Lucian, how much will it cost to take care of this damage?” sir Lucian cleared his throat before he spoke.
“about two hundred thousand dollars’ sir” Lily felt like her mouth ran dry and her blood instantly drained. She couldn’t speak for a while. Where on earth would she get two hundred thousand dollars??
Lily was still in shock when Fernandez smirked. He leisurely moved closer to her “Cat got your tongue?” he continued smirking but Lily could only blink because the sight of him smirking was too beautiful. His eyes then drifted to her blue blouse.
“why do you always wear blue?” he suddenly asked.
“because I love blue” She retorted immediately.
“Interesting” he said as he slowly adjusted her collars. Lily’s brow furrowed, she knew her collars were perfect but she figured he enjoyed fixing her collars. So she kept mute. Not like she had a problem with it, as a matter of fact she loved it.
“why do you love blue?”
Lily blinked and fell silent for a moment. She slowly looked down at her hands and subconsciously bit her inner cheek. No one had asked her why she loved blue.
“because there was a certain person in my life who loved blue” she felt a pang in her chest when she remembered the person. While she still looked at her hands solemnly, Fernandez hands halted on her collars. He slowly put his hands back in his pockets. There were emotions in his eyes, not one of anger but of sadness.
“well… blue suits you” he said softly. Lily looked up quickly. She searched his face to see if he was mocking her but he was actually genuine, he meant what he said. A smile crept on her face and her heart skipped a beat. she liked that he didn’t mock her. Her smile soon faded when she remembered she was in a dire situation.
“Mr. Fernandez, about your windscreen… i… I’ll… I’m” Lily was stammering at this point. She really didn’t know how to go about this situation. She didn’t have money to pay for it. who would be willing to loan her two hundred dollars? How could she leave Frostwynd for greener pastures only to end up in generational debt?
As she struggled to articulate what she’d say, Fernandez tucked her hair at the back of her ear.
“you’re really intriguing miss Lai, you weren’t this anxious the last time we spoke” he said
“well that’s because I didn’t break your windscreen sir” she feigned her smile causing Fernandez to chuckle. She was acting as if this situation was scarier but to her, it was scarier. She could be taken to the police station.
Now she remembered that night, an idea popped up in her head. she moved closer to him and looked at him with her big doe eyes.
“Mr. Fernandez, I can work for you” she said innocently but firmly. She soon later regretted it because she remembered she had two hectic jobs she did Monday to Saturday but it was already too late to take it back.
The man looked at her, this time, his face was neutral despite seeing her seriousness.
“Oh?”
“I can work as your chef” she said and smiled brightly like a child.
“can you make inter-continental dishes?” Lily still maintained her smile even though she fell silent for a while. She didn’t even know how to make most of her country’s delicacies.
“I can be your stylist” still maintaining her child like smile, hoping he’d say yes but Fernandez looked at Lily from head to toe. The silence was loud Lily thought she could hear a cricket noise.
“okay, maybe not your stylist but I can be your…” someone cut her off
“for goodness sake just give her the job would you? she’s the perfect match.” The person butted in. Lily turned back to see who cut her off.
The man who cut her off was tall like Fernandez and handsme, but not as handsome as Fernandez. He wore a burgundy leather jacket and which matched his fair skin and his long dark hair. he was standing close to the car while he folded his arms as he watched them. apparently he was in the car all this while.
Immediately Lily’s eyes met his eyes, the man smiled. “good evening Lily” he said. There were a lot of questions that spiraled in her head. who was he to Fernandez? How does he know her name and…
“what do you mean I’m the perfect match?” she asked, blinking more than usual in a puzzled way.
“we need a contract girlfriend” he began, “we’ve been searching for the right match for a while now. And while I sat in the car watching the both of you talk, I figured since you don’t have the money to pay for the windscreen” Lily flinched when he said windscreen “you can work for Fernandez as his girlfriend”
Lily tried to see if the man had an ulterior motive behind his smile, but nothing felt off and he seemed really genuine. Her suspicion dissolved and she immediately agreed with him.
“you see, Mr. Fernandez? I can work as your girlfriend” she said. For a moment, she saw Mr. Fernandez looking at the man with a deathly glare, but it disappeared, as if it never happened the moment he stared at her.
“Mr. Fernandez, I want to be your contract girlfriend” she said with confidence.
do y'all think Fernandez will accept Lily?
“did you go to school at all? Why can’t you fucking comprehend that this is not a joking matter? Stop trying to know me because I don’t want to fucking know you.” he bluntly said, his breath was like fire.Lily’s hopes crushed instantly and her chest tightened. Tears were gathering in her eyes but she was quick to blink the tears away. She wasn’t going to cry, to humiliate herself once more.“Okay” she said quietly. “I’m sorry for pestering you” she began as she stared at Fernandez “I won’t do that ever again and I’m sorry for damaging your windscreen, I’ll find a way to pay you back.” she said and smiled, a bittersweet smile. She didn’t know how she was going to payback, but she would pay back.“don’t worry about it” Fernandez said, his anger slowly dissipated. Lily didn’t say a word. Her smile faded and her face became unreadable. She just left, not wasting another second. She didn’t go to her shift at the coffee shop anymore because it was already late and the issues she faced few
Mr. Fernandez demeanor became cold the moment he heard her. he came closer to her, looked at her deeply into her eyes, with an emotion Lily couldn’t decipher. “so you can compensate me for my damaged car?”“that is part of it. I don’t have the money to pay, and I really don’t want to live a life of debt”“what if I say, I forgive you, and you don’t have to pay a single dime? would you leave me alone?”Lily was taken aback but she knew it was a what if situation. Could he be testing her resolve? She tried to decipher something, any single emotion in his eyes, to see if he was serious but she couldn’t get anything. It hurt her that he might have meant what he said, what she didn’t understand was why he was resisting her so much.“if you forgive me, I’d be so grateful, but that won’t stop me from wanting to know you.” this time, she didn’t falter and insisted on what she wanted. The man was speechless. Under those void eyes, Fernandez was genuinely intrigued. Asides Lily, he had never se

LiLily saved the number on her phone as Mr. Fernandez. She wanted to call the number but she didn't have an iota of what to say. Should she shamelessly ask for where he resides? How would she even introduce herself knowing fully well he might not remember her. Would he be the one to answer the call? That would be awkward but then how would she meet him? Before she knew it, Lily drifted to sleep without achieving her goal for the night. In the end she didn't call the number The next morning, Lily woke up early as usual. After eating breakfast she went to work. she spent a pleasant morning at the Library. Due to the fact that most of her co workers weren't around because of the library program they were hosting, Lily had an ample amount of time to read without any disturbance. She felt recharged and fulfilled. Perhaps getting consumed in the world of books brought her immense joy and fulfilment. When she left the library, Lily boarded a taxi and headed to her nex
“so??? who is he??? I need details babe? Who is this Mr. that has caught my baby’s eyes?” Diana said grinning from ear to ear.“well I didn’t get his name, I only know his surname, Fernandez” Diana pouted after hearing what Lily said but her excitement came up quickly again and asked her how she met him. Lily said she saw him on her way home last night, but she left out the rejection part and the daring thing she did.“he’s really really handsome. He should be a business man; I wonder what kind of business he’s into though.”“wow, I really want to know who this guy is because in all my years of knowing you, this is the first time you’re saying a guy is handsome, might I add the really really handsome part?”“serious?”“are you for real? You have never cared about men before, you don’t even regard them, they could literally be in front of you and you wouldn’t notice them.” Diana said and her eyes sparked with sudden mischief “so?? what are you going to do about the really really handso
Lily still couldn’t understand what kind of spirit possessed her to do what she did earlier when everything replayed in her head. Was she that desperate? She never thought of doing that, she always imagined that it’ll be a guy that would make the first move. how she got the bravery she didn’t know, what shocked her more was when she sacrificed herself like a sacrificial lamb to him.“Then let me burn!” she winced, her face tightened at the memory of what happened earlier. Lily was aware she had finally lost her wits, but for an odd and fond reason she didn’t regret it and instead of withdrawing she felt drawn to him more. She suddenly felt motivated too, like a little bit of hope got lit in her heart. He clearly wouldn’t love her back, and although she was attracted to him, she couldn’t imagine loving a cold and heartless man. He obviously looked like someone whose heart was made of stone. She had always imagined loving a man who lit the room with warmth, his smile as bright as the su
