Chapter 51: Prelude to a Date

In an instant, she had a feeling of deja vu, as if she saw him from her childhood, tightly holding her hand and saying, "Vivi, you can't leave me!" Dating? Was she really going to date someone like him? She suddenly felt like walking on a tightrope, with a possible abyss below and a foggy path ahead. Whether she moved forward or backward, it was all unknown.

"I'll pick you up tomorrow," his voice interrupted her reverie.

"Pick me up?" she looked at him in confusion.

"For a date," he casually uttered the words.

Vivienne was a bit dumbfounded. She and Asher had spent a considerable amount of time together since childhood, but they had never officially gone on a date.

"So, because we're dating, you want to go on a date with me?" Vivienne asked after pondering for a moment.

"Yes," he said with a sense of entitlement.

She was momentarily speechless.

Back in her dorm room, Vivienne collapsed onto her bed, feeling as if she had drained all her energy in just a few hours. She was exhausted.
