Chapter 7: Don't Say a Word

The kiss was intense, frantic, and restless. But she clenched her teeth tightly, resisting his intrusion, and struggled with all her might. Suddenly, he raised his right hand and exerted a slight force on her chin.

"Ah!" A sensation of pain shot through her as the irresistible strength compelled her to open her mouth. His tongue effortlessly entered her oral cavity, entwining with her small tongue, continuously savoring her saliva as if he wanted to consume her completely.

"Mmm, Asher, please don't..." Her broken voice escaped her lips, but her struggles meant nothing to him. It only made it easier for him to conquer her mouth.

Her mouth was filled with his breath, and his fingers gripping her chin prevented her from closing it. Saliva trickled from the corner of her mouth, following the line of her jaw.

"Don't think about breaking the promise. You can't break it!" he murmured, his tongue licking and sucking the corner of her lips.

Gasping for breath, she used all her strength with her left hand to push him away. "You can't do this to me. If you continue, I'll call the police!"

Her right hand was still in his grasp, and he stared at her, tightening his grip on her fingers, causing the bones in her hand to crack.

The pain surged once again. Just as she thought he would actually crush her right hand, he suddenly released his grip, stomped on the accelerator, and the car sped away from the parking lot like an arrow.

The scenery outside the car window rapidly receded. The excessive speed made Vivienne dizzy. "Stop the car! Stop!" she shouted.

Asher ignored her pleas, his gaze fixed on the road ahead, as if all his attention was focused on driving.

The car continued its journey from the bustling city towards a secluded and sparsely populated area. The speed increased, and after an unknown duration, the car abruptly braked and stopped by the riverside.

Vivienne felt as if she were floating. She opened the car door and stumbled out, taking in several deep breaths of fresh air.

The night riverside was silent, with only the sound of the river and the wind. A pair of arms embraced Vivienne from behind, and she was instantly engulfed in a wide embrace.

"Do you know how many people have died in this river?" His lips approached her ear, whispering softly.

Every hair on her body stood on end, and she felt a chilling coldness all over. "What are you going to do?!" she asked.

"I just want to tell you that you mustn't break the promise. Otherwise, I don't know what I might do." His lips lightly brushed against her earlobe, sucking on it slowly, as if indulging in the most lethal drug, becoming addicted.

He's like a madman! Completely insane!

She stiffened, and his hands tightened around her waist, gripping tightly.

"It was you who said it. The pact we made, the unchanging promise to be together for a hundred years. You can never escape it in this lifetime," he continued to whisper. Her ears and cheeks were filled with his breath. "I let you go for ten years, so you will be mine, and mine alone. No one can take you away, not even yourself."

The cold river water, accompanied by his icy voice, flowed into her ears word by word.

She turned around, staring at him in a daze. Under the silver moonlight, he was beautiful and ethereal, like a deity untainted by worldly affairs. But in his dark eyes, there was a deep sense of ruthlessness.

It was as if he silently warned her that she better not say a word he didn't want to hear!
