Kylian went closer to his father's bed, deciding to gently prop him up in his grand bed. He observed a thin sheen of sweat on his brow. He decided to open up the windows to take away the heat and afterwards, he sauntered back to the bedside.

He stood there for a moment, simply watching the rise and fall of his father's shallow breaths. But suddenly, the Alpha began to cough, a deep, rasping sound that racked his weakened body.

Without a second thought, Kylian hurried to the small table by the bedside where a pitcher of water and a cup were placed. He poured a cup of water and returned swiftly to his father's side.
