Covering the phone from my body I looked at the screen to find that the call was from my mother. We looked at each other before looking back at the screen. All the color of our face drained and it felt like someone has thrown a bucket full of cold water on us to bring us down from our high! 

I gave the phone to her because I know that my mother would not scold her soon to be daughter in law. 

"Talk to her"

Her eyes became wide and her lips parted.
