My hands shook as I pressed against the wound, blood seeping between my fingers. "No no no no no!"

"Move aside!" Someone tried to push me away, but I snarled, my wolf surging forward.

"DON'T TOUCH ME!" I screamed, hunching protectively over Carson's body. His face was already pale, black lines of silver poisoning spreading from the wound with terrifying speed. "Carson, please, open your eyes. Look at me!"
