Hailey POV

The healer left and I was taken back to the cell. I don't know what the hell she applied on my back but it made me sleep a lot. I don't really know if it's the ointment, pregnancy or the pain.

Whichever one it is, I knew I slept a lot and the guard didn't even wake me up. On other days he would have woken me up forcefully not to sleep but he didn't. He just stood by the corner, and he was being unusually gentle today.
