Farewell party

Diana Grace stepped out of her house, ensuring every inch of her body was covered, blending seamlessly into her surroundings. She hurried towards a public restroom a little ahead, her heart racing with anticipation. Once inside, she quickly pulled a short dress from her bag. As she slipped it on, the hem of the dress barely brushed her thighs, revealing their shapely, fair contours.

She glanced at herself in the mirror, her nerves evident in her reflection. "No one will see me," she murmured, trying to calm herself. "Just stay calm. I’ll get to the party and be back before anyone notices."

With one last look, she dashed out of the restroom, her legs carrying her swiftly to the roadside. She scanned the street for a taxi when suddenly, her gaze locked onto her half-brother, walking in her direction.

Panic surged through her. Quickly, she averted her face, ducking her head, and moved further down the road, hoping he wouldn't notice her. Just as she glanced back to check, a car came out of nowhere and clipped her, sending her stumbling with a sharp cry of pain.

"Ahh! What the fuck!" she yelled, clutching her arm and rubbing the sore spots on her legs. Anger flared in her chest as she stood up, her heart pounding. Even in her anger, she was striking, her big eyes narrowed, and her nose scrunched in frustration as she stormed towards the car.

She rapped sharply on the window. "Are you blind? You can’t drive, so why don’t you get a bicycle instead? How many people have you killed driving like this?"

Her tirade faltered as she finally took in the man sitting inside the car. Her breath hitched—he was devastatingly attractive. The kind of man women dream about but rarely meet. He was dressed in an immaculate office suit, a blue tie complementing his full black coat and pants, his expression cool and composed, eyes sharp with a dangerous edge.

Diana’s thoughts scrambled. *How can someone be so attractive and still look so… untouchable?* she wondered, momentarily stunned. The driver, looking uneasy, stepped out and gently ushered her away from the road.

“Oh man,” she muttered to herself, realizing how reckless she’d been, “I didn’t even notice where I was standing. I’m such an idiot.”

Embarrassment soon turned into irritation as she examined her wounds. “Look at this!” she cried to the driver, “I’m hurt! How am I supposed to go to my farewell party looking like this?”

The driver, visibly nervous, glanced back at the man in the car. Diana’s attention snapped back to the street when she saw her brother approaching again. Panic rose, and she instinctively ducked behind the stranger's car.

The man inside, observing her with a cold, amused smile, gave a quiet order to his driver, "Tell the girl to get in the car. I’m late for my meeting."

The driver nodded, "Yes, sir. As you wish." He quickly opened the door and gestured for Diana to sit beside the man.

Diana’s mind raced as she slid into the seat, her earlier bravado replaced with fear. *What is happening?* she thought. *Is this guy going to kill me?*

She turned to him, her voice trembling, "You’re not going to kill me, are you? I made a mistake, I’m sorry. You look rich, just let me go. I promise I won’t call the police."

The man’s response was a deep, unsettling laugh. "Relax," he said, his voice authoritative yet strangely comforting. "I’m not going to kill you."

She eyed him warily. "Then why did you make me get in your car? I’m already late, it’s 3 o’clock, and I have to be at my farewell party by 6."

He glanced at her, his eyes dark and captivating. "What’s your name?" he asked, his tone softening slightly.
