Seven years later, a woman in a black shade and an expensive blue gown sat on a stool in a well known design company, popularly known as 'Energy Designs and Cometics.' She was carrying a six year old extraordinary handsome boy on her lap and they were chatting happily. One could tell that this was a mother and her son.
Different customers had been coming inside the company since morning and they would just purchase what they want and leave. However, some particular customers came in and demanded to see the CEO of the company. The staffs had to tell these customers that the CEO was unavailable.
Actually, the woman who was carrying the baby and seated in one side of the hall was the CEO but she had instructed her staffs to tell anyone who asks of the CEO to be told that she's unavailable.
"Do you not have an idea of who is demanding to see your CEO?" one of the customers who was a male, asked. Apparently, these particular customers are two males and one female.
The staff before them cowered, "I'm sorry but the CEO is unavailable."
"Then this place will be closed down until your CEO is available," the man who just finished speaking said.
This infuriated the woman carrying her son, actually, this woman was Asa and that cute boy he's carrying on her lap was her beautiful son, Afred. Afred was a product of the one night stand she had seven years ago.
"Alfred, why don't you go upstairs and play with your toys, I need to deal with some customers." Asa said to the boy. The little one nodded and walked upstairs.
Then she walked towards where these customers stood. At once, she recognized one of the men, he was the man she had sex with seven years ago. Well, she paid him so it's no big deal.
"I assume you are the manager here?" The particular customer that had been speaking asked, "My master needs a specially made custom design for his bride to be."
Bride to be? The man she had sex with seven years ago is getting married now. Wow... She took a closer look at the 'bride to be' and although her face seems familiar, she couldn't place where she knows her anymore.
"Well, I'm not the manager. I'm the CEO." Asa said proudly. "My name is Asa by the ways."
"Well, mine is Timofel, so can you lead me to your office and we can talk." He said. "There is this design we saw on your company's website, the one with three logos, that's the one we want."
"That one... It's a custom design. Took me lots of efforts, unfortunately, I design it for myself." She said. "I can't make such design for anyone."
"There are many designs here, you can choose one of it." She said.
"We don't want any of these, that one with three logos is the one my boss's fianceé wants," Timofel said.
"I told you just now I can't make it. If you don't want any of the designs here, you may just leave," she said. She could not help but keep glancing at the quiet man behind Timofel, the man she had a night stand with years ago. She wondered why he was quiet, she also wondered if he remembers her. The most important thing is for her to stay as far away from him cause she doesn't want him to know about his her.
"You are rude!" Timofel rebuked, "you must make this design and you must do that in three days."
"No man born of a woman can force me to do what I'm not willing to do. And who in the world did you think you are, Timofel?" She asked angrily. She would never make that design for anyone. The design means so much to her.
The man behind Timofel made a gesture, Timofel understood and the three adults turned at once and walked away.
She was a little confused with what just happened. Why did they suddenly walk away? Did they have a plan for her? Who is he? Could he be a powerful somebody? She walked quickly to the window in an attempt to have a glimpse of the type of car they brought but they already dissapeared.
They can't do anything to her, she made herself confident even as she find her way upstairs. She had barely sat in her office when another knock came in.
"Who is it again?" She asked in a loud voice.
The door opened and a man walked in. She recognized this man immediately, this was her ex husband, Oleg.
She hadn't seen him since she divorced him seven years ago, "what do you want? And what right do you have to enter my office? I do not remember having any appointment with you?"
He went to sit with half his ass on her table and crossed his legs, "sweetheart, why didn't you tell me you have my son?"
"What do you mean by that?"
Then he made a gesture and Alfred was brought in by two tall and burly men, they were holding Alfred in both arms. Asa ran to them and snatched her son away from them but the two burly men didn't fight back at all.
She held her son protectively and said, "my son isn't yours. Now get out of my office."
Oleg cackled, "I already made it clear seven years ago after you caught me having sex with your stepmom that I don't love you and the truth is, I never will. So I'm not here because of you, I'm here because of my son. Why have you hid him from me?"
"He's not your son. Get out of here, you nincompoop!" She said angrily.
Oleg smirked wickedly and stood upright, he looked at the little one and said, "son, what's your name?"
However, Alfred was scared of him so he didn't respond. Oleg looked at Asa as if she was the one who told Alfred not to respond. "I'm coming tomorrow to claim him. Mentally prepare yourself." Then he walked away with the two men that brought Alfred.
Once they dissapeared, she quickly examined Alfred to be sure he was fine then she ran out to meet her receptionist, "how did they get inside?"
"They took our security men down, we actually thought they came to rob you ma," the receptionist said.
She sighed and walked back upstairs, why is today an unfortunate day. First, she met the man she had a night stand with seven years ago and on the same day, her ex husband appeared, trying to claim her baby.
She looked at Alfred who was seated on the couch in the office and said to him, "that man is not your dad, okay?"
"Okay mommy." The little one answered.
She exhaled deeply and slapped her forehead in frustration.
But Andrei wasn't listening. "You've given our son to that monster!" With that, he stormed out, leaving Asa devastated in his wake.He believed the boy was his own flesh and blood, and Asa was the woman from his past. His turbulent emotions rendered him silent, even when his own sister greeted him warmly. His cold demeanor was unmissable.Asa, on the other hand, simmered with frustration. She had hoped for a heartfelt reunion, an expression of gratitude. After all, she hadn't just stood by idly; she'd made sacrifices to secure his freedom. She glanced at Juliet, searching for some understanding in her friend's eyes, but found only mirrored confusion. The assistant, too, remained conspicuously silent.Juliet finally spoke, her gaze drifting to the floor, "My brother detests feeling powerless, especially in the face of defeat. By trading something so precious for his freedom, you unintentionally wounded his pride. It's a deep-seated pain for him."With a mix of determination and hope, A
Alfred's eyes widened in confusion. "Am I going back to Dad, Mom?"His mother looked at him, her eyes brimming with tears. "Yes, sweetheart. This is just a temporary exchange. I promise you, Biden won't harm you in any way. It's so I can get Andrei back." Alfred blinked hard, his little chin trembling. "Okay, Mom," he whispered.Trying to lighten the mood, Asa playfully nudged Alfred's shoulder. "Ready to go?" she asked with a brave smile.Alfred looked up. "Are you coming too, Mom?"She pulled him into a warm embrace. "I'll come with you, but I can't stay, okay?"The journey to Biden's residence was shrouded in an oppressive silence. Asa was drowning in guilt and sadness, knowing the emotional turmoil her child was undergoing.Biden awaited their arrival with a mix of eagerness and caution. As he saw Alfred, a genuine smile appeared on his face. "Look who's here, my boy!" he chuckled. To Alfred's surprise, it was the first genuine term of endearment he'd heard from Biden. Alfred's c
A tense quietude settled between them, only the faint hum of the room's air conditioner breaking the stillness."The intel came in moments ago. He's reportedly been apprehended and is currently held by Biden," the assistant whispered, a hint of unease in his voice.Asa's eyes widened in shock, "Impossible!" Her voice echoed with disbelief."I need to be there, right now," she declared, determination marking her features as she turned on her heel. The assistant reached out, his fingers grazing her arm. "You can't just waltz in there; it's treacherous."She brushed him off with a swift motion, "Biden won't harm me." She looked past him, "Come, Alfred."The assistant's voice grew firm, yet caring. "Madam, if you're hell-bent on this, at least leave the boy. It's no place for him."Asa paused, her gaze softening as she turned to Alfred. "Promise me you'll stay safe here," she murmured, planting a gentle kiss on his forehead before taking her leave.Upon reaching Biden's estate, Asa's pres
As the weight of Andrei's intentions bore down on the room, a sharp gunshot rang out. Agony lanced through Andrei's leg, sending him collapsing in pain. Biden's ace, a concealed marksman, had made his move, changing the course of their face-off.In the vast, dimly illuminated chamber of Biden's lair, an intricate dance of power and confrontation was underway. Biden, exuding an air of controlled confidence, slowly sauntered towards Andrei. Each step resonated with purpose, echoing his dominant position in this dangerous tango. With a graceful bend, he plucked the firearm that had fallen during their earlier altercation, feeling its cool weight against his skin.Lifting his gaze, he studied Andrei, whose posture, albeit weakened from the gunshot, still radiated defiance. "You know," Biden began, drawing each word out deliberately, "it's almost laughable – the audacity you've shown, believing you could penetrate the very heart of my domain, challenge my reign, and emerge victorious. Wha
The hospital room, with its stark white walls and the faint smell of antiseptics, stood in silent testimony to the myriad of emotions swirling within its confines. Shadows danced on the walls, mirroring the somber mood, while the monotonous hum of machines maintained a rhythmic undertone. Andrei, his tall frame slightly hunched from hours of anxious waiting, navigated the maze of medical equipment to approach the doctor. Each step was a testament to the storm of apprehension brewing within him, but he tried to hold onto a veneer of composure. "Doctor Harrison," he began, his voice weighed down with the heaviness of worry, "has there been any change in Asa's state? Can you provide any insights into her prognosis?"Dr. Harrison, a seasoned physician who had witnessed countless situations both triumphant and tragic, ran a weary hand through his silvering hair. "Mr. Petrov," he began, offering Andrei a sympathetic glance, "while we've managed to stabilize Asa for the moment, we're still
Then, in a turn no one could have predicted, Biden's assertive facade shattered. He crumbled to the church's cold floor, the weight of his past mistakes evident in his teary eyes. "I wronged you, Asa," he sobbed, his voice echoing in the cavernous space. "When I learned of our child, fear and pride dictated my actions. I'm behind the shadows that plagued you, the threats, the near-fatal encounters. I'm consumed by guilt and regret."The collective gasp of the congregation was palpable. As Asa processed this revelation, trying to reconcile with the Biden she once knew, Andrei, his face red with rage, took a step forward. Just as Asa opened her mouth, hoping to bring some semblance of peace, Andrei's voice, laden with fury and pain, filled the sacred space, addressing Biden's shocking confession.Amid the grandeur of the cathedral, with its soaring arches and echoing silences, the tension was palpable. Andrei, though visibly incensed, tried to maintain his composure, the muscles in his
