Letter

Dark. Cindy hasn't come home yet. Mrs. Ann was extremely worried and couldn't sit still. She can't reach Cindy's phone, and neither can William.

In fact, Cindy just temporarily locked the phone, so that her relatives would not call annoyed, after finding a place to stay, she will turn on the phone again.

While she is comfortable with the free life, Mrs. Ann fidgeted, worried.

Everyone knew how every member of the Farrah family protected their lady.

What if Cindy is kidnapped and blackmailed? But Mrs. Ann waited forever but no one called.

Moreover, Cindy used to learn karate, considering she is not easily bullied.

So, this situation does not happen.

So, where did she go in the end? Mrs. Ann thought.

"Don't worry, maybe Cindy goes to a restaurant with William. She doesn't answer the phone when you call." Mr. Brian said, calm and happy attitude. He kept thinking that his daughter and William were together.

Happiness in the heart of Mr. Brian flashed off as Niki ran down the stairs, panicking. "Master, madam, I found this letter in Ms. Cindy's bedroom while I was cleaning." She gasped at the announcement.

The elderly couple looked at the letter and then at each other, suspicious expressions.

Mrs. Ann stretched out her hand to take the letter. "The letter? Do you mean Cindy's letter? Why did she write the letter?"

She had a premonition that something bad was about to happen.

Niki said hesitantly. "I guess... maybe... she wrote a letter and ran away from home."

"What?" Mr. Brian got up from his seat, took the letter from his wife, opened it, and read it.

Dear father, and mother.

By the time you two see this letter, I was gone. The reason why I have to go, maybe you two also know. Father, I know that you are planning to marry me to a man I do not love. My life, I want to decide for myself. I apologize for doing this. When you annul the marriage, I will return.

Her parents' daughter, Cindy.

After reading, Mr. Brian tightened his grip on the letter, making it distorted and crumpled. His face grew even angrier. He curled up the letter and threw it on the floor.

He turned to Niki. "Did she bring any clothes?"

The butler shook his head. "No, sir. The clothes and jewelry she left in her bedroom."

"This morning, Cindy said she went shopping with William. That means, he indirectly helped her escape." Mr. Brian speculated.

Mrs. Ann couldn't stop crying. "What happened in the end? Why did Cindy leave? The relationship between her and William is very good, isn't it?"

Niki answered her lady's question. "In the letter, Ms. Cindy wrote that she did not love her fiancé."

Mrs. Ann was surprised. "Cindy doesn't love William? Oh my god, I thought they loved each other. Although Cindy doesn't love William, he loves her so much, I can see it. The fiancé helps his bride run away. Can anyone explain it to me?"

"Anyway, I'll do whatever it takes to get Cindy back." Mr. Brian said in a determined tone.

"Cindy said she'll come back if you annul this marriage. She doesn't love William, why are you forcing her to marry him?" Mrs. Ann shouted.

"No. This marriage must take place. Cindy must marry William." Mr. Brian rolled his eyes. 'Cindy, you're so good. You use William as a shield. But, your trick didn't work for me. As for William, I gave my daughter to you, and you helped her escape. What do you think about doing this? You're such an idiot.' He screamed in his heart.

"It's all your fault. If you hadn't made this silly request, our daughter wouldn't have run away from home." Mrs. Ann shouted again. She seems agitated.

"I have my reasons."

"What is it? Nothing is more important than our daughter, not even this marriage." Mrs. Ann answered with a raised voice.

"This marriage is very important. It will save our company from bankruptcy." Mr. Brian said in a calm tone.

Mrs. Ann rolled her eyes at her husband. "What do you say? Will our company go bankrupt?"

"There is such a risk. Farrah Corporation needs the capital of banker Dennis." Mr. Brian sighed.

"I see. Did you sacrifice Cindy's happiness to protect the company? You're selfish. I don't care what happens to the company, if Cindy encounters anything bad, you and I will end." Mrs. Ann warns her husband before leaving.

Mr. Brian sighed quietly. 'I have no other choice. The Farrah Corporation is my career, I can't let it go bankrupt. If the company fails, our family will become difficult. How can I let our daughter go hungry? I do this only for her future.' He said in his heart.

Mrs. Ann opened the door to Cindy's bedroom. She sat down on the bed, stroking the pillow Cindy used to lie on. "My daughter, where are you? You don't need this mother? Come back, please, I miss you so much." Mrs. Ann said, tears began to fall.

---

William drove home. As he entered the living room, he stopped abruptly, because Mr. Brian is sitting on the sofa with his mother.

He has a bad premonition. Certainly, Mr. Brian came here to ask about Cindy. How will he respond?

William wanted to hide, but couldn't, because his mother saw him.

"William, you're back. Come here, we have something important to ask you."

William walked towards them, bowed to Mr. Brian, and sat down in the chair across from them.

"Why did you help Cindy escape?" Mrs. Sam asked.

Mr. Brian stepped in. "You know that Cindy is your fiancée, why are you helping her run away? You don't love my daughter?"

William raised his head. "No. Cindy doesn't love me. If we get married, we'll suffer. She just sees me as her brother."

Mr. Brian sighed. "Love comes after marriage is normal. Cindy doesn't love you right now, but that doesn't mean in the future, she won't love you either."

"William, you're such an idiot. You're too gentle. Your happiness, you have to keep it." Mrs. Sam scolds her son. "Where is Cindy right now?"

"She went to Y city," William replied.

"Specific address?" Mr. Brian asked.

"I don't know. I haven't been able to reach her all week. Cindy's phone is always locked."
