18 - Olivia and Joseph (2)

Olivia said a little prayer and thanked Gift for the food as she picked her cutlery, her motion not too rushed or too slow. 

Her lunch box had a heater that let her food stay warm at least, so she had nothing to worry about. 

Just before she started to eat, she spared her table partner a glance and saw that he was looking at her with a drool running down the side of his mouth. 

She frowned as she looked down and saw that he had wiped his tray clean of any grain of food and frowned. 

She hadn't heard him chewing loudly to indicate that he had rushed the food, yet in less than five minutes he was done. 

Joseph on the other hand could no longer bear to see the food getting pushed further away and abandoned just like that, so he sympathized with it. 

“That, you don't want to eat it?” He pointed to the food tray set aside.
